See their emails. They're under a denial of service attack. I'm quite impressed at the email updates keeping people informed
I know I like being informed and have records of my activity but I would like to start these challenges. It feel sorta like being stuck in the starting gate.0 -

Why are all the sub 20's clearly physique competitors?
Because the human female evolved for childbirth and any bf% below 20 is not optimal for that job. Reminding myself of this biological fact and of how awful I looked at 7.5% and 138 lbs keeps me sane.
Yeah that makes sense, I just find the charts hard to follow as a result though ykwim? I have a bodybuilder friend whose opinion was 18% and that Navy calculator gave me about the same so I think I'll just say 20% and aim for what looks more like 18 on the charts I guess, I'm never going to be a figure competitor though lol. It's one of those "my legs are 15%, my stomach is lmao%" situations -_- .
On the positive side I survived cross training day
I told someone at the gym the other day that I have a permanent baby belly. My abs will never be as strong as they were before 4 kids.
Despite the world's biggest baby bump (for a singleton) I am pretty sure everything closed up fine and I still have abs under my baby belly, it's just they're nicely covered up by lots of stretched skin and fat. I could lose the fat (and hope to) but it will make the stretched skin look worse. It's been a year, I think I'm going to have to accept it's not going to magically snap back! Oh well, I was never a bikini model anyway.
Evan before babies I always had a pouchy stomach.0 -
Happy New Year's Eve everyone. It's going to be a long day unless I take a nap. Got up early, for no reason really. Started some black eye peas for later and started some wash going. I hate house cleaning. It is never ending. Looking forward to my vacation in February when I don't have to constantly clean my house. I may just burn it down when I get back. I know no one will have cleaned before I get home.
This is too funny. Hire a cleaning lady. Best investment ever.
I think she would be scared off the first day...
Mine too. I just have so much stuff that needs to be done, I get overwhelmed and don't do anything, or very little. I currently have a sink full of dishes and I can't stand looking at them, but I don't want to spend my free time cleaning the kitchen. It's a horribly vicious cycle.
I should put a bed in my kitchen. I spend way too much time in there. The sink should have a small depression from where I stand and we have a dishwasher....I just hate waiting for it to get full before running it.
How many days does it take to fill your dishwasher?
It should only take one or two, I just get aggravated when I find dishes piled up in the sink that my family has left there and the dishwasher is not two feet to their left.
Been there myself. Sorry.0 -

But you got a sweet baby to make up for it!
Not such a baby anymore - he will be one in less than 2 weeks and is so close to walking. Where did 2016 go!?
Next thing you will know you will see them in the swimming pool and wonder how they got to be 15 and When did they grow such a manly chest.3 -

MissKalhan wrote: »Happy New Year all! I'm floating around, Christmas was pretty uneventful (just the two of us and Emmabear). We watched Rouge One and then marathon the rest of the Series, I am heartbroken over Carrie Fisher's death. As a giant geek as well as someone who has a mental illness she was and still is someone I admire greatly, her tenacity on and off screen is inspiring.
NYE I was sick and in bed by 8pm with a fever and the flu. I finally feel human thank goodness!
So yesterday I started off 2017 with a bang, did my legs workout. PR'd my sumo dead lift, 155lbs (over body weight), 8 reps for 4 sets.
I'm so glad you are feeling better.
There were several Star Wars cast members that died this year. Carrie Fisher was the most prominent. It was sad how quickly her mother followed her.0 -
Great news everyone!
My dad admitted to me that he knows that I've been cooking diabetes friendly stuff for him lately. He told me that he was afraid of being put on a diet or 1100 calories like his dad was when he was diagnosed with diabetes. I pointed out that nutritional medicine has come a long way since then and said that I've been cooking stuff that's good for him already so it's hardly 'a diet'.
I went online and showed him his maintenance and 2lb/week calories (over 2k) and offered to help him. Then, he told me that I could set up an account for him on here if I wanted! He said he'll give it a try just logging and see if he likes it!
In other awesome news, I'm finally out of the 240's! I'd been struggling to get past them all last month and today I weighed in at 239
Awesome news all around!1 -

Is there some reason you can't ask everyone to bring their own snacks? That's how my gaming group works. Unless it is just my family, then I do it all. Is this your first time as DM?
ETA: what are you planning to run?
I've asked them to bring something if they can, but it feels rude to not have something on hand when they get here since it's going to be an all-afternoon thing and I'm the host. And yeah, it's my first time as DM, which is making me fairly nervous already since everyone else is a fairly experienced player and I'm meeting one of them for the first time tomorrow.
I'm just trying to do a run around my neighborhood. Nothing major though-- 4 minutes walk/1 minute jog. I'm hoping to work up to C25k by mid-February or March
I have never played D&D but find it interesting.....hope it went well!1 -
@LenGray - thanks for the quesadilla recipe. I made a batch for this week at work. My sweet potatoes must have been bigger than they expect. I made six, but still had filling for probably another six!! I switched out the green bell pepper for an orange I had on hand. Very tasty. I topped them with a mix of salsa verde and a Tbsp of sour cream mixed. Upped the flavor factor for sure. Have fun with D&D!!
This took me a second to realize you meant an orange bell pepper and not an actual orange......1 -
That's what I think when my son gets in trouble. Do I really want to punish myself like that?!? Sometimes it's necessary, and sometimes it's not worth it!0 -

Until the 13th. I plan to finish one every day. Otherwise, the boredom may kill me.3 -

Yeah, now that you bolded it, it does sound that way! That would have been a strange taste to put in there.2 -

I'm procrastinating at work and fancied a blast from the past, so looked back to the beginning of the thread to see how long before I joined in. It took somewhat longer than I imagined - page 71! I confessed to not owning up to the weight management nurse that she had me down as an inch taller than I really am because I didn't want my BMI to go up!
Some of you are in there much earlier than me, like Susi, Mo and CrosbyLee. Mo's first confession involves Dr Pepper. Of course!
What did I say?0 -
I should be working. Shhh. Don't tell my boss.3

Let's have a little fun today with a poll question.
Which would you choose:
A. A pill that you could take and be shredded INSTANTLY for a day but you must continue your normal dietary intake.
OR
B. have a pill that allowed you to eat AS MUCH AS YOU WANT for a day and maintain your current weight.
Give me your votes!0 -

Hmmm, decisions, decisions! I don't eat crazy low calories now, so I guess I'll go with A1 -

A. I'd take the pill just before Vegas!2
