If you are finished having children or decided you won't be having any... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Endometrial_ablation I had iron deficiency anemia for 20 years and now my iron is high.

1. To a point. The brain considers certain levels of muscle mass expendable in times of famine, but not all of the muscle mass that it takes for survival and a minimal level of motility and function. 2. Usually when a person realizes, 1. above has already occurred about as far as it is going to go at the current intake…

Laura, it sounds like you are doing pretty awesome to me. I sometimes use the press or extension machines, but that's mainly only because I'm not yet cleared to do all of the stuff you are doing.

Oh, like a foam roller? Just about any sporting goods store should have them for around $20. I use them at the gym to try and get knots out of IT bands. It hurts, lol.

Yep, I'm real bad with this and I drink tons of water and usually don't get crazy with salt. Abs are the least pleasant/attractive...

I train my core muscles because I rather like the idea of being able to hold my back up and all my guts inside when I lift up things.

I ate vegan for three months once. It was about ten years ago. I lost over 20 lbs but felt terrible, so I added back seafood.

Good luck, oh and stay hydrated while you walk too. Congrats on upping your fitness level that much in 6 weeks!

Is it a cramp, like a charlie horse? I would stretch a lot, and also try to keep your sodium intake lower and potassium higher.

ELee, I am so sorry for your loss. You have turned it around into an amazing and life-affirming thing. I am amazed at how you have turned it into a way to inspire others. Your partner lives on each time you encourage someone else to make a better choice for their health. Congratulations on your success!

Right now I really just want to do a pull up.

I thought this topic was going to be about the spray bottle for olive oil. :)

You are toward the lower end of healthy weight range, and your calorie needs to maintain are around 2000 a day. I think you can probably relax a little.

He beat the crap out of me quite a few times. There was a lot of blood and pain... and then he didn't call for 28 days.

Thanks for the help everyone! I watched the vid, and c2sky I'm going to copy and paste what you said to my trainer. Definitely not interested in introducing any new biomechanical problems. :) I'm already 40 and had my share since I started training 2.5 months ago, lol. Getting the butt back is not really a problem, but I…

I haven't had it taken since last December. It was 116/60.

See your doctor of course, but I have noticed a direct correlation to my fat intake personally. If I get enough fats, all is good. If I fall too far from my fat goal, all madness ensues. Stress, mood, excema, it's all bad.

I guess I just find it inappropriate in the situation for the professional to make it about her habits and her kids. Isn't she being paid to talk to others about whether THEIR nutritional choices are healthy? She's the one who brought up her own, is it all about her much?

It is rough, especially if you try to avoid processed faux meats. I am pescatarian so I enjoy the seafood option as well, but I try not to go there all the time either. Lately I threw up my hands and have been on a faux meat bender. Getting plenty of protein, but not sure if I am feeling too great. Tomorrow I may try…

Could you just be bloated, for any reason? Hormones/salt/dehydration, or you worked your muscles so hard they are swollen and pushing some fat out? (That one happens to me every couple days.) Or meds, or a food sensitivity, or anything else that causes bloating.

I tried to do yoga right after weights on Saturday, that did not go too well. :) I think I will try this schedule for a couple weeks and see how it goes: Monday weights Tuesday yoga Wednesday rest Thursday weights Friday rest Saturday weights Sunday rest I also either bike or walk at least two miles on weekdays. On rest…

And make plain steamed vegetables and load up half your plate with that first.

Check out nerdfitness.com There are a lot of videos of strength exercises that can be done using your own body weight and sometimes with commonly available props such as tables, chairs.

:D That is awesome. I kind of feel out of place at the gym sometimes, especially the weight benches when there is a bunch of strong dudes there.
-
That sounds like a most excellent choice. Watch out for sauces and free bread. And enjoy!

Actually, it's not all vegetarian. http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/musclemeds/carnivor.html

I got that way with prawns earlier this week.

I don't think anyone said this yet, how about some fat? It's higher in calories than carbs and protein, but is a necessary macronutrient. I find it to be a great stabilizer of hunger response as well as mood.

Exhale on the exertion, inhale on the return.
