  • Sometimes I just want to eat. I want to chew and I think I am hungry. Here is one fix I use. I saute a large pan of diced celery in soy sauce. I may add onions.   • I heat up Crystal Light and drink it as if it were coffee. it fills me up and I like the lemon taste. I really like it in the evening when I want to eat and shouldn't.

  • I don't know about that but I have a smart phone and I have MFP loaded on it. I can add calories and exercise while I am away from home and it stores and syncs the information with MFP at home on my computer. I phone must have that too. I read about my app on this site, somewhere. Hope this helps.

  • You can go into "starvation" mode so eat at least some of your exercise calories. There is an old diet, one of the many I have used, called the rotation diet.   • Yes, I have an elliptical and it is the same. I looked on-line and even asked the calorie count question on google. I do think myfitness pal over counts. I don't know what to do so I adjust my time so the calories match my machine - which I think is too low. Between the two measurements, I prefer low so I do not overeat.

  • Biking or biking motion on the elliptical work for me. These movements seem to strengthen the muscles that run on each side of my knees. I feel stronger and have less pain when I do these exercies regularly.
