Typically, I am a simplest...quarter those babies lengthwise, forming spears, spray lightly with oil, sprinkle with salt and pepper, and throw on the grill until they have the pretty char marks that scientists now say will give us cancer. A recent (and only slightly more complicated) alteration...since we can only get to…

I think I lost about 19 pounds in my first month, so this isn't way out of line. You have to remember that the first week of any new "diet" is going to be a bigger than normal loss...water weight and solids from the colon that aren't replaced the way they had been in the past. Be prepared, the weight loss should slow down…

Well, I can sure as H*** tell you I didn't do this with a magic body wrap!

O, no. I was really sleepy when I replied last night...sorry. Once I am finished losing weight, I will be weaned off both medications. My calories will also be increased until I figure out where maintenance is. I don't know the ins and outs completely yet...as I have another 40-50 pounds that I really want to lose (50…

July 3rd will make 12 months for me. I have had tremendous success and have discussed the risks with my doctor. He informed me that the latest research, which treats the obesity medicines as disease medications (just as you would with cholesterol or blood pressure problems), has shown that while the phentermine may become…

Did they come out with a new video set then? Obviously then, I have the old one.

Sorry if this was already said, (didn't go through the last several pages) but in the U.S., prepackaged foods are allowed to be up to 20% off in caloric estimations (either over or under...guess which one they do more). Does it upset me that this is allowed...heck yes, but all we can do is estimate, so decide what sounds…

No, it is true. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my BMF, but after wearing it for almost 1 year, my left arm looks different than my right. Really, to me, my left arm looks a little more muscley than the right. The difference may be body composition, adipose tissue...but that is just a hunch. That being said, I would NOT be…

Could try a piece of fruit, slimfast shake, PB&J sandwich, or Graham crackers. Though I usually don't do breakfast. There is conflicting information out, so take it with a grain of salt, but I have been reading that mini-meals/skipping meals...doesn't make a difference with weightloss and metabolism. I haven't noticed any…

You don't have much to lose to be in the healthy range as I am 5'4" and my goal is about 150. I would be leery of taking phentermine at that weight in the first place. I think I would want to hear from another doctor to be on the safe side. Generally, good doctors only prescribe phentermine for seriously overweight…

I haven't followed the calendar religiously...I like to switch between them, and a couple other things, depending on how I feel. If I give TF my all, it is about the same calorie burn as a run outside. But running outside hasn't happened much lately with the weather and short sunlight hours. If you do both at the same…

DOMS maybe? Did you do anything out of the ordinary? I am thinking that maybe, if you are new to exercise, you needed some rest between days until you build your muscles/tolerances up a bit. I am not sure that you are describing the same kind of soreness I get if I workout really hard on something new, but when that…

Hi Candiie. I have to agree with TexasChick43 that 700 calories is probably too low. From what I have read from others, and from my discussions with my doctor, most people who are taking phentermine should be eating at least 1200 calories per day. I have been on them since July 3rd and, until about Thanksgiving when I…

If the coffee was out of the norm, that sounds like a plausible cause to me. I would still report to the doctor immediately if it keeps happening.

I have a fantastic husband. We have been together since he was 15 and I was 17. He loved me then, at about 160 pounds, and he has, to my amazement, loved me when I was nearly 300 pounds. He tells me that he likes me when I am at a lower weight only because my self-esteem is so much better...in other words, he is more…

I haven't had this happen either. How long have you been on phentermine? I would have run straight to the doctor too. The only side-effects I ever had was the dry-mouth and extra energy, but those only lasted for a couple of weeks. Keep us posted!

Welcome! I hope that all is going well for you. I was on phen back in 2007, but my head was not really in it and I was on an antidepressant that pretty effectively countered the phen...in other words, I don't know for sure how my cravings will be when I stop the phentermine and I understand your fear...I have it too! What…

I think I would already be exhausted!

You are 18...no worries. I would be VERY surprised if your skin doesn't tighten up nicely. A few tips I've picked up (and need to be more vigilant about a few) drink lots of water to keep your whole body, including your skin, hydrated; eat lots of protein to help keep your muscles toned...this at least helps with an…

1. If this is a true depression (check the symptoms on webmd or wikipedia), it might be a good idea, if you can to seek some counseling. I saw a holistic therapist and she did a world of good for me. And I didn't believe in all that stuff either...just finally had enough and decided to try it anyway. If finances are a…

Trump did think about running in this presidential election, but he announced in May 2011 that he was not running. He has been very vocal in the "birther" argument...that being that he believes that President Obama was not born in the United States. Interestingly, this might help with your paper...whether or not President…

I find that the phentermine takes the edge off my appetite. A lot of why we eat too much, though, is mental and emotional. If I am not careful, I could easily allow myself to eat just to be eating. Of course, that would pretty much make the phentermine pointless. Here's one thought...if you are on an antidepressant, many…

I would never eliminate a food group. I do try to eat enough protein and fats, which automatically lowers the amount of carbs I might eat, but I wouldn't eliminate a food group...there are there for a reason. I just reduce my overall calorie intake...working very well for me.

That is a good question for your dr, who no doubt knows you better than we do. That said, it is generally recommended to not go below 1200 calories per day. My understanding is that it is difficult to obtain the micronutrients (vitamins, minerals, etc) on less than that. My dr put me on 1200 calories per day. I am always…

O my gosh, it is SO worth it. I am down 65 pounds so far...about half way to my first goal, and I feel SO much better now. I checked your profile, and your kids are 6 and 8? They don't know what to think yet. This will sound odd, but it made me think of when I started exercising in 2003 after a long time of no regular…

ENELL! I was a 46DDD and have gotten down to a 40D. I am also a runner and do kickboxing, etc. The only good solution I have found for the girls is Enell. Warning, these bras are UGLY and $50+ (US), but the girls do not move...at all. Great investment. And mine has held up for about 5 years, believe it or not (of course, I…

They will probably shrink some as you lose more. In the meantime, the best sports bra I have found (and at 228 pounds I am a runner and started out running at 270+ pounds) is Enell. They are ugly as sin, but they hold the girls in place so there is no worry of black eyes! It works much better for me than the double sports…

My guess is that you lost a lot of muscle mass when you were eating such a low calorie diet and that drastically reduced your metabolism. I think that if it was me, I would eat at least at 1200 calories per day to make sure that you are getting enough vitamins and minerals and probably higher than that, depending on where…
