Transitioning between W3 and W4?
Did anyone else find the jump from week 3 to week 4 a little abrupt? Week 2 and week 3 workout all have a combined total of 9 minutes of running. The week 4 workouts have 16 minutes of running. Did anyone adjust the first workout in week 4 to be a little less demanding?

I just completed Day 1 :)
Anyone else just starting? I was going to jog around the lake where I live, but decided to opt for the treadmill instead. Feelin' pretty good!!!!

Need Workout Clothes?
So, when I first started c25k, I was running in whatever junky clothes I had around. That included cotton yoga pants and t-shirts. Well, it's gotten to be ridiculously hot and humid out and running in yoga pants was not cutting it. I found some shorts on clearance at Kohl's, but that was kind of a fluke. Yesterday, I found…

my own "hey fat girl" moment
First - if you don't know what I mean by "hey fat girl" and you think I'm being self-depricating or offensive - go read this blog: http://flintland.blogspot.com/2012/05/hey-fat-girl.html (Its made the rounds on MFP, but just in case...) Have been training the last 4 weeks on a treadmill and have been told a gazillion times…

My 10 min mile!
Some reason I thought W7D3 was too easy. So today I started week 8 with the goal of running faster. Thinking a 10 min mile by the end of the week would be awesome. So I start running today tracking the time to make sure I was faster than last time. At the 20 min mark I was at 2 miles and figured there was no way I'd keep…

W5D1
Powered through it, but not without much self-talk! People must have been wondering what the bright red sweaty lady was saying to herself this morning in the 33 degree weather.....

Decision to repeat week 3
After completing W4D1 on Monday and getting a horrendous headache and slight dizziness i have decided to go back to week 3 for today's run and Friday's run. While doing so I am really going to focus on making sure that I drink enough water throughout the day..............then I will try back at week 4 next week.

After C25K?
Is there another training app for after C25K? I don't want to make all this progress just to slide back. For those of you who have finished the program, did you keep up with running? What did you do to keep your progress going? What types of plans did you follow? I'm only about halfway through the program, but I've NEVER…

Just finished Week 5
I was a little apprehensive about the 20 minute run, but I did it! Probably the longest I've run at a single time since Thanksgiving. Forgot its a Saturday night, so I was dodging drunk bar patrons the entire way, but it just made the run more interesting. Looking forward to week 6!

have been doing this off and on,, and up to week 5/day1
got that far and decided to give myself some time to lose some more weight and do some strength training for my legs, so hopefully that will help with my endurance. Week 5 is intimidating to me being as I have never been a runner before. I will do it though, I have plans to do a 5k race in October!

Finished Week 1!
WooHoo! Last night was my third run on Couch to 5K and I am so proud of myself and my daughter! Considering how I was grafted to the couch when I started, I still don't see how there is any way I'm going to be actually running at the end of 10 weeks, but I'll just trust the program and go with it.

Training Help
Running friends--just realized that my training plan won't be finished before the actual 5k race. I've been doing couch to 5k but I signed up for my run at the end of June and it's at the end of August. Should I try to speed through the program, or get to where I get to and see what happens? I just finished week 3 and I…

Take that week 7!
Woohoo! W7D3 is done. And today I decided I was going to run for 3 laps(2.7 miles) even if it took longer than the 25 mins. So I made it and ran for an even 30 mins! Crazy!! So I guess now I just need to speed it up! Oh and with my warm up/cool down, I finally made 3.1 miles!

exercise induced asthma?
i have always thought I might have this. this morning i wanted to do the 2.25 mile jog again. About one mile in i had to stop because i felt like i couldn't breathe deep enough. i stopped for about 20 seconds, felt a little better and pushed on. but not too long after, i felt the same way again. i tried slowing down a…

Arrrggg what is it about the 6 week slump...need motivation
So I got hurt and had to stop a few weeks and that happened at the start of week 6. Well I took two weeks off and started back at week 5 and my motivation and endurance have gone down the crapper. I've only done D1 of Week 6 this week and it's now Friday. I have to work tonight and can't go during the day because I'm home…

W5D3
Well, after about a week off, for different reasons, I decided to go ahead and just get W5D3 done without repeating W5 again. I figured if I couldn't do the 20 min run, I would just do what I could and try again Thursday. Well, I did it....all of it......without stopping! YAY ME!! The new shoes are awesome and my leg…

C25K and Early Pregnancy
I'm just starting week 3 of the C25K and while I'm not pregnant yet, I'm hoping to be soon. Does anyone know about or have experience with the C25K program and pregnancy? I've always heard that you can continue your pre-pregnancy level of activity into pregnancy, but I'm not sure if that applies here since the C25K is…

How to log c25k as exercise?
I'm just starting out on the c25k program - my first run will be tonight!! I'm wondering how to log my runs in my exercise diary? As i won't be running for the whole 20 mins I don't want to over estimate my calories burned. I've persuaded my boyfriend to do the program with me with the promise of steak for dinner when we…

Moving forward...
I've finished week 1, but feel super exhausted after the end of each 60 second run. By the 7th interval I'm basically yelling at the voice in my headphone "F#*$ YOU! I'M GONNA DO IT YOU B!%^H, BUT I DON'T WANNA!" My "running" speed is about the same as my fastest walk speed....my jogging pace is usually 14:30-17:30,…

Bad day or in bad shape?
Today was W2 D3 for me. I sucked. There was a stitch in my side, ragged breathing, general clumsiness and plague. (Locusts and dead firstborn, for the curious.) Usually I drink a lot of water the night before C25K, have a slice of bread before bed (in case there's anything to all the "carboHYDRATE" comments in water…

The Wall
I seem to have hit a wall with my C25K program. I am stuck at week three. Im doing it for the second time, but the results get worse and worse each run. Anyone else with this problem?

Week 4!
Who else is on week 4? I did W4D2 today. My legs felt good, and I actually felt like I could keep going at the end, but the sun was beating down on me so I called it good. I was really nervous about this week, but so far am happy with how I've done!

Indoor or Outdoor
Do you run indoor or outdoor? Both? is one easier/harder than the other? I primarily run outdoors and let me tell ya....i know where every incline and decline is in my neighborhood! I may have to switch to treadmill once winter comes around and get a cheap gym membership. I don't want to run on snow/ice and ruin my shoes…

Calf Pain?
I started C25K way back in October and managed to get to the 20 minute run before I started having pretty intense calf soreness that would not go away no matter how much I stretched, iced, heated, compressed, elevated, ibuprofenated, and everything else I could think of. I thought it was a strain so I decided to take some…

Hello!
Hi, everyone! I'm new to the group; I'm starting my third week of Couch to 5k tomorrow. So far, it's been going pretty well. Swimming was always my sport so running has never been my forte. However, I decided to sign up for a 5k that's taking place in August as a "kick it into gear" approach. Any running tips are welcome!…

A surprise...and flying higher than a kite!
Today I ran for 30 minutes straight. yeay me!! :) I've been floating on that cloud a bit today and didn't even think about what the distance was. I figured it was around 2.75 or less miles. I decided to map it on walkjogrun.com and found out that I did actually run a full THREE (Yes that's 3) MILES this morning! In 30…

W6R1 - Oh Boy!
I did Week 6 Run 1 today. I thought after the last one I would sail through this one but I found it more difficult than I thought I would. Normally I struggle with the mental side of things more than the physical but today I really felt it in my legs. I did notice that my breathing was much easier through so I think my…

Week 3 Day 1
So just did my week 3 day 1 workout; OUCH! If running for 3 minutes straight is hard, I'm scared for the actual 5k race. Really looking forward to seeing the progress I make with C25K!

FINALLY! W2D1
After bouncing around in week one for the longest time (due to injury, illness, family visit, and breathing issues), I FINALLY completed W2D1 today. I was able to run all of the intervals except the middle one- I quit 10 seconds early (partly because of the dog yanking on me). I AM SO HAPPY!!!!
