I also got an acceptance email this morning! This will be my first time running the Broad Street Run and my first 10 mile race. So excited!

I thought the same thing when I watched this show. I have PCOS and while it makes weight gain easier and weight loss harder, she should not be using this as an excuse for gaining or not losing. At my heaviest I weighed 175 and now weigh just under 145. I run 20-25 miles a week and am in great shape and very healthy. While…

Only logged 420 miles for 2014, but that was all in the second half of the year (started logging running miles in June and running seriously then). I also ran my first 10K in 2014. My goals this year are to run 900 miles with a reach goal of 1000 miles and to run my first half marathon.

Hi, I am Rae and I am a runner also. I am currently training for a 8K in March and am also running a 5K in February. I ran my first 10K in October and plan to run my first half marathon this year.

I used sun in when I was in middle school and high school since I was not allowed to dye my hair. I look at old pictures and laugh now.

Please send me an invite, I would like to join this group. I attend meetings online a few times a week and am working on my first three steps.

One of my favorite scenes. I have been a fan of Family Guy since the beginning. My favorite episode is probably Brian Sings and Swings, with Frank Sinatra Jr. Also a big fan of the episodes that center more on Brian and Stewie. They are hilarious together, so glad that they brought Brian back.

I have made these before and they remind me more of banana bread than a cookie. I did like them though and now am thinking of making these tonight. I have made them plain and I have made them with chocolate chips added into the cookies.

I also like pinterest for recipe ideas (in my case gluten free and healthy since I am gluten intolerant) and I follow a number of recipe blogs.

Not a big fan of most gluten free breads, but I do like Udi's bread and hamburger buns. I usually get the whole grain ones they make. It's best toasted prior to making your sandwich. I tried a few other brands, but I did not like them at all. Can be expensive, so I don't eat bread very often these days.

Huge fan of Nutella, but everyone is different. I rarely buy it and don't eat it often since it's too easy for me to go overboard on Nutella.

Just started training indoors and am on my second week of training. My fitness goal for the year is to complete a half triathlon by the end of the year. It's exciting, but challenging for me. Especially the swimming which I need to start working on as well as learning to run after biking. Working on the biking and running…

Very close, I am 29.

I am not big on cottage cheese in general, due to the texture. However, I love this oatmeal pancake recipe that happens to use cottage cheese to make the pancakes high in protein. http://www.biggest-loser-recipes.com/oatmeal-pancakes.html I use whole eggs in place of the egg whites and stevia or splenda in place of the…

Sounds delicious and easy to make. I need to try this one.

I cook chicken almost everyday and I usually do boneless chicken thighs (I like the flavor of them and they are inexpensive). Here are some ways I make my chicken that my husband and I enjoy: * Barbecue chicken (having this tonight). I just use bottled sauce and cook my chicken seasoned with black pepper in a small amount…

My goal range I like to keep within is 140-145. For my height and build, I look and feel like crap when I am under 140. I give myself a 5 lb cushion. I also pay attention to how my clothes are fitting. Currently slightly over that, so I am in losing mode again.

Love them, especially portabella and baby bella mushrooms. Great mixed in rice dishes, pasta, sauteed in butter or olive oil and then put with chicken, on pizza, etc. I also like mushrooms paired with peas or green beans for a great veggie side dish. Here is a recipe for a great rice side dish I make sometimes (also works…

I understand completely about commercials triggering cravings. I generally ignore commercials now when watching TV and do other things during commercial breaks to distract me. I still binge now and then, but they are smaller binges now and much less frequent. My binges generally come from stress/anxiety and trying to get…

Going to try the gluten free version one day soon, that looks really good!

I am the same way. I have a cabinet filled with spices, herbs, and seasonings at home. Some favorites are garlic, basil (especially fresh basil), chili powder, Mrs. Dash extra spicy, and cracked black pepper. For sweets I love pure vanilla extract and cinnamon. I am also a big fan of salsa, hot sauce, honey mustard, and…

I am gluten intolerant, so I definately want to try this recipe with the buckwheat flour. Now I need to get some buckwheat flour. Would be great for sandwiches and pizza.

This is very exciting and a step in the right direction!

Sloppy joes, BBQ beef (ground beef mixed with some BBQ sauce, so good), spaghetti with meat sauce or meatballs, chili, burgers, meatloaf, etc. One of my favorites is to cook ground beef and mix it with a box of macaroni and cheese of your choosing (the kraft blue box type of box works well), a small amount of milk for the…

These sound awesome as a part of a good, make ahead weekday breakfast.

For me, limiting refined carbs and sticking with mostly whole grains, vegetables, fruit, and other such complex carbs helped me out. I also am very careful to stay under the carb limit each day. I also do not have insulin resistance, but do have PCOS. At this point I am very well managed with Ocella (generic form of Yaz…

That sounds awesome and easy, I need to try this one!

I am addicted to coffee and chocolate (I have both of these pretty much everyday these days) and hate mayonnaise and cottage cheese!

I have been gluten free for just over two months. Gluten was giving me rashes and various digestive issues. I track consistently and don't buy a lot of specially made gluten free alternatives (most of them are expensive and I am on a budget). Feel free to add me.
