I changed my picture to one of my dogs, she was looking so pretty sitting there. I had went out to take a picture of a neat looking sunset, but it didnt turn out very good, so I took pictures of the dogs. After holiday weekend I was surprisingly down alittle. I joined the new group, the past 2 challenges I have had losses, but not the 20, but I have met this great group of people, who have supported me, not just about my weight, but my personal situations, I have had the past few months, thanks for everything. Wow 25 new messages to read. I was afraid the name changed on this one and the people came flocking. Glad it's still just us!

We are keeping this challenge as just us. A lot of us feel it is a sanctuary from huge threads. Although the other challenges are broken down into smaller threads this one is "home" for a lot of us.

Thank you Stephanie, I like posting here, too. Its nice to meet new people , but it gets overwhelming on the large threads. With the new group and this thread, we have the best of both worlds. Janice

The thanksgiving group is actually going nicely. The July challenge was mostly flashes in the pan. People who wanted to "look good in a bikini". It showed in our final numbers that less than 30 out of 172 posted their losses. Those are really bad odds. And those who have joined the thanksgiving group from the July group are the ones who posted losses. I'm thinking this group will be much smaller. No one wears a bikini in the middle of fall and winter. And the group so far is those of us who want to be healthier and not just look good. I mean if looking good comes with being healthier great but we are not doing this just to look good and it shows in our dedication to these groups.

Thanks. Yet somehow I feel like Bulkwinkle J. Moose from Rocky and Bullwinkle. Always bumbling along. But as you said earlier it pretty much runs itself. I'm just there to make new threads each week.

    Good morning, everyone!

Well, I had a wonderful time yesterday at my initial consultation, metabolic coaching session laying out my meal plan for the week, and first workout!!! I know the pictures, measurements, and weight are awful, but I have only better pictures to look forward to in 21 days when they retake my pictures, measurements, weight, and BF%. They used ultrasound to determine my BF% on my arm, hip, abdomen, and thigh. He said it was good that I only had one layer of fat on my abdomen because many people have multiple layers. Who knew that? LOL

I don't need to, but for my own reference and for anyone who is interested, I have entered my food into the log for today and tomorrow and then I just flip between those two days every other day for the week. It's a LOT more food than I imagined and he said that, Yes, I will lose weight and inches. We shall see... It was really nice because he asked me what I wanted to eat with each meal and he made it work with my macros. I can change it up next week if I want to have different things in each meal. I really eat kind of the same things over and over anyway, so I'm good with this plan.

They started me out slowly on the workout and I'm not at all sore today. I felt the burn on many of the exercises, but I can do lots more than what I did yesterday. I'll ease into it the three times this week and then ask to be bumped up a bit next week. I did mostly legs and abs yesterday. I'm excited to see what I get to do tonight!!!

I am so very happy I have the means and accessibility to have a personal trainer 3x/week and the metabolic coaching and both for a full year. I know this will be the key to my success and I'm already in a better state of mind knowing I'm taking care of myself as I should.

I think I'll post my stats on Esther's Thanksgiving challenge, too.

I hope you are all having a great week!

    Becky
