Low sodium cottage cheese?
So I love cottage cheese and I usually buy the brand Darigold, their fat free kind. It has 17% sodium (410 mg) and to me that's quite high. Anyone know of others that are fat free but less sodium? Thanks.

Half Marathon Carb Loading
I used an endurance calculator found online and it said to run at my target pace for my half I need to carb load pre-race 2295 (574 g) calories. It states to carb load 12-36 hours before. My question/clarification is: the carb load guideline is for each day prior, right? Or is it saying that I should intake 574 g of carbs…

Raw vs Baked Potato
I received some baked potatoes from a co-worker and I wanted to know if potatoes weigh more once baked. I have a scale to weigh them so I know how much they weigh baked. I just didn't know if the potato information I found to input from the database was cooked weight. Any insights would be great. Thank you.

Candy bar opinions
I decided to give up candy bars for Lent. I tend to snack on m&m's, reese's, etc and I want to get that under control. Now my question is would you consider Lindt (or any brand) dark chocolate squares as candy?? I always eat a certain amount (ie 2 squares) and don't "binge" on it because I only buy like 80% or higher...not…

Goal Setting
I've been on MFP for almost two years. Within that first year and half I lost almost 20 lbs and felt good about myself. In May I got put on an antidepressant and ended up gaining about 25lbs back. Overall I'm still 10lbs down from where I was in high school and in a lot better shape then I was when I did weigh that amount…

At home yoga workouts
I'm thinking about adding a yoga workout to my exercise routine and wondered what suggestions people had for a beginner yoga DVD. I'm hoping to help my flexibility and muscle balance as well as the relaxation yoga can bring. I've seen videos by Jillian Michaels and a yoga cardio at the store. Has anyone tried those?…

Indulge or don't induge
My birthday is on the 17th (yay!) and I saw that a local Japanese resturant is now offer Chef sandwiches. They have a seared yellowfin tuna, kobe beef and a pecan crusted chicken. I LOVE Kobe beef. It's so tender and delicious. This is a half pound burger here. I emailed the company that they use to get the beef to get the…

Runners: Shin Splints
I've been seriously running for the past year and half. I have fitted shoes and orthotics. Recently I've been getting horrible shin splints about a mile and a half into my running. The other day they were so bad I was almost crying. What's weird is that the pain in my shin almost seems worse when I slow down to walk. With…

Healthy Hamburger Buns?
What are some people's suggestions for a healthy hamburger bun?? I'd like one relative in calories (>150) and low in sodium (>200 if possible). The only brand I can think of is Sara Lee's 80 calorie buns. I'm in charge of buns for a family party on Sunday and so I'm trying to keep it healthy for me but still tasty for…

I have a problem...I'm a peanut butter addict. hahaha When I plan to have it I pal a Tablespoon...put that tablespoon on whatever but then usually put my knife it for one or two more little scoops...or like last night probably 2 other tablespoons full. It just tastes so good and is creamy and yummy and I love it. Hey at…

For some reason I can't stop....
Snacking is a hard thing for me. If it's in front of me, I eat it. If it's opened in the pantry (crackers, pita chips, etc) I open it up and grab a couple. Lately it's been peanut butter. I just dig my knife in and eat bite after bite. Probably consuming 2 servings at least. There's no reason I do it, I just do. I'm the…

Freezing Bananas?
I've read of people freezing ripe bananas to use at a later date to make banana bread and what not. Has anyone done this? Do you freeze them still in the peel and then just let thaw so you can mash them when ready to use? I have some bananas that'll be ripe this weekend and don't have the time I thought I would to make…

Running Headphones
So I have just been using the cheapo ear buds you can get in the checkout line at the store for my headphones (I tend to lose/break them easily so I just buy cheap ones so it's not as bad of a replacement). I have found though that they don't stay in my ears well while running. And since running is my main form of cardio…

Having a recipe be an ingredient in another recipe.
So I made a meatloaf and put that recipe in the recipe section here. Is there a way to add the number of servings of my meatloaf recipe to the recipe for the soup? Or will I just…

Snack ideas for dairy ALLERGY
I'm trying to get ideas for my husband for snacks at work and what not. Also he's allergic to nuts and peanuts. Does anyone have any…

Lighter Bake in recipes
I came across this by accident when at the store. I just wondered if anyone has used this and how their items turned out as opposed to when they used the butter or oil that was called for in the recipe. I already use natural applesauce when a recipe calls for more than a tablespoon of oil so I would be using this to…
