Running every day?
I've discovered my love of running and wanted to know if it's ok to run six days out of seven? The C25K program I have warns you if you do it two days in a row that it's bad but I do enjoy it. Thoughts?

Funny experiemce at the gym
Thanfully I can laugh about it, but was gobsmacked at the time! Not a huge fan of my new gym (Anytime is really dependent on the franchise) It's tiny and mainly men who go. It's very intimidating but I go anyways. One closer is opening up in July so can't wait. I went Sat night about eight. About ten people there. Jump on…

Pain in knee when squatting past parallel
I was doing the front squash/push press when going to the gym last night. The first time I did this move I went past parallel. Last night when doing it I was getting intense pain in my right knee. It felt like it would snap! I asked one of the guys if I was squatting right and he watched and said yes. I showed a work ate…

The Power of Positive Thinking
Day after day I see people in the forums stating that they 'can't do this by myself' 'am finding it so hard' 'I'm so gross and disgusting' and the profiles I see are worse! Words are powerful. If you tell yourself you can't do something, or that it is too hard then it will become true. If you think of yourself in negative…

75 pounds down! (with lots of pics)
So today is my 255th day on MFP. I can honestly say that without the app I would not have lost the weight. Having an app on my phone has been a Godsend for me. I can add what I eat to my diary whenever I feel. I don't have to take a book out, I don't have to write anything down. It's been perfect for me! I eat 1600…

What was Santorum going to say?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=NeaA8nkiWdk I'm interested in hearing people's opinions on what word Santorum was going to say when he corrected himself. For those that want to avoid the ovvious answer (and the only word that fits in context) here's a list to help you.…

To answer all the 'is it fluid when it's TOM' questions
The answer is YES. I went for my weekly weigh in on Monday. Went to the bathroom just before (as you do) and realised that little *kitten* TOM had turned up. I put on .4kg and was at 107.2kg/236.3lbs. Weighed in today (Saturday am changing days so this will be my permanent day) and weighed 104.5kg/230.3lbs! ALL FLUID (wish…

TMI NSV
As someone with PCOS I have rarely gotten my period, except when on the Pill. I cannot honestly remember the last time I had two periods in two months. I would have been a teenager. Yesterday I got my second period this year. That in itself would be normal fore (generally only having two a year total) BUT it was 3: days…

Ditched the scale
Before six weeks ago I didn't own a scale and only weighed in on e a week. Then I got a great deal (or so I thought) and bought a body fat scale for $40. I never got my body fat. Never worked. The scale would give three different readings three times in a row. I also started weighing more often and was reeaking out! That…

Please talk sense into me
My parents are over for the weekend and while they're thrilled at my weight loss they keep giving advice. I've tried telling them I can't spot reduce. (you should do sit ups to reduce your belly!) the worst part is I HATE my belly and thighs and want them gone so I'm half listening to them. I'm doing NRoLFW (almost halfway…

It's all mental
I'm generally pretty positive with my weight loss. I've lost 28.8kg/63lbs and am feeling fantastic. But catching sight of myself in the mirror today has had me crashing mood wise. I want to look in the mirror and not see three rolls of fat (yes three, my two stomachs and my lady bits) I want to know that when I get to my…

I can't find a lot of info about obese women doing this program so I've started my own blog. Hope you read and…

Weight Loss while doing NROLFW
I'm doing this regardless because I want a strong body but I do have questions on weight loss. I've lost 28.5lg/62lbs in the past seven months. Due to time constraints I didn't do a lot of organised exercise. I walked for 30 minutes five days a week and played softball. I've just started my first week of NROLFW and am…

Fat Shaming
After reading the 'obese' thread and giving myself a night to sleep on it I have to post this. This is a weight loss website as well as a fitness website. The majority of people are here to lose weight. Knowing that the amount of fat shaming that goes on here is disgusting. Being fat, curvy, obese, overweight, morbidily…

Question on the Diet
Im 109.8kg (approx 240lbs) I'm reading the diet and am confused if we're meant to eat exercise calories back. I'm only subtracting 300 from his recommendations. I'm obese and don't want to eat at maintenance (1600 which is what I eat and will hit the higher cals on weight days) but if I'm doing cardio (because I love it…

Doing NRoLFW with a C25K program
After four LONG weeks my book finally arrived. Which means I can start next week. YAY! I have however, just started a C25K program. I have discovered an aboustle love of running. It makes me high. New Scale Help
I just bought a new scale and am having issues with it. It's a brand new battery so this isn't causing it. It's on a flat surface. It keeps coming up with an error about not being able to read body water composition. It won't tell me my body fat. And it changes weight EVERY time I step on it. (I'm trying to get the…

Food Question for Runners
I started the C25K last week and I've been RAVENOUS ever since. I've not been hungry since I started this six months ago but all of a sudden I'm flat out starving. I'm eating my exercise calories back. I'm getting my protein in. Do I need to up my calories?

60lbs gone in 201 days! (pics!)
Had my weigh in today and after a dissapointing weight in last week of a 300g gain I lost 1.6kg! (3.52lbs) The best part? Starting with Running
After realizing on the treadmill today that yes I can now run and it doesn't hurt I want to start running more regularly. I just don't know what times to do and how to structure it! I'm very much a beginner and don't really have any interest in running outside. Can anyone give me tips on running on a treadmill?

A Couple of NSVs
Last night I played softball against some of the top players in my state. I normally play at a lower level but some of the girls I coach talked me into it ;) I pitched three digs and besides being put over the fence by an Australian player (which is understandable!) kept a team of under 20 year olds, who are all half my…

Am I the only one?
I keep seeing all these posts saying 'I struggle to eat my calories' and I'm honestly baffled because I have never, ever, ever struggled to hit my calories. I always have something healthy in the house to eat, whether it be fruit or a tuna snack or something. I just don't struggle to eat!
