Almond milk is good if you have to watch carbs. I started using the unsweetened vanilla flavor when I had gestational diabetes and would drink a glass each day for breakfast. I think it actually tastes really good. I don't buy it much any more because it is expensive, but I'm not a big milk drinker anyway.

When I was diabetic (gestational) the highest amount of carbohydrates that my body could handle was about 30 g at breakfast and 45 g at meals. Any more than that and my blood sugar would be above the normal levels. I followed the diet, felt great, didn't gain excessive weight during pregnancy and lost it easily afterwards.…

I used to be a big fan of Splenda; I started using a lot it when I had gestational diabetes with my first 2 pregnancies and just continued after that. I eventually developed some annoying physical symptoms - joint aches, frequent headaches, tingling fingers and lips. I was afraid that I had MS or something. I had read…

For a couple months it was fine. When I noticed that I was starting to be hungry and irritable all the time I increased my calories (to 0.5 lb/week loss) and continued to lose without a problem. Also, remember that if you are set to lose 1-2 pounds/week, you can go over by a few hundred when you need to and you will still…

I really would just like to have a waist! I think my babies may have ruined that possibility, lol. My waist now is 27.5 and hips are 33. Sigh.

I am the opposite. Usually I tend to be hot, recently I am sometimes actually cold.

What is kipping?

If you take out the fat, it will no longer be "natural".

The unsweetened vanilla is great. I think it tastes like butter pecan ice cream. I can only imagine what the sweet one would taste like! I didn't think the chocolate one was very good, though.

My mexican-food seasoning has turmeric in it, so I have been putting it basically on everything.

I am the same height/weight as you. It is hard to switch from "diet mode" to "real life". Not so much because of your food choices...it should be second nature by now. But personally I have gotten so used to the desire and satisfaction of losing. It is hard to give that up. But essentially all you have to do is set your…

I am very fortunate to live close to a community center that has childcare available. I take exercise classes and use the weight/cardio room while the kids play. Otherwise, I don't know what I would do!

Chipotle. I know it is everyone's favorite (and not necessarily bad for you either) but I have never had anything from there that I really thought was good. I love Mexican food otherwise. Co-workers are always ordering out from Chipotle so I guess it is good that it is so easy for me to turn down.

I use the MFP numbers or whatever the cardio machine says - usually they are very close. Sometimes I will put in fewer minutes if the exercise wasn't as intense as usual (for example, a yoga class that is more restorative then active). I always eat most or all the exercise calories back and have had great results.

Before kids I was 36C, after kids a 36D. Now I am 34 B/C. I'm ok with this. The changes from pregnancy/bf'ing were pretty drastic so I think they actually look better smaller.

Yep! The giant ones are usually pretty awesome.

Wasa crispbreads, with laughing cow cheese or cream cheese on top. Then with cucumber and tomatoes, or strawberries, or jam, or bacon on top of that.

Interesting. What the heck is a monk fruit?

Meat and beer! :D

I think she just meant the fruit will kill your carb count! Anyway. Have an egg or two with your breakfast if you like eggs. Or bacon! Twice as many almonds for snack. More meat at dinner. Full fat plain greek yogurt is pretty awesome with fruit or coconut on top. There are lots of little options you can add in without…

Less stress and enough sleep. The other things mentioned don't hurt either :)

I just made one a couple days ago that I really liked. 3 lb roast chopped onion 6 oz tomato paste 1 cup leftover brewed coffee 1 chopped tomato 2 bay leaves a little bit of water Cooked on low for about 8 hours I mixed about 1 cup of sour cream into the juices after it was done. It tasted similar to beef stroganoff, just…

Oops.....fixed it.

I log it if it is relatively easy to log and is significant. If I eat one piece of Kix cereal.....probably not logging that. :)

I hear ya. My height/weight is similar to yours and I know how you feel!
-
I am set at 0.5 lb/week. Generally I have been losing more, around 1 lb/week.

"My Meals" would work well for this, too. Then if you change up your quantity (of, say, peanut butter) you can edit it more easily - a simple change on your diary rather than having to edit the recipe.

thanks!

I recently noticed that I have freckles on my butt. Never really looked before. For some reason, that makes me happy.
