Hi, I love swimming, but I have no clue how to measure calorie burn in the water. How do you do it? (Oh, and btw, holy crap on your calorie burn for Monday... nice work!)
MFP does it for you when you enter that activity.....I have a heart rate monitor for everything else. BUT, I do find that the MFP's calculations are very close to my HRM on most things. And, Thank you! I had a ton of energy last night do decided to go for a run.......it was a bad idea...REALLY HOT!!!0 -

Wow, awesome! Two questions: first, how do you measure calorie burn in the water, and how long do you have to swim to burn that many calories? (I assume speed/exertion is a factor, as well...)

I went to about three different website and all of them came up about the same! I entered weight, age, and how long and hard (no laughing) I swam for! Swimming burns a TON of calories! Hope this helps!0 -
