I was planning to use almond milk since I don't buy/use regular milk, I don't see why it wouldn't! I was even going to try using dairy free greek yogurt.skelterhelter wrote: »Noreenmarie1234 wrote: »I want to try the Christmas cookie flavor. I've had that Christmas Cookie before. It kinda tastes almondy to me (like when you use cherry almond flavoring in baked goods). It's not bad.
I purchased these a few days ago - find the Cookie more or less just 'sweet' with a 'bit' of that cookie dough flavor. It's still pretty good though - the peppermint one isn't very pronounced - not a favorite. Haven't tried the other one yet
Salted caramel mocha is one of my favorites! Thanks for review for the christmas cookie. Seems like it's nothing worth going out of my way to order.
@skelterhelter Ohhh interesting! I hate almond flavoring so thats good to know.0 -

I think I wouldn't like this in the least...what about the rest of you?
I adore orange chocolate too, but as cereal, it does not sound very appetizing!
That's what I thought - very weird as a cereal. However, even when served 'normally', I'm not a fan of orange/chocolate together. lol!0 -

Frozen yogurt OR plain Greek yogurt frozen?
My husband has half a dozen of these syrups for coffee. It would be cool to make smoothies with them.2 -

Me too! The orange Built Bars are one of my favorite flavors. And, I’ve been looking for the Terry’s chocolate oranges they have for Christmas, but haven’t seen them at Target yet. They seem to sell out very fast. My daughter always gets one in her Christmas stocking.

QUESTION:
Has anyone tried the Birch Benders syrups??? If so, what are your thoughts??
Also, what do you guys think of the Quest Loaded Taco Tortilla Chips? I liked them at first... but tried again and idk how to feel.

I really liked the taco ones! I like them used in taco salad or dipped in things not by themselves though.3 -

Has anyone had any luck finding Halo Top Gingerbread or anyone else find Blue Bunny's Snickerdoodle Sleigh Ride?
I've read on Instagram that people have been finding the Snickerdoodle Sleigh Ride at more obscure grocery chains so far.
So far this Christmas/Holiday Season I haven't found any other holiday inspired foods that I need to rush out & buy.
I might buy the Walmart brand Sugar Cookie microwaveable popcorn & their brand of Gingerbread cookies.0 -

I'm in the Kansas City area and have only see the BB Snickerdoodle Sleigh Ride at a local chain of grocery stores called Price Chopper.1 -

I've tried the original maple and loved it. I'll be looking out for the bourbon one because that sounds wonderful.1 -

Shoot, I've been excited to order peppermint bark but want it strong! Just finished my last pumpkin one.1 -
The Nutless butter & jelly remind me of kids cereal. I love them! The Carmelized Onion are delish as nd Honey Dijon too! Have to try few of the others.1

Does anybody have any suggestions of what's good or what I should absolutely not buy from Thin Slim? I'm thinking about treating myself to some of their stuff, I'm mostly looking for desserts, but I'm also interested in the bagels.1

I'm addicted to the Quest Taco chips. They're really good. I did have one bag (out of dozens) that seemed kinda soft, and stale and off somehow. I think maybe that bag didn't get sealed correctly.
I just ordered some Chili Lime in my amazon subscription because they were out of Taco. I hope they are good.

Has anyone ordered ice cream from "icecreamsource.com"? I am thinking of ordering a bunch of the Enlightened flavors I can never seem to find in the stores near me.
How was your experience? Did the pints arrive OK (i.e. not melted or refrozen)?
I’ve ordered from them a couple times and each time it’s been great! I live in Maryland so I’m not sure if that affects anything, but it all shipped on dry ice and arrived in better condition than I sometimes find in the store; I’ve gotten so many freezer burnt pints from Shoprite, but zero freezer burnt ones from ice cream source. I definitely recommend them! If you sign up for emails they’ll occasionally have promotions to make it a little more affordable
Thanks, will give them a try. I get so deflated when I sit down to a freezer burnt pint! Seems to happen often for me... I’ve started taking a cooler with me to the grocery store
So, I FINALLY ordered several flavors of Enlightened from icecreamsource.com. They arrived solid as a rock and full, definitely better than what you get in store! Thanks for the recommendation @hgycta
One weird thing though... they arrived completed solid and full (I could tell by squeezing the containers). However, after spending the night in my freezer they actually shrunk and ended up like how you get them sometimes at a grocery store. There was no freezer burn or crystallization so I still thoroughly enjoyed those I've tried but am curious what may be happening. I am sure there is some kind of physics at work here (going from colder to not as cold but still in the freezing range) - if you know what's going on with that I would love to know!
On a different topic...
I tried the new Robert Irvine's Fit Crunch High Protein Puffs (cheddar cheese flavor).
They were great! You get quite a large serving and they are crunchy and flavorful... only 130 calories and 20g of protein. I am going to be getting these A LOT. A++4 -
Never had the rice miracle noodles variety but these came out great. They really have the texture of rice and weren’t chewy or anything. Huge volume for only 30 calories!
They definitely are more rice like than cauliflower rice. All pictured is 80 calories for like 3 cups! Going to make huge stir fry next time with lots of veggies and chicken. Definitely buying again.10 -
This company sends samples. They were like softer larabars. The coconut was the best because it was really soft.
The mango was good too. I enjoyed them but I have to be in the mood for the datey bars like this. They are less datey/nutty and more fruity/soft/sweet than latabars.1 -

Review the Enlightened flavors when you get the chance! Two of my favorite flavors are discontinued, that's what I get buying from Grocery Outlet! I like Salted Caramel, Peanut butter chocolate, and Cold Brew out of the current ones.0 -

I've tried the following. It seems I like everything, so not sure if I would place any weight on these!
Black Cherry Chocolate Chip: nice cherry flavor, good amount of chocolate chips and a few cherries (could use more). Similar to Ben & Jerry's Cherry Garcia.
Strawberry Cheesecake: nice strawberry swirls, ice cream base had a cheesecake flavor that I liked but I anticipate some may not.
Lemon Meringue Pie: the description mentions a "marshmallow meringue ice cream" but I didn't think of that, just seemed like vanilla (though still tasty). Had some pieces of pie crust mixed in and nice lemon swirls.
Triple Berry Cobbler: had a real nice berry flavored ice cream base with raspberry swirls and biscuit crumbles mix in. This one is similar to the lemon meringue pie flavor above and the better of the two.
Still waiting to be devoured:
All That & a Bag of Chips

@Kalex1975
I agree on black cherry chocolate chip, could use more cherry! I usually go for typical "sweet" flavors like chocolate and caramel. The only flavors I couldn't stand had marshmallow like hot cocoa, the sweetener for it tasted horrid to me. Strawberry cheesecake sounds awesome! I bet white chocolate raspberry will be good. I'm currently doing no sweets until Thanksgiving but will be hunting down Peppermint Mocha and the pumpkin spice Enlightened, if I can't find them I'll try one of these!2 -

love this 'rice' too...rarely buy it cause I can only find it at my local health food store for around $5/bag...1 -
If you like the Chobani flipz then you should try the almond breeze version. It’s made with almond milk but you can’t even taste a difference and it’s only 190 calories for one. I like the chocolate one they have or the salted caramel one.1

I also found great ice cream alternatives if you need a little something sweet in the evenings or anytime like I do. They are these snack sized ice cream bars by Yasso. They are made from Greek yogurt and one bar is only 45 calories! They taste so so good too! You can also buy the full sized bars for 100 calories each but I love the snack sized ones. It the perfect amount for me!2
