Fellow Graduates!!
Graduated C25K last week! Woo Hoo!! Feels pretty awesome but I also know that this is just the beginning for me...who knew?:D My next goal is to keep working on pace & distance (I can do a full 5K now but I'd like to get it under 30:00), try different routes and eventually B210K or some other program. But when? How? I'm…

First 5K Done
Did my first 5K yesterday, finished in 36:31. I did have to walk about a quarter of the last mile (and I had to take an unexpected pee break at the turn around point, lol). I'm really proud of myself for finishing the race, although I little disappointed I couldn't run the whole thing. There were a few factors that…

Running Playlist
OK - so I found this super fab website for finding music that matches your pace. jogfm.com So - the pace I would LIKE to work at for this go at Cto5K is 13 min/mile. Yeah - that's a slow pace. I know. Last year I completed the program and RAN an entire 5K - several of them - in around 43-45 min each. So it's an improvement…

Week 4 support? ;c
Okay this week is SUPPOSED to be week four! However I tried doing day one and I could not do it all. I think it was a minute or two off the last run I had to do and I could not do it at all. I am redoing week three this week instead. Any ideas for Monday when I retry week four? I really love this program, I don't wanna…

WTF right leg? Why you so mad at me?
So I'm having problems with my right leg. --The medial/inside aspect of my right kneecap is achey. Doesn't matter if I'm running or hiking; when I'm done, it's mildly hurting. --I can't do the butterfly stretch (where you sit with the soles of your feet together and drop your knees off to the side) on the right hip. It's…

Stretching
I just started C25K this week (after a few start/stops the last several months), and one thing I notice is how tight my legs are afterwards. I usually stretch by sitting on the floor, legs apart and reaching for my feet, but are there any other stretches people do before/after training?

W9D3, no freakin' way!
I'm done! I graduated! I did it! I ran 3.5 miles in 40(with the walk time)! Quick recap. Wk 1. No way I can do this, followed by I hurt to much to do this. Wk 2. I don't hurt as much, I can do this. Wk 3. I can't do this, I'll repeat a day. Wk 4. I can do this, why did I repeat a day? Wk 5. Oops I went straight to day 2,…

Week 8 while on vacation in Denver ...
As the subject says, I'll be on week 8 and 9 while I'm in Denver next week. I'm from Minnesota; where the air is crisp and clean and the altitude is ... normal!? Anyone have any tips on running in unfamiliar high altitude? I'm a little worried I'll start out and need grandma's oxygen tank after 4 minutes! :noway:

How have you surprised yourself?
Last night I went for my W1D2 jaunt and as I was rounding the corner to come back down the street, I knew I was getting close to the end of my 90s walking interval. I mentally prepared myself to jog a bit more, but Constance crooned in my ear "It's time to cool down." I was surprised because I was sure I had at least one,…

Week 5!!
Hi all! I just finished W5D1 this evening and felt AWESOME! My pace feels like it was faster today than it was during W4, though I'm sure I'll slow back down again for D2 on saturday. d: Was lucky enough to get a relatively cool day after a torrential downpour all morning - half of my normal route was completely…

Running two days in a row
Is it better to run one morning and at night the next day or to take an extra day off and risk losing momentum?

My First 5K is done!
Well it's done. Ran my very first 5K last evening. I didn't do as well as I had hoped, but I finished, so that's the important part, right? Official time: 36:43 for a pace of 11:49/mile. I ended up walking for about 6 minutes total. I have theories of why, but it doesn't matter. Anyway...now I have a time to beat for next…

Frustrated with myself
This morning, for the first time, I did not complete the run I set out to do. It's bloody hot here and I let the little voice inside my head win. Not happy with myself at all... just needed to vent.

how soon should i be able to run without rest days?
I've been doing c25k for about 3 months now, but I'm only on week 5 (i've been doing it wrong all this time, haha). i know c25k says you should definitely take days off to rest, but i've been running for a while now and i really love it... i don't want to rest! would it be detrimental to run daily instead of taking the…

W5D3
I DID IT!!! Of course, I was going REALLY slow (3.5 mph pace approx.)......but still, I DID IT! Feels SO good. Now I'm taking the next 3 days off to recover (sort of forced into it due to vacation and the weekend)......then on Monday it's on to week 6! I feel like I'm on top of the world right now!

Redtango76's C25k Journey
After a lil inspiration from Virginiejaubin's progress thread . I decided it would be helpful for me and others to start my own. I started this plan yesterday with my week 1 day 1. I chose to run at the local high schools track for two reasons 1) it would make it easier for me to calculate distance and 2) astro turf saves…

5k fears
I'm starting to worry about my 5k. It's only a few weeks away! C25K is only getting harder. What if I can't pull this off? I'm afraid of running for that long in front of oodles of people. I'm super scared of not making my goal of 30 minutes. AHHH! Any advice?

W3D2 Epic Fail Injury...advice needed!
I was going fine through the first interval of W3, than an ache in my right calf started. Not a normal "Ahhh, muscle fatigue, must power through!" ache. An "owwwww" ache. Then, apparently, as my gait changed to favor my right leg, my left knee started with a sharp, sharp pain around the patella. I made it through the 3…

Slight pain in my left ankle...
So, I'm about to start week 5 the next time I can go out. I had planned on completing w5d1 two days ago but my left ankle started to swell a little bit the day before. The pain was very minimal. The swelling has gone down and I was going to run today but I thought I'd play it safe and stay home. I didn't feel any pain at…

Ran thirteen minutes straight, should I skip a week?
So I just had to do my run this morning to let off steam. I'm only on Week 4 of the program but I kept on thinking about what has been stressing me out lately that I didn't even pay attention to how far I was going without walking. By the time I realized it, I had gone over 13 minutes straight. Should I skip to Week 6?

So...when did you start to notice you were losing?
Hi, guys. I am on Week 3. I'm not very over weight, but at 5'1'' any exra weight adds on fast. I'm really hoping to trim up my tummy and am already noticing a change in my shape even though I've GAINED weight since starting to run! Anyway, just wondering how quickly you guys started to notice a difference in weight loss.…
