New Here with Questions
I've been on MFP for a week, following what the website recommends and have lost 5lbs. Im now 258 lbs. I've also been doing a lot of reading here and many people have different ways of losing weight. I came across a thread that brought me here. I went to Scooby's website to calculate the tdee and this is what I got: BMR:…

I just wanted to share this, because it meant so much to me when it happend this morning. My husband is very supportive and has always complimented me. One thing he stresses to me is that he loves me no matter what. I have been doing EM2LW since September and the reset was a very hard thing for me. I have been doing…

**SIX PACK NUTRITION SHACK EATERS**
I thought I would post in here after Kiki's post in the NewsFeed yesterday. (If you didn't see it check out her page). So what is the final verdict? Do we think the nutrition facts given on the labels are close to accurate? I have 24 of them sitting in my freezer right now and am wondering what to do. Thanks

I cannot believe it....
I've been doing EM2WL since May. I've gained about 12 lbs - I'm currently 142 lbs. I have struggled with going back to VLCD but I am keeping the faith and continuing on. I was going through my closet last night trying to find something to wear today. I pulled out a skirt that I wore back in 2007 when I was 130 lbs. It's a…

Trying to stay the course
I know that this has been posted too many times to count, but I am getting very discouraged. I am doing a TDEE break. And I have gained almost all of my weight back! I had lost 20 lbs when I found this group (and I'm still VERY thankful I did), and now I've gained 18lbs back! I'm lifting 3 days/week and always…

For anyone questioning why they are doing this...
...there is literally no other option. When I'm feeling fat, bloated, unsure, whatever, I tell myself this: THERE.IS.NO.OTHER.OPTION. Why? When I was restricting my calories, (or trying to), I was not successful. When I am hungry, I am miserable. I cannot have a social life and eat 1200 calories a day. I cannot exercise…

Time, patience, and trust the process
As many may know I'm journaling what was supposed to be my 1st bulk and 2nd round of sts but I hit a bump in the road with my thyroid. So the journal has been on that process and the frustrating changes. I wanted to share every aspect of the journey because we like to keep it real. We all have our struggles and we are…

This works!!
I still weigh daily - I'm trying to get into doing it every other day, and hopefully I'll get down to just the one day a week. But, it does keep me in tune to my body and I have come to learn how certain foods/nutrients etc. affect me (I can be quite sensitive to excess sodium (>3500). Anyway, this morning I got on my…

faulty BMF or not pushing hard enough?
Hi Guys, For those of you with a BMF, just wondering how you find your METS and burns for strength training? I have started STS 2 weeks ago, and it says what the expected METS are for certain workouts, normally around 6. Now i know that calorie burns are quite low for Strength training and although coming from a running &…

Upping Calories slowly?
I've been eating really low for a while. I started out eating 800-900, then upped to 1000 about a month and a half ago. Then it was 1100, and then 1200, and now I'm aiming for 1300. Ideally I'd like to be around 1400-1600. Do you think I should increase calories slowly, or all at once? I realize now that it's more…

Fitbit or BMF or HRM? Opinions please!
I have been looking at getting some kind of device to track calories burned etc. I run 3 times per week and do Jillian Michaels DVDs right now. I cannot decide which device would be best. Any input on any of these would be greatly appreciated. They are all so expensive I want to make the right choice!

I started EM2WL exactly 6 weeks ago. The first week I lost 1.5 lbs and the following two weeks I gained a couple of pounds. After that, I remained the same for 2 weeks and now this week I had a 2 lb gain. Should I give it more time at the current calculations or should I tweak?

Advice on getting started lifting

When do I up my calories?
I have an office job where I am at my desk the majority of the day. When I first started on MFP I considered myself sedentary but now I work out about 5-6 days a week at least 90 minutes each of those days. I reached a plateau last month and changed to lightly active because I was always hungry. Now I put it back down to…

Gradually working my way up to the cals that NROLW wants me to be at…

Hi everyone :) I found this group a few days ago and everything it stands for just seemed to click for me. I however, despite trying to…
