Lol
My man would do anything to make me happy as well.. He has sat through every premiere of the twilight movies with me. He hates twilight by the way... Lol and there is nothing wrong with wanting to see Channing tatum little cute self up on that stage0 -
THANK. YOU. Does anyone question a woman's orientation for wanting to go see some steamy flick where there are certainly going to be more boobs than any other form of scandalous skin on the screen? If you do, just... yeah, quit it. I don't even know what an appropriate analogy would be, because half-nude & fully-nude women on screen are far less of an exception than a rule, compared to men. I guess we could go with the action-movies-are-for-dudes stereotype, but in those there are usually plenty of extremely buff men on screen - just not IN the buff.
But yeah, I saw the movie with a pal last weekend (longest line for a matinee I've ever seen!), and I think Olivia Munn's bare boobs were on the screen for longer than any guy's bare butt. I don't have anything against Olivia Munn (she's funny as hell and very pretty), but for a movie that touted itself on thrusting, naked dudes, there sure wasn't much of that to go around. I don't know what more I really should have expected, though, walking into a rated-R major motion picture. Although I did get a couple of chuckles from the crowd reactions to particular scenes, and as we were walking out, I heard a lady tell her movie companion, "Oh man, that was naaasty. I'm so sorry I brought you to this." My friend apologized to me similarly, but more so because it was so far under her expectations.
Quoted for truth! WE (women) got all excited for the rare movie that was all about male nudity and saw more female nudity than male.
So far the closest to equality in nudity in a movie/show has been the Spartacus series off Starz. Male nudity about in that one....frontals included!!0 -
What's wrong with all of the above?0

Honestly, it's a pretty hysterical movie. There are some REALLY great lines there and the awkward factor of some scenes is just the icing on the cake.
I actually think he's a smart man and more men should take advantage of it.
Think about it, ladies. You're going to be watching INCREDIBLY attractive movie stars gyrating for 2 hours. You WILL be REARING to go once the movie lets out. Let's say your husband takes you -- my, my, my -- how convenient! He's RIGHT THERE to reap all the benefits and enjoy a sexy night with you, now that you're already turned on.
have fun!0 -
Oh look, a thread where people might be afraid of "teh ghey"0
-
OP, I wouldn't worry about it. It sounds like your husband wants to spend time with you.
I'm assuming "Magic Mike" is about some guy strippers?
Brb, I also have to google "Channing Tatum" as I have no idea what this person looks like and I want to see what all the hubub is about.
Enjoy your movie date OP!
edit: hm, he's cute. Today's version of Marky Mark LOL0 -
I'm kind of offended by some of the gay slurs I'm seeing. And since when did a guy watching a topless guy on screen make him gay? Jeeeeez.0

o_o .....
That is strange. Maybe either is husband of the year or you should be worried!
I don't know, this would irk me, personally. My dad ended up coming out of the closet at 50, soooo maybe I am a little biased. But I would definitely be freaking out!0 -

Thank you!!!0 -
Yeah my boyfriend said the same but I think he's just worried I'd be up licking the screen if he wasn't there to restrain me!0

I see no worries here though.
People should just be who they are. No judgement :drinker:0 -
My hubby went with me!!! He was one of two guys in the theatre :P
The lady beside me was beside herself even asked how I managed to get him to come. Honestly he loves chick flicks!! While this one may have been a little too female oriented :P0 -

Because if a man likes anything that a woman might like, he must be a closet homosexual. Or he could be a well-rounded individual who is secure in his sexuality? Noooooooo, must be a gay. That's the only solution! I don't get homophobia at all.0 -
My husband said he would definitely go with me. Saying he was bound to get la!d, either by me or one of the excited ladies there, lol. We haven't went yet, but are planning to.0

He's a very very smart man. I met up with a guy I've been casual with after I saw the movie. To quote him, "Seeing that film was the best decision you've made this weekend"0 -
to the op
D. he has no idea what the movie is about
or
E. hes trying to apologize for something with out telling what he did
:happy:0 -
Probably trying to be nice and maybe hoping it will make you want to play some bed sports.I've been elected as the official spokesman for all the straight men on the planet.
Speaking for our half of the species, we would rather smack our nuts with a tack-hammer than see this sh!tty movie.
Please drive home safely.
^ I am a woman and you would have to pay me a lot of money to get me to even consider going.0 -
I personally don't want to see it as I would prefer to see naked women instead of naked men. However my boyfriend said he would see it with me if I really wanted him to just because he would do anything to make me happy. I know its to make me happy and not because he is into naked men not that I have a problem with that. I'm bisexual and it would be fine if my boyfriend was too just as long as he is still attracted to me.0

1. watch magic mike with wife
2. wife gets all worked up for channing tatum for 2 hours
3. she is forced to settle for you at the end of the night anyway
4. oh well, guaranteed sex
Steve said it best! From what I have heard from tons of other guys as to why they won't go..... Mine refused as well....0 -
He probably thinks if he goes, he will benefit when y'all get home! Men are generally straight forward thinkers, so it is probably about the nookie :drinker:0
-
Let's be honest. He probably heard about how all the wives/girlfriends respond to the movie with their guys.0

This is pretty much my husband's exact answer lol0 -
Here's the lowdown. I'm allowed to tell you this, because I'm a brit which means I wasn't raised with all the homophobe crap that most American guys are raised with. A guy - I mean a genuine, secure in his sexuality guy - can watch half naked men and even appreciate their bodies without feeling sexual attraction to them. Your hubby is probably just wanting to take you to see the movie because he thinks you'll enjoy it and maybe it will turn you on and he'll get a bit of extra bedtime fun that evening.
Or maybe he's bi... but he's with you anyway, so you shouldn't be worried.
what He Said!!!0 -
Reading the topic alone was disturbing enough..
Amen BadCookie! well, said.0 -
Almost died laughing at the topic and some of the posts.
Love how between magic mike and Ted, we now live in a world where women go see movies about strippers and men go see movies about teddy bears....0
