[I am so excited to hear of someone else who makes their own yogurt. Do you use a yogurt maker or some other method?. When I was a kid my mother used to ferment it in a crock in our gas stove with just the pilot light for heat.

Will definitely try this. I make my own yogurt, so this will be awesome!
FYI -- You can strain regular yogurt to get it the thick, creamy consistency of greek yogurt. Use a cheesecloth, flour sack towel, etc in a strainer. Dump it in and stick it in the fridge until you get the consistency you want. Then just scrape it out. If it's thick enough, it will just plop right out of the cloth.
