I dont drink alchol either... no interest. I used to have a beer now and then on hot days, but it just made me want water, as I was really thirsty. So, I figure I will stick with water, and be happy, lol...0

I drink beer, make my own wine. I drink because I like the tase, not to get drunk, although that DOES happen once in a while. I might have up to 4 beers in one night, depending where I am and what I am doing. I will also have wine ever so often just for a change in taste. If you don't drink, that is great if that is your choice. If you used to drink and realized you had a problem and quit, good for you! I never forced or goaded anyone into drinking. It's a personal choice and I respect that.0

I haven't had a drink in over 3 decades. For me it was nothing but trouble. I don't really care what other people do. I will say I do not enjoy being around really drunk people, I don't care if they drink responsibly.0

I hate drinking, I do it at parties for just beer pong for the fun but other then that.. yuck.. I love Mary Jane though, she's nice to me.0

I think people who "dont feel the need to drink" obviously think of it as some sort of emotional/addiction thing??? I enjoy a glass or two of good red wine 3/4 times a week, normally with my meal. I like the taste, and it does relax me.
When people NEED to drink, thats when problems arise.
Alcohol in the UK is viewed very differently to the US, a local pub in England is a social gathering place, and 90% of people in it will be drinking alcohol. This doesnt mean they are all alcoholics. I dont really eat chocolate....i dont feel the need to.
Each to their own :-)0 -
No ....but really starting to think I should !0

I've been thinking about giving it up. For the most part I drink socially, but its a big part of my husband and my social lives. I am afraid at how it will impact our relationship and our get togethers.
But I feel like the alcohol is a major obstacle in my weight loss, so maybe I should be more afraid of what will happen if I don't lose weight.0 -
I read Allen Carr's How to control Alcohol, because I thought a friend of mine might have an alcohol problem.
Funny enough after reading the book decided I just don't wanna drink anymore... because there really is no point to it...
I never really got drunk....but what's the point in eating healthy if you gonna drink alcohol with it? what's the point of socialising if you're drunk and not really yourself? I have a list of reasons to not drink anymore,
Since I decided to change my lifestyle, I trying to improve in everything I posibly can, one step at a time.
Will I never ever ever drink again? I don't know. Just now I'm not gonna get al excited about it.0 -

I've worked in local addictions services in the UK as a psychologist. If only I had a pound for every person that said to me "I could give up tomorrow if I wanted to"....0 -
I don't drink anymore and really don't miss it much. I had a problem with it for a while and couldn't control it. Plus, I can't stop at just "one" if I have a drink. I'm MUCH better off without it.0

Yeah, I drink maybe every once every 6-8 months at the most. I never touched alcohol until I was 21. I never saw the big deal about it.0

I'll drink on the weekends, but after starting a family I've cut back a lot. No more nights of being a 'typical drunken sailor' just a night on the weekend to spend some time with friends and family and relax.
I've accepted it's empty calories, and don't understand people who get completely obliterated (and hate the ones who try to drive home after). For some people, it's best they don't drink. Others, its a nice activity to be enjoyed but not abused0 -
I have not drank since i became ill in january doctor said its best i dont so i have decided not too. I used to have a few drinks a week and i didnt mind it i enjoyed the taste but when your doc says your health is more important i tend to agree... I still go out with my wife and she will have a few here and there as will my buddies but again its there choice!0

I've only drank once in my life and never again..I don't see the point in getting drunk. I can't stand being around drunk people.0

I have probably had 3 beers and 2 glasses of wine in the past 15 years of my life. But, I do like to cook with different alcoholic beverages.0

I drink everyday because i'm cool and thats what cool people do. If you want to be cool like me, you'll drink everyday and rock and roll all night.
I drink on occasion, and I always log it. I've gone months without drinking though - not intentionally, just didn't feel like it. I do, however, respect others' decisions not to drink. I think it's a great choice if that's what works for you.0 -
In the past, I enjoyed one or two drinks in social situations only. Now, however, I don't consume alcohol that's not an ingredient in a recipe. To me, it isn't worth the empty calories.0

I will have a drink now and then but it's usually only one. I don't need to drink to enjoy being out with friends and if we do go out, I'm usually the DD so I have an excuse not to drink if they start to pressure me. I don't like how I feel when I drink so I simply don't do it.0
-
I never drink alone and never drink to get drunk anymore. I will have a drink or two with friends and family but I could drop it and never drink again. Water is plenty tasty on its own, I don't NEED to drink anything else. I sleep super soundly when I do have a drink or two though.0

I drink occasionally, but never more than one or two at a time. Never been drunk in my life and don't plan on trying it out any time soon.0
-
I don't drink. Just don't feel like it0

Did someone say free alcohol?0

I enjoyed the drink too much, which led to a very unhappy life. I have been sober now for a year and a half. I couldn't be happier. I sleep restfully, not passed out; I love my friends and family, and they love the new me; I wake up with a clear head every day. I am able to find the inner peace within instead of trying to find it in a bottle. I have found serenity and serenity has found me.0

I rarely drink, but when I do it's because I like the taste, not to get drunk off of it. For example, if there is Sangria, I will have some. I love the taste of it. Growing up my parents were alcoholics, stopped when I was nine and then when my dad died my mom started drinking again. In 2011 I lost my mother to stage 4 cirrhosis of the liver, which was a direct result of her alcohol abuse. This is what fuels me to be healthy and cherish the healthy body I was given. Kuddos to all of you that do not abuse alcohol0

I don't drink I used to drink I think I've drank probably a total of 6 times in my life I don't like it it makes me feel bad... So I don't drink ever now and it annoys my husband because he likes to drink and always wants someone to drink with but I can't stand how people act like such idiots while they are drinking so I'm always his designated driver... We have kids someone has to be responsible so it's me. Plus I have alcoholics in my family and the first place my grandma took me when I stayed at her house was to her AA meeting after me having to go with my parents for them to pick her up off her floor naked and turn off her gas stove more than once..... So.. I really don't like it or approve... No offense to the drinkers out there.0

I loved alcohol so much that I needed to stop. I haven't had a drop since June 16, 20000
