  • i have found liquid stevia works great and then some fruit and granola. Yum Yum!!! :)
  • Ok, my two cents worth on this topic. Everyone's body reacts differently to food, water intake, exercise, fasting, sleep etc. I don't have any hard fast scientific studies on this but I was 175 pounds for the longest time. Quite happy with my weight. Not too chubby not skinny. Just curves. Since my divorce I have lost way…
  • I have no advice or suggestions on how to make such a life altering decision for your family and both of these boys. I do, however, commend you on wanting to adopt an older child. I wish you all the best in your decision and my only thought is to follow your heart. Charlene
  • Something simple but actually helps. Try upping your exercise to burn an extra 50 cals per workout and drink tonnes of water. Everyone is different but if you can drink eight glasses of water at a minimum per day (not including coffee, tea or other beverages) it should help. Good luck! Char
  • I am in Calgary!!!! :) Whoot Whoot!
  • I have had the same thing happen when I first started running. Have you tried insoles in your shoes? The other thing to try is the athletic tape (that sticks to itself and bendy) wrapping it just below your knee. You can also have someone watch you run to see if you are running flat footed or heel to toe. :)
  • I would just say something. Just think it through carefully. The poster that commented on saying " wow your really skinny" is like a medal of honor and she will probably want to lose more. How very true. Obviously you are concerned about this person so just step up and say something. You are going to be damned if you do…
  • People that bite their forks when they are eating. That horrible "TING" noise. ARGH
  • The bile one made me dry heave LOL So gross. I couldn't do any of these. I gag when I brush my teeth!
  • Hey! I absolutely love the biggest loser. It is by far my all tme favorite show. I find it motivating, inspirational and very melodramtic! I agree with everything you all said. They have unrealistic goals with exercise and weightloss. Every season, the contestants get bigger and bigger. The reason that I do love it as much…
  • I took this horrible drug years ago and all it did was make me sick, gain weight and force me to have a hysterectomy at 32 years old! I hope no one else has gone through that part. I only got the shot once but it shook up my body so badly and I was a mess. It took about a year from the time of the first shot for me to see…
  • I'm doing Atkins (extreme low carb) and for the first week or two, you feel like crap. No energy, so very tired and completely unmotivated. It explains in the book that when you cut out carbs (sugar, refined flour, refined foods) that your body actually has to adjust to a different way of metabolizing and burning…
  • that is so sweet!
  • Just a suggestion, to eat back some calories and get something in your system post workout for recovery what about a spoonfull of peanut butter. Gives you some protein and fat without filling you up.
  • CHEESE. I can't live without cheese.
  • I had heard that you should only consume one or two teaspoons of salt a day. Which seems very little when you compare that two sugar in coffee.
  • OMG ! This exact thing happened to me when started an extremely low carb diet. Maybe try upping your carbs a bit and taking supplement instead. I still haven't got the sweating thing under control but its not stinky anymore. Maybe someone else can clarify but I find if I eat a lot of red meat and work out - i'm…

  • In western Canada (Alberta) its always a fight over ginch, gotch, or gunch. You know, tighty whities? LOL Don't get your gitch in a knot! LOL Oh and soakers vs. booters when you get your sneakers wet in a puddle.
  • For me, I had to have no more than 25g of carbs per day to reach ketosis and drink so much water I thought I was going to float away. Are you using the strips? I was doing Atkins though, I am not familiar with Lindora.
  • Are you losing inches? How long have you been working out and eating right for?
  • I don't want to tell you how you should diet. You will know what works and doesn't work for you. Some people have gotten great success and met their goal on the shakes - I am not one of those people. I like food! :) First I would ask if you are wanting to eat or are you hungry? Second, if you add a fibre powder to your…
  • I have it too. Butt and thighs. I have found it has decreased with muscle definition and weight loss so keep your chin up, it will go away for the most part and you are the only one that will notice it. Oh, you can also mask it will a tan in the mean time :) My motto with cellulite is that God put it in the back so I can't…
  • I got down to just under 160 and was told I was to thin. I am 5ft 7.5" and I was wearing a size 4-6. I have a larger frame and I am muscular. Don't forget, muscles weigh more than fat so be careful with how much you lose. I know that weight loss can be addictive along with over exercising. :)
  • When I run, I imagine myself to be the most amazing runner of all time. I let my imagination take me in the weirdest places - running in the mountains, desert, races a different city...... its the only way I can keep it interesting. I listen to my ipod and go. I mouth the words, or maybe sing. I don't worry about what…
  • OMG I love those things. I know they aren't "good" for you but were they good? I am living vicariously through you right now. *drool* LOL :blushing:
  • Hey everyone, just wanted to let y'all know I saw it last night. Waited two hours on the floor of the theatre and then they took pity on us and let us sit in the theatre for the last hour of the wait. It was 10,000 times better than twilight (less corny)! There were a couple of scene's that were a bit - silly and some that…
  • Ok, so I'm 37 and not embarrased at all to say that I bought advance tickets to the first show on the 19th! I am so glad I will have my daughter in tow so I don't feel weird. :glasses: I started reading the books about two weeks ago and I'm hooked. I am on the last one and I want to get it done before the movie on Thursday…
  • I am the exact same way with beef. I think its all of the crap they feed those poor cows which in turn we eat. If you love it, (and can afford it) maybe try free-range beef products or organic beef. It could be all the hormones, feed and other stimulants that are affecting your digestive system.
  • Merci! :)
  • I love that! Soooo true!
