One in each hand, easily.0

Ah- you're a handy man- I much prefer the other options- but I mean- one in each hand will work.
You're really a pro when you can double fist AND have one in the mouth.0 -
Both of the points above, as well as just my own obsessive compulsive need to see numbers, are the reason why I still log on blowout days. I personally like seeing how things add up, and even knowing I'm going to go over, I usually do find that things aren't as bad as I thought.
As Jof pointed out, I'm not one to freak out over the numbers, heck, I think those of us posting here are trying to go big or go home, but for the newer people or those who have more of the "F-it, what's the point mentality", I think logging it to see that things aren't as dire as you assumed would be good.
This entire week I thought was going to be a really bad one because of all the "events" happening. I've been logging daily, and as of this morning, I was within 100 cals of my goal for the week so far. I've indulged, but I haven't gone balls out. Yet...
This is why I have always been a very strong proponent in the forums for logging all days...especially these "blow-out" days. (I know we're all wired differently, but I *need* to know the amount...because otherwise my very comprehensive TDEE tracking calculation would be messed up by bad data points. It's how I know my TDEE before exercise is [redacted to prevent making new enemies].)
While it's really easy to consistently eat at a slight surplus every day for a long period of time, it's not as easy to undo weeks of a slight deficit in one day.0 -
I had under 2000 for Thanksgiving too. Hoping to do better on Christmas.0

I'm in
Christmas eve is still being decided but there will be lots of Kahlua
Christmas day will be easily 4000 calories.. my husband makes lasagna, meatballs, and there will be lots of desserts. Starting off with monkey bread.. and whatever else I bake this week0 -
Ooo I'm in!
Christmas Eve is at my parent's, an Italian seafood feast - pasta, zuppa di pesce, etc, Christmas Day is at my in-laws usually a roast, lamb, soup, lasagna...then Boxing day is my Polish side: goose, roast beef, pierogi, potatoes, kolbasa, cabbage, potatoes.. wait, did I mention potatoes? plus dessert all 3 days
The problem is, because of the huge meals, it is hard to eat so much in one sitting for me, so I am hoping I at least hit my regular cal goal... that's where dessert and wine come in I guess!! I am aiming for 4000 calories each day which is a nice 12K, only 2.4K more than I would normally eat in 3 days. I wasn't going to even bother logging, but now I might just have to, I am so curious!0 -
Poor goyim, only one day to get their calories in...
But seriously! We got 8 nights of a festival where we are commanded, not encouraged, commanded to eat fried stuffs. Latkes (potato pancakes) with apple sauce and sour cream, donuts filled with all sorts of stuff, oil all over the place. Anyone wanting to really up their calories during the holiday season has to find some Jews to hang with. Bring on the miracle of the oil lamp!

I need some jewish love in my life!!!0 -
I'm in again. Will be eating king crab, shrimp, baby potatos, smoked sausage, beef brisket, caramel cheesecake, more baklava and lots of caramel corn. I'll be aiming for 5-6 k. 6k was harder to reach than I thought at Turkey time.0
-
I know- I was surprised too- that's okay- I'm considering that was a warm up. And I'll be eating at home- so I have much more precise control.
We can do this- I have faith in us.0 -

Christmas is a big blowout day in our family. We have little kids too, and they get in on it big time!
Morning- glazed donuts, candied almonds, crackers/cheese/fruit tray, hot chocolate for the kids and coffee for adults, and whatever candy in the christmas stockings (I have a hunch I will be getting ferrero rochers this year!)
Christmas "dinner" (held at 1:00pm) off to a friend's home for wine, baked goods, cresent rolls, potato hot dishes and cream of soup side dishes (Im vegetarian. Husband will most definitely be eating ham)
Later in the evening- cold plates of assorted christmas leftover food, cheese and fruit, slice of pie, whatever.
Tums and gingerale will be served towards the end of the evening.0 -
Sorry, not a single calorie will be logged between 23 December and 2 January (at least). Would be practically impossible to log my mom's home-cooking anyway.
I'm anticipating ~2500 calories of food and ~500 calories of booze per diem.0 -

I'm in. I was horribly, terribly, no good ill over Thanksgiving, so I missed out on the feasting. Our family will be celebrating Christmas at a ski resort, so I have no idea what will be on the menu, nor will I have ability to log (I'm NOT bringing a laptop, just not gonna happen).
Regardless, I'm hoping for delicious, decadent indulgences to hit around 3,000 daily over 3 days. No drinking will happen, so it will be 100% food calories (hence a lower 3,000 goal for me). Expect a full report (with pictures) come December 26 .

I'm expecting to hit around 4k on Christmas Day, I' going to try and log what I eat but i'm not going to restrict my choices. Its the one day of the year I can legitimately drink champagne and eat chocolate for breakfast. I'm going to make the most of it!
