Waking up in middle of the night
A typical night lately. I go to bed, fall asleep just fine. Then about 2:00 AM I'm awake. Read, watch some tv for about 20 minutes, then can fall back asleep until normal wake up time. Not sure why...any thoughts?

Anxiety, Depression and Trauma-Related Disorders are all various forms of neuroticism?
https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/finding-new-home/202111/new-way-treating-anxiety-depression-and-trauma I saw this article the other day on Psychology.com and found it very interesting as someone who has had periods of anxiety, probably since childhood really. My 12-year old son also definitely has and is being…

High heart rate during sleep
I've been using a Withings sleep mat for some time now, and have discovered that my resting heart rate during sleep (71 average) is way higher than my resting heart rate (55 when sitting totally still) during the day. If I have had any alcohol during the evening the rate is higher (typically 80 average) but even if I have…

Delayed onset of sleep
I've struggled with delayed sleep onset since I was a child. There are rare occasions when I fall asleep within a few minutes but it is common for me to lay awake for any where from 30 minutes to several hours. I find it incredibly frustrating to feel tired (sometimes exhausted) but be unable to sleep. Often I lay in the…

Not sleeping well
For the past 2 weeks I’ve had trouble falling asleep laying in bed for hours on end. My mind is racing and I’m tossing and turning and sometimes just think of giving up and getting up and starting my day. When I do get to sleep I often wake up in the middle of the night. I can usually fall asleep after that but wake up…

Adventures in CPAP-landia
After years of my BF swearing to me that I stop breathing when I sleep, I finally decided to have a sleep study. Huh. Pretty enlightening. Those sinus headaches I had been waking up with were actually a sign of low oxygen (73%). And yes, I was stopping breathing while I "slept" to the tune of 53.1 timer per HOUR. Apnea is…

ADHD, craving sweets, and difficulty losing weight.
Just learned this the other day and thought it was very important to know, for anyone going through this, or who has ADHD friends who could be. "Lack of Dopamine in the ADHD Brain ...one trademark of ADHD is low levels of the neurotransmitter dopamine — a chemical released by nerve cells into the brain. Due to this lack of…

Insomnia
The single greatest deterrent to working out is lack of sleep for me. On a good day I can get 5 hours at best and that's with waking up at least 6 to 7 times. Anyone else with similar issues?

How to pick a chiropractor?
What makes a good chiropractor and what is expected from a visit to the chiropractor? Do they go into much of your health details? Adjustments are obviously important, what about massage or needling or other soft tissue work? Do you get a care plan to do some homework on your own? How much are you expecting to pay? Is it a…

Sleeping
I’m working on my sleep. I’ve heard to plan for 7.5hrs. After a week, If you wake up 5mins before your alarm, you are good. If not, add 30 minutes to your sleep time and try again. Etc. I’ve also seen where working out requires you to get more sleep. For example, LeBron often sleeps 12hrs to recover. My question is that if…
