A couple of ice creams sampled over the past couple of weeks: Gelato Fiasco's Double Caramel Cookies & Cream, Vice Cream's Breakfast in Bed, and Vice Cream's L'Orange a Trois.
First, Gelato Fiasco's Double Caramel Cookies & Cream gelato - I'm torn about this one. On the one hand, the flavors are pretty good. Caramel gelato with plenty of caramel swirls and chocolate cookies (though these are less of the "cookies & cream" type cookies, and more of the "cookies" that you find an Talenti's caramel cookie crunch flavor or the crunchy cookies in Carvel's ice cream cakes), so the flavors are there. However, the texture was all wrong and powdery/chalky. This might just be the particular pint that I got and not all of these ones, as I've had other Gelato Fiasco flavors before that were fine. However, it's hard to get past that texture in the particular pint you're eating.
Vice Cream's Breakfast in Bed ("maple ice cream, sticky bun dough, pecan praline, maple syrup and cinnamon cream cheese ripple") was pretty good, though I would have liked more mix-ins, particularly the sticky bun dough pieces. I got mainly pecan praline pieces in my pint. Also, I'm not sure that my pint even had the cinnamon cream cheese ripple in there as I didn't taste it at all. Overall, pretty good, though.
Vice Cream's L'Orange a Trois ("vanilla ice cream with a taste of orange ripple and dark, milk, and white chocolate chunks") - I was hoping for a creamsicle like flavor with this one, and to some extent, that's what you get, though it's only concentrated on the orange ripples, which there are disappointingly hardly any of throughout the pint. The orange ripple concentrated areas are tasty, but the rest of the pint is a regular, somewhat bland vanilla base. The variety of chocolate chunks are also a bit sparse.

I just recently discovered that every Friday Giant uploads a free coupon online that you can clip to your card so that when you use it or enter your phone number the item automatically comes off as free. A new coupon is uploaded each Friday, but it doesn’t expire for a couple weeks later! Definitely worth looking into! I don’t know if different locations have different offers, but this is what mine has this week! I never tried them so I’m pretty excited
@hgycta
They have been doing this for a long time. I always get them. I've gotten 32 oz of dannon yogurt, 48 oz of organic almond cashew milk, whole jar of cookie butter, chobani yofurt, aria cream cheese, a kind snack, a Godiva candy bar, all kinds of good stuff. Mine has this candy and also stop and shop flip yogurt this time. Just loaded them.
By the way, the candy bars I sent you say they were delivered about an hour ago!!! Check your mail!3 -

I ordered this in to my local Target because they weren't in my area and I'm obsessed with s'mores. I really wish the marshmallows weren't so hard. It's good but a nice fluffy marshmallow would make it so much better. Also, they don't have gelatin (because the marshmallows aren't real marshmallows) so if anybody is a vegetarian who avoids gelatin and usually misses out on all the s'mores stuff, you can try these, but they aren't vegan.1 -
I went to Market Basket and was able to find all the Clio bar flavors. I also found Market Basket's limited edition s'mores chocolate bar!!!!! 50 cents each, 250 calories. Haven't tried them, but I will eat at least half of a bar tonight. The Clio bars will need to wait until I'm done with the s'mores bars. I still haven't tried the hazelnut Clio that I bought last week. I picked up blueberry, strawberry, honey, and vanilla this time. Espresso was sold out but I wouldn't have gotten it anyway.0

Blech. There is no flavor to this stuff. None. And it’s HARD as a rock, like someone else said. Never again.

@melissa6771 I opened one of them and you can’t even tell it was ever soft - it looks and tastes good as new! That being said, MY GOODNESS. THESE THINGS ARE SO GOOD.
I grew up addicted to Reese’s peanut butter cups but recently found myself a bit frustrated that I couldn’t taste the peanut butter as much as I used to. However, these are undeniably peanut butter-y. The Reese’s pieces candy with the peanut butter center are exactly what this world needed. The caramel is more there for texture but with the chocolate everything is just... wow. Perfect. It’s taking all my willpower right now not to open the second bar and finish it off, too. 10/10
I stil think reese’s stole the idea from the OhYeah! Chocolate Caramel Candies good grab bars, but I approve Thanks again Melissa, let me know anytime I post something you can’t find! It’s yours!

@kellyjellybellyjelly I threw out halo top birthday cake and prefer enlightened. I downed the red velvet in one sitting.
If you guys have a BJs membership, my BJs carries enlightened three packs of the chocolate PB, which is my favorite! And also the brownie cookie dough one, which I also love. $10.99 for the three pack.
Would've been good if they used the butter pecan base for movie night. I really like the butter pecan.
The only enlightened I haven't loved so far are snickerdoodle and bananas foster.
I saw those pints in Bjs, but I broke down the cost per pint and it’s still cheaper to buy them at Shoprite during the $2.88 sale for those who live near one. I was never a fan of the brownie cookie dough, but I agree nothing beats their chocolate PB and they should have totally used the butter pecan base for movie night. Everyone loves that one but I was really disappointed with it
I had their red velvet the other night and just look at these glorious globs of cream cheese... Halo Top needs to take notes and step up their mix-in game! This is 90% of why I choose enlightened, I LOVE gooey mix-ins!
OK, so Arctic Zero is still my low-calorie option, but this may have to find its way into my freezer. Thanks!2 -
Anyone try either of these?2 -
The Market Basket s'mores bar isn't worth it. No marshmallow flavor or pieces. Extremely cheap chocolate, tastes like advent calendar chocolate. At least it basically got the graham part right. 1/10.2
-
I bought a box of these because the flavor sounded delicious and unique. Chocolate, pb and strawberry. I was hoping they'd be reminiscent of my favorite curate bars that were sadly discontinued. These ones..
But these were not good at all. The strawberry flavor was very fake tasting and I couldn't really taste anything besides an overwhelmingly powerful bitter medicine like strawberry taste. 1/10 Would not buy again. Might return rest of the box lol.2 -
In case anyone was wondering, these cereals literally look and taste the exact same. Anyone who tries to tell you otherwise is lying, they’re identical! And now I have 3 pounds and 5 ounces of cereal left... in a lactose intolerant household. What have I done.
I couldn't find the Fruity Pebbles with marshmallows so I got this brand instead. It's identical. Post and Malt O Meal are the same company, so the only difference is price and bag.
Now if they would just bring back Cupcake Fruity Pebbles and Marshmallow Alphabits.
I really want to try the malt o meal coco pebbles with marshmallows. I always buy this brand cinnamon toast crunch and it tastes literally exactly the same, but half the price. I had no idea they were the same company!

Yeah, I had no clue it was the same company either! The nutritional information and ingredients list were nearly identical except for very minor discrepancies (such as one being 1.5g fat versus 1g) but the calories per 30grams were the same. I’m pretty sure they used the margin of error the FDA allows to make them look like they’d be different recipes although they weren’t!
I loved the fruity pebbles with marshmallows cereal but I’m all over this chocolate version! I’ve been eating the chocolate Frosted Flakes with marshmallows, but I’ve always thought the cocoa pebbles turned the milk more chocolatey faster since they’re smaller so I’m definitely going to look for these next time I like Malt o Meal, I just hate how big they are because we really don’t eat cereal that often in this house! But it’s hard not to buy a bunch with all the good ones coming out!!0 -
On coupons.com there is a coupon for the new Magnum pints $1.25 & $0.50 for the Cool Whip Mix-Ins.3

I have Tupperware cereal storers that keep cereal fresh for months. I'm not sure if Rubbermaid makes something similar?2 -
Malt O Meal is owned by Post. I think they're separate entities but I'm not sure how it all works. All that I do know is that the cereal tastes the same and is good.3

I'm so glad they got there in good shape! Should have sent you more than 2. I have two here but I'm not ready to eat them yet. I have a stockpile of goodies at this point, you would think I'm waiting for the apocalypse. Lol
As for the BJs enlightened pints, more expensive than shop rite sale, which we don't have here, but much better at $3.66 than $4.79-$5.99 that they are everywhere else. I tried the cookies and cream last night. It's good but I still like other flavors better
Those protein crisps someone posted, I've been downing them every night. Can't buy those again. I guess crunchy chiplike things are hard for me to control. Lol... at least they're full of protein and fiber and lower calories.3 -

Nonono I’m glad you sent two, so I can have it again but I won’t be tempted to eat five or six in one sitting (because I WOULD)!!!!
I tried this new Starbucks drink this morning and it was super rich with a lot of chocolate flavoring. If you want chocolate, it’s good. I didn’t taste much coffee though and it didn’t really wake me up at all. I need to stop drinking bottled coffee drinks, they’re just so much sugar and hardly any caffeine (except for those Monster Caffe drinks which are a godsend).

*ahem* Simply Protein is completely lying on their packaging about the most protein for the least calories.
That is all.3 -
7-11 HAD THESE CHIPS 2 FOR $2.50!!! I just had both, very impressed!!! Thick and very heavily seasoned. My dad and I agree the mild sauce is better, but we’re both weenies who can’t handle spicy things :’) I’ll definitely get them again!

@melissa6771 I know you like the Premier Protein drinks, have you tried this flavor yet? I saw it in sam’s club today!
2 -
I don't know if this is new or not, but it's new to me. Sooooo good!

So saw this in the Trader Joe’s Fearless Flyer and it sounded good and I finally got to go today so I grabbed a couple boxes thinking I could make one and share it with my Mom for Mother’s Day. I’m excited to try it because I snuck a taste of the batter and it was delicious. Not to mention my house smells delicious with it in the oven. It was also very simple to mix up and the icing is super simple also. If you like lemons and cake and live close to a Trader Joe’s I highly recommend this. Be warned it is a limited edition so don’t wait too long.4 -

Ha! I do love my premier protein products! I just found the salted apcaramel bars at ocean state really cheap. I haven't tried the peach because I put them in my coffee. I have chocolate and vanilla and my next flavors are caramel and cookies and cream. Did you get them? I try to buy them when they have $4 off at one of the wholesale clubs2 -

No, I’m going to try and find the single bottles first before I buy a huge carton of them (they might have a good return policy but it’s still a 30 minute drive for me) I can definitely imagine how it might clash with coffee though haha!I don't know if this is new or not, but it's new to me. Sooooo good!
That looks amazing, is it also 90 calories????
I went to Walmart and saw new Cracker Barrel turkey deli meat. I bought it because I’m obsessed with Cracker Barrel, but it’s pretty bland and dry so I won’t get it again. My dad bought their pancake mix and said it also wasn’t really that good, but I didn’t get a chance to have any of it when he made it >.<

@hgycta the peaches and cream and the cookies and cream are exclusive to Sam's club right now. Walmart owns Sam's and does have the cookies and cream in four packs. $7.27 here. I don't remember seeing the peach but it's possible.1

Walmart's The Bakery Baked With Pride Cakes. They're only 50 cents (though I did find two for 21 cents on the bakery clearance rack), so I decided to try the confetti, chocolate, cinnamon, and caramel sea salt cakes. All were tasty right out of the box, but 15-20 seconds in the microwave greatly enhanced the flavor. I loved the chocolate cake the most. For ~250-300 calories, they're a good size to satisfy a cake craving without the fuss of baking. However, if you're particular about your desserts like @Francl27, you might not be impressed. Loose loggers, be careful; some cakes were >10 grams over the stated weight.

Walmart has their own brand of protein bars in the Pharmacy section (these seemed to mimic Quest). They had Cookies & Cream & one other flavor that I can't remember (at least at my store).1
