I learned what a thigh gap was.
I don't have one either. I just learned what it was. :grumble:0 -

Define nonsense and who gets to judge that versus a difference of opinion. I've had people praise the Atkins diet and other swear it off as nonsense (just one example of many). Can you further quantify what you're defining as being eligible for attacking?
You'll most likely see nonsense around these parts in the form of demonizing a single maconutrient, food or ingredient with no regards to context or dosage. Other common nonsense is talk of starvation mode from skipping a meal, special snowflakes who think they can operate out side the laws of the universe, post hoc ergo propter hoc fallacies etc etc
lol at "special snowflakes"!0 -
You also forgot that "loose" and "lose" can be used interchangeably.
THIS drives me crazy! They are 2 different words that mean 2 different things.0 -
Awesome post. Very true.0

:drinker: Wow! I've learned the same things! Here's to you for pointing it out!0

I learned that even though I have been a dancer for 23 years that my fitness must have all been an illusion because science proves that weight lifting is the only way to be fit (you know because people evolved to only lift heavy weights in specific combinations). Every other physical activity shrinks your muscles and makes you skinny fat (and anyone that says any different is trying to sell you something). Btw, I am doing weight lifting. I have no problem with weight lifting itself.
p.s. Thank you so much for this post! I love you people!!! Thanks for making me laugh! :flowerforyou:0 -

20. You have to complete an application, a best match profile, send references, get a credit check, fitness exam, and a 5 page essay on why you would make good friends/support/company to add some MFPers as friends. :-P0

I learned there is a search button, and I learned it fairly late. I also learned if you don't learn this quick you get chewed on. My left leg has never looked the same.
I also learned that men and women have the EXACT same body composition and should be treated as such at all times, that is until of course I then learned that men and women have completely different body compositions and cannot be treated the same.0 -
"Sarcasm" should be designated with something, perhaps a "just kidding" at the end or even more simply, just "jk", so that those of us who have a stick firmly placed in our bums will know that it was a "sarcastic response."0

Ooo, apostrophes are to be used when you want to make a word plural.
Err, I mean, apostrope's. Sorry.0 -
Every few months, a new cast member of MFP will stumble into "Chit-chat, fun, and games", click on the first thread at the topic, then make a post proclaiming all to see, 'THIS ISN'T EVEN ABOUT WEIGHTLOSS OR FITNESS."0
