Hi Ruthie. We have an indoor pool at our rec center. And unfortunately when they built our new pool the locals were begging for a saltwater pool but they out a chlorinated one in. A lot of us locals were kinda mad because the majority of the town wanted saltwater. But you know how politics goes. They do what they want anyway. So now I get the itchies from it because I am allergic to chlorine. Some of the people here have the big Walmart pools in their yards but the water never gets very warm for us to have an outdoor pool. Eve the ocean water is kinda chilly. As we locals say the water is only cold for the first few minutes then you are too numb to notice B)

Weather today is so awesome. It is 68 and overcast. It tried raining but didn't get very far. I will never complain about it here again. Not after 91 and blazing hot. Listen to me..........I'm such a pansy. ;)

The last time I saw that hot I passed out. I was about 13 and my mom insisted on blow drying my hair (go figure). It was 102 in the shade in Cody Wyoming. I passed out in the girls bathroom and my dad had to come in a carry me out to the truck. He took ice out of the cooler and put it on my body and let it melt on my clothes. Mom dipped a wash rag into the ice water and put it on my head. Needless to say I Don't do heat very well. That is why I live in a rainforest. And people say "but it's a dry heat". Sorry......heat is heat. And I don't like it. B)

    Good morning, losers! Happy Monday!

    good morning ladies,

hope everyone had a great weekend. we went to my friends for dinner last night and had a BBQ with her and her husband. I love a good BBQ in the summer, we had skirt steak, roasted shaved brussel sprouts(those were so yummy), corn on the cobb, watermelon and a pasta salad. we sat outside until it started to rain but it was all the food summer is about:)

I heard from my kids and they sound great! I slept in this morning and am off to do weights and spin this morning. it is going to be a weird week for me because I am traveling to the lake and then to south beach.

I hope everyone has a great start to their week!

    Afternoon,

I just got back from Yoga class and now back to reality of laundry and cleaning since I was away for the weekend.

We got back from Michigan last night, 6 hour drive and we were tired. The wedding was great, it did pour rain
all day Saturday so much so the tent where it was held was beginning to get soggy. So we changed our plans
on clothes and went shopping with another couple and I bought some pants and a top instead of my long
dress and new shoes. The ceremony went off outside with no rain but cloudy skies and wind. Some of the
bride's plans were cancelled due to weather. The food was good and we did have dancing inspite of the
slippery floor they layed down. The Johnny on the Spot was only one and it filled up fast. Yuck!
All in all we had a good time. It was too bad the next day the sun was out and it was beautiful and warm.
They provided heaters in the tent because it did cool down. The sun did manage to come out around
    dinner time.

Now back to reality and laundry today and cleaning. I did get on the scale this morning and of course I am up
b ut that was expected. I did record it and will be chipping away to get back to my ticker weight again. A
    real challenge this summer.

We will be leaving again on Thursday with our club cruise and our sail boat and will stay for a while after the long weekend.
Our boat engine is fixed and hope all goes well on our next venture since it will be a 5 hour crossing on
    Lake Ontario.

I will try and check with you all this week before I leave. I will have my tablet on the boat with me since Wi Fi will
    be available at all ports.

    Have a great day!

Shirley, the boating lifestyle sounds wonderful!

Esther, I am right there with you. I leave the pool and within hours my throat hurts. But alas, it is a great workout.

It stinks about your town pool not being saltwater. We had access to a saltwater pool for a few years and it was wonderful! No stingy eyes for the kids, no sore throat for me and no smelliness afterwards. I love salt water pools!!

Now we have a neighborhood chlorinated pool, oh well, at least we have a pool to enjoy.

We are enjoying fall like weather here in GA without leaves to rake :D i am loving it!

    Make it a great day!

Rachel-Congratulations on finding a house, what county is it in. Its nice not having neighbors behind you, we dont either.

Shirley-You lead an exciting life, always traveling somewhere, I'm sure with your husband retiring you have even more time to travel.

Stephanie-Sounds like you and your husband are enjoying yourselves, I love a barbecue myself. Glad your children are having fun at camp. Your trip to lake sounds nice and going to South Beach even better. I have never been there, but I have been to St. Petersburg, alot and I lived in Daytona for a short time, years ago. I have also been to Fort Walton, Orlando and more.

Marie-It was nice here over the weekend, I opened my windows both days. Today its hotter, air is on. With it being that hot there, its good to stay in the air and run errands early. Did you start that new plan, you were talking about?

Connie-The 4th of July challenge has several people at or over the 20lbs goal. That is good you started that group, Several success stories. Gotta go. Janice

Protein is not too good for your kidney so hope this will help me.. I will continue eating my beans fruits and veggies. Hoping in the long run it will pay off. Food has a lot to do with our bodies and health/. Just before Easter I was having a lot of problems with diarrhea Which got worsed Was even scare to get out of the house. I have try the gluten free ] was on it before and it done wonders So I have really got serious about it and proud to announce no problems since January before we made out trip to MO. to see our new grandson. So that is my #1 diet plan now and then the fruit, nut, veggies and beans and very little protein. and fat.

If there is a problem after I get my lab work done may be looking for another plan.

So now that I have this brace I was told I can now do whatever I want to. I said no it will not help me hike the trails I want to. Iris had soccer practice today. We walked down the hill pushing a baby in a stroller. Then I played a scrimmage game for 20 minutes kids against parents. Then we walked home. I'm done in today. But I will be making my 10000 steps today. The kids had a total blast playing against the parents. They always learn more that way.

Good morning misfit losers! Happy Tuesday!

Marie..hope you guys found the keys.
Shirley..enjoy your trip..sounds like so much fun!
    Stephanie..have fun at South Beach!
    Janice, Ruthie, Esther..hi there!

Not much happening here. Humidity is down some but promises to come back with a vengeance!

I have now gained 2 pounds in 30 days. My calories are set to 2600. Some days I just can't get to that number; last week the average intake was 2200. I try to keep it healthy and not eat junk. If I had an Sonic Oreo blast every day, there would be no problem! :)

Body pump at the gym for me today!

    Have a good one, losers!

connie, that is awesome that you have managed to increase your cals that much. it is going to help you greatly when you decide to cut back a little and start losing again. I am watching closely as I'm sure my metabolism is damaged as well:( that is unbelievable that only 2lbs gain. maybe even just water. do you feel really full?

ester, glad you got the brace

    Shirley, have a great trip!

no we have not found the keys. It has to be here in house or yard. for he had to have them to get home. Actually he has his keys it is his remote control and his security lock he can not find. And his car will not run without the security lock/ I have a set so we are not in deep trouble. But this is happen just way to much. just aggravation.

I had an early breakfast and have my meals all in my diary I have 7 grams of protein left over for a fruit snack. or whatever.

Connie you and I are really having a hard time losing. I think Esther has the right ideal Eat what you want and stay within your goals. I am trying to do that now.I think we worry to much about it. Relax and stay with your plan.

Stephanie have a great time at SB Enjoy yourself

Congratulations Rachel <3. Your house sounds perfect!!!!! Yay!!!

Glad to see everyone is doing well <3. My youngest son flew out Thursday to visit his dad's family in NY for two weeks. I was so excited to have my only break from being a mom I get each year..... Only to get a phone call from my oldest son about 4 hours later that he might have broken his shoulder :s. Fortunately after going through a gambit of tests he ended up with only a full AC separation at the joint and torn ligaments. He is still having a bit of trouble with pain and is out of commission for about 8 weeks, but fortunately it was his left arm and he has a desk job :)

I have been adding 50 calories a day each week to try to find my maintenance calories. So far so good. I allegedly will have 1340 and this week am shooting for 1275 average. I am going to keep pushing it up though I sincerely doubt I could ever get close to 2000 calories. Now that the drama has settled I can get back to it and am going to start the Fit for Life class tomorrow and get going on that stretching and strengthening program. Uugh Tonight however is swimming :)

Hope you all have a great Tuesday <3.

    Good Morning Everyone,
Hope you are having a good day.
I am up 1.4 lb. today. I knew it was coming as I didn't do too well last week with my food.
We are busy getting ready for July 4th. Will be cooking shrimp and enjoying friends at our
house. We live on a 850 acre lake and they have a great party with live music, fireworks, food etc. at our clubhouse.
Everyone decorates their pontoon boats and we ride to the clubhouse, listen to the music and we have a boat parade.
    Lots of fun.
Marie, Hope you find your keys.

A chiropractor apt this morning, my usual, but in time. On the way home from the wedding I was getting a pain down my
leg so I needed a treatment. Better now, I still have TO put heat and cold on it.

Doing ironing today and tomorrow packing. I picked up some groceries for a few days while we are away but forgot
a few things that weren't on my list. So I will have Dave pick them up. I also gassed up my car and my usual
pump place was being renovated so I had to go elsewhere. I also picked up my soaps from a lady who used to
have a booth at the farmers market but I found out she will be moving to Northern Ontario. I got 4 bars and one free.
I went to her house, it was beautiful and big and back in the woods. She said she found a place on the water,
I wonder how much that cost them.

Yesterday while doing laundry I went down to get things out of the dryer and there was a back up of sorts and water
all over the floor. What a mess! Dave called the Town and they came out to check it out. They said there were
some roots they saw so they will come back in a few weeks and dig it out. I went in the shower this morning and
some of it was there too. It seems to be back to normal, they figure something was clogged and it gave way.
    NICE!

I will be going to a restorative Yoga class tonight. I have been missing so many classes because we are always
away. Good thing I paid for 20 classes, I did catch a class yesterday morning, my usual.

    Well have to get ironing.

Hi, everyone! Happy Tuesday night! Haha. Sorry I've been absent again, busy times. But all for good reasons. :) Thank you everyone for the congrats on the house! :) I'm not counting all my eggs just yet, I have learned to stay cautious. When the inspection and appraisal have gone through and we've finalized the sale, I'll jump up and down and celebrate. :D The inspection is in the morning, and we'll be hanging around the whole time, so I'll get to spend around 4 hours at the house tomorrow, looking for issues and planning where everything should go. Everything looks to be in really good shape just looking at it, but we'll see what the official report says. I can't wait for those two steps to be completed so that we can officially call it ours!
Janice, it's located in Taylorsville, it's in a really nice, peaceful looking community. It's the perfect spot to put us 30 minutes from work and school(even when school moves), which is great because a lot of houses in Taylorsville would've set us up with a 45 min. to an hour drive. The house isn't huge, and doesn't have a garage or out building, but the location and the land is what makes it perfect. It's a very nice little house though, well maintained. And we intend to build a detached garage within the next few years. I'm eager for it to be ours and to start moving things in. I hope all goes really well.

Nancy, your 4th plans sound so fun! I want to watch fireworks this weekend but I don't think there are any planned close to us. Maybe next year we'll be setting some off in our backyard. :)

As far as weight, I feel like I've gained weight. I won't be shocked if I did, I've been enjoying my calorie-packed weekends, and I did cut my gym time in half. I hope it's all in my head though, because I look forward to weekends so much now! Haha. Plus getting to snack away is really nice during weekend homework assignments. We'll see on Friday though.

Sorry if I've missed any important news or info. I hope everyone is feeling good and doing well. :)

Hi guys. I hit 10000 steps again today. I thought I would be a useless lump in the chair after soccer practice last night. I have t been able to play soccer like that in 8 years. Not that I ran. I like having long legs. The poor kids (5-7 yr olds) have to run to keep up with my walking with the ball. It was fun. But thanks to the new brace I was actually able to chase kids today swim and walk the dogs. And I don't hurt as much as I thought I would. Even tonight I don't hurt as bad as expected. A good day finally for me.

    Morning,

I took in Yoga restorative class last night. Gentle postures but holding them longer like 10 min or so. I felt great after
that. I have been stressed lately due to being gone so much. I have to pack again today for a week on our sailboat.
I like going away don't get me wrong, but I also like some down time at home and putter around here. I have not had
that opportunity since my husband retired. He is a go go all the time.

I will be packing today and then do some other things. We will be leaving tomorrow morning. It rained here again last
night and it is so soggy around the house. I hope we have decent weather while away. We have our club cruise
over the long weekend then we are on our own after that.

HAPPY CANADA DAY ! I may catch some fireworks tonight depending how the day goes.

Esther, that's so awesome! I'm so glad you have a brace now that helps you to be even more active. This is why you will be so successful, you're not satisfied to sit still. :)

Shirley, I know what you mean. We rarely have a lot of plans, but when we have several at a time we just want to have some down time in between, especially my husband. If we go on a vacation he wants to have at least a day to just sit in the hotel. I'm starting to side more toward him on that one too.
I hope you get to go see some fireworks tonight! I love fireworks. :)

We're off to our home inspection. I only got a handful of sleep last night, and when we return in 4-5 hours I still have to get in the gym. Going to be running on caffeine today. A friend of ours is coming over tonight as well. He'll get to meet our new kitties. :)

Have a good day everybody! It looks like it's about to storm here, hopefully we'll get to the house before it starts.

Good morning, misfit losers! Happy Wednesday!

Sorry, Marie :) ..running late this am. Couldn't get the dog out to walk cause he refused to budge, had to eat breakfast before my gym appointment with trainer, and had no time to post.

Ray..great news on house..so happy for you!
    Nancy..your weekend sounds fabulous!
Esther..good for you on the steps!
Steph.. I only feel extremely full when I eat the wrong stuff. Gonna give it another month then cut to a deficit. Yes, it could be water.

Few more days until the challenge is over. I lost 2 or 3 pounds before I decided to increase, but not gonna count it in the tally since I have almost gained it all back.

    Make it a great day!
    Connie
