Bourbon vanilla bean truffle was tasty, but not my favorite. The bourbon taste is pretty prominent in this. The chocolate truffles, while tasty, seem to be more of just chocolate pieces instead of what I think of as chocolate truffles. I'd give this an 8/10.
The rum tres leches and Irish cream brownie flavors were both amazing. I don't know which is my favorite, both are 10/10. For the rum tres leches, the rum ice cream was subtle but you could definitely taste it. The dulce de leche swirl and tres leches cake pieces were delicious too. The Irish cream brownie flavor was similar in that the Irish cream ice cream had the perfect amount of Irish cream in it, and the brownie and fudge swirl mix-ins complemented it very well. If anything, the brownie pieces weren't quite brownies but were more small chocolate cake like pieces, but it was still really good.
One thing that I noticed with the spirits line is that the serving size are different from the other Haagen-Dazs lines. Their other ice creams list a serving as 1/2 cup with 3.5 servings per container, but the spirits line lists a serving as 2/3 cup with 2.5 servings per container.
If I’m not mistaken, the reason the new labels have a different serving size has to do with the FDA. I’ve noticed the servings change on several ice creams to 2/3 cup, and rather than showing things like Vitamin C % I now notice labels include potassium, added sugar, etc.
I read somewhere a while back it has to do with forcing companies to show the calories for a more “realistic” portion size... but realistically, if I had a pint of ice cream in front of me like that it’s going down in one sitting. ESPECIALLY Haagen dazs! That looks AMAZING.

Ah, interesting about the FDA. Yeah, it was a struggle to limit myself as I wanted to try more than just one of the new flavors! I did only try a tiny bit of each though (a little over 50g for each flavor).1 -

Not sure if this was posted or not, but if anyone hasn’t tried these you NEED to!!!! Found them in Target; even my dad, who hates Hershey’s kisses, agreed these are his favorite. It’s a dark chocolate with a very smooth chocolate liquid center. It feels like a Lindt truffle but only 20 calories per kiss as compared to ~77 calories per truffle!
Also found these in the dollar tree but I haven’t tried them yet!

I've already been through three bags of the lava cake Hershey kisses. They are amazing.
Someone brought the sour patch conversation hearts into work, but I was too wary to try them. If I'm gonna eat 100 calories of sugar, I'd rather it be chocolate. :-)2 -

I tried the McDonalds bacon cheese fries and they were okay; good but nothing special. However I spent the rest of the day in the bathroom so do with that information what you will.8 -
Caramel apple sounds good. Wonder how oat milk compares to other non dairy ice creams.4 -

Also, going back to these Sour Patch Kids Conversation Hearts. They’re mad addicting, don’t get it unless you can find the little boxes that force you to limit yourself!!!! They’re like a sour smarties!

Wow these are good! Not new but new for me. It was like chocolate covered crushed up Oreos. I loved both and I hate mint Oreos. I would definitely eat again.5 -
Yeah. I can't buy multiples of those. I'll eat them all in one day. Sooooo good!3

Kroger's version of Halo Top was on sale at Smith's last weekend. I look forward to trying these after I get through some of the other treats I have. So far I've only tried salted caramel. I also bought a chocolate and a birthday cake. Salted caramel was sweet, frozen, and creamy, with tasty caramel swirls. But, it doesn't really taste like proper ice cream IMO. However, It still had a good flavor that I feel will kick that craving when my calories are limited.

I buy these all the time. Microwave them 30 to 45 seconds to make them better.Crafty_camper123 wrote: »Kroger's version of Halo Top was on sale at Smith's last weekend. A couple of more Haagen-Dazs spirits ice creams- Stout chocolate pretzel crunch and bourbon praline pecan.
I liked the Stout chocolate pretzel crunch, which was advertised as a stout-infused chocolate ice cream with toasted malt notes and chocolate covered fudge swirls. The base was primarily a chocolate ice cream, which I liked since I'm not really a beer fan. The mix-ins were tasty too. Pretty good, but not on the level of the rum tres leches or Irish cream brownie.
So the container for the bourbon praline pecan is a regular Haagen-Dazs container and not one of the spirits containers, but this flavor was still showing up as new and in the articles related to the new line. In any case, this flavor is bourbon ice cream, brown sugar bourbon swirls, and praline pecans. It tastes similar to the bourbon vanilla bean truffle flavor, though a bit more bourbon flavor since that one only has a bourbon swirl. I'd give the edge to bourbon praline pecan over bourbon vanilla bean truffle because the pecans add a bit of a bitterness that works well.
I haven't seen the non-dairy amaretto black cherry almond toffee flavor yet, which is disappointing because that flavor sounds awesome.2 -
Haven't read the thread but if this brand hasn't yet been mentioned I am recommending it right now. Every flavor I've tried is absolutely divine....better than regular ice cream even (and I love ice cream). They are a bit pricey for a box of 4 but holy moly are they magical. And not bad for you either....low calorie and 5 grams of protein.
