This post is meant as a joke, right? You guys aren't seriously going to spend the holiday thinking about how many calories you need to consume to meet a goal, I hope.

    Need more pics.

Still only at 1500 calories today, it's 2pm and I'm not even hungry (I had a piece of harvest cake for lunch and some buttercream tasting from my second Yule log for tomorrow), so 4000 is starting to be doubtful.

I think I'll have to go for a multi-day goal as well, though I'm waffling on the number. (Note to self - waffles sound good!). Christmas Eve isn't really a thing in my family, but I will be drinking a double-wide bottle of Chardonay as I wrap presents while mindlessly eating a tub of Harry London chocolates and watching the Grinch (the cartoon, dammit) today.

Tomorrow will be croissants and lots of cream in my coffee for breakfast. Then comes the tough part to count - snacking. Cheese and crackers. Little weenies. Chips. Sugar cookies. More chocolate. Dinner is roast turkey breast with mash potatoes, green beans, and biscuits. Then we go to the cousins where the table will be plastered with every dessert imaginable, right next to the second table full of wine. I fear calorie counting might be impossible.

THEN, Friday is my birthday. Diner for breakfast - I will try to be good and get an omelette, but it will have cheese & I'll eat all the home fries and bacon and buttered toast. Popcorn and soda at the movies. Then Italian restaurant for dinner. Penne ala vodka? Ravioli? Maybe a steak? Who knows? And who cares, really, as long as I have cheesecake and a cappuccino for dessert???

Have a very merry everyone! I will be back for pictures!

Monkey bread plus egg casserole and bacon for breakfast got me close to 1000. Dinner (salami, cheese, ravioli from an Italian market, homemade focaccia and salad) is prelogged at 1000 not including wine or dessert.

    3000 looks totally doable today...

Serious challenge means serious foods, lol! I'm not much of a sweets person, so I'm having some of this for dessert (in my very serious drankin' cup):

LOL, I learned from the best! I might not finish this steak, getting the meat sweats. But the leftover piece will accompany some fried eggs tomorrow morning:

I know I "said" I didn't like sweets. So, I changed my mind with that! Hubba, hubba! Enjoy!
