I'm a little under 5' 2". My goal weight is 115. I've been down as low as 109, but I didn't think I looked very good. I'd say my maintenance range would be 114-118.

Do you have a weighted hula hoop or just one of the ones made for kids? I was never able to keep one up either, but now I have a weighted hoop that's also wider than a kid's hoop. The weight and larger diameter make it easier to keep up, but you work harder because the hoop is weighted.

I agree with marycatherine. Sardines are much more nutritious than whey protein, though they may be high in sodium. I think whey protein is a convenient way to add a protein boost to smoothies, because many people just don't want to eat a tin of sardines. ;) However, if you like the sardines, go for it.

I'm no expert, but I think you'd get better results if you could reduce or cut out the sweets. Ha! So true. That's part of the reason I do the military press. I want to be able to lift my suitcase above my head to put it in the overhead compartment. Mostly though, it's packing light. My exercises of choice lately are split squats and bulgarian split squats. They are a way to work all those little stabilizing muscles that keep you upright, they work the legs separately, and ...they require less weight to get a workout. (i.e. no hoisting a barbell over my head at home - I just need dumbbells).

I'm on Celexa right now and it seems to be working pretty well. I didn't notice any weight gain side effects. I did notice that I wasn't in the "mood" as much and it was much more difficult for me to get, ummm, satisfaction. :blushing: But those side effects went away after I was taking it a couple of months.
