It's an investment!
This! What shoes did you go with? I'm still holding off on buying the wraps, knee sleeves and singlet. I found out April's comp may be cancelled, we are 10 weeks away and the registration still isn't open so I may be pushed back to July
I got inov-8s, because I couldn't justify $400 for a pair of Romeleos...
Got them for $80. And a Titan singlet, and knee sleeves. I'm gonna need a second job.
Those are beautiful! I got myself some Adidas powerlift 2.0 a few months back, they help a ton with squat and bench!
So, @MissKalhan, the inov8s were too small (and they were beautiful ) and they didn't have anything bigger. So, now I've ordered Pendlays...(which, of course, cost more )

Yes, but you will get full use out of those shoes, I have no doubt. I imagine they will be worth every penny.0 -

Squat shoes have a raised heel to help with ankle mobility. I have terrible flexibility in my ankles (I learned Friday from my trainer). He had me put my heels on 5 lb weight plates and then squat. HUGE improvement! So the squat shoes do the same thing. For me, I had actually been doing the wrong thing by wearing Chucks. Total depends on the person, though.3 -

Yah, I found that lifting shoes was a hit and miss. That's why I bought them in store, I didn't trust trying to find them online and dealing with the stupid weird sizing.
My belt and I had the same issue, currently waiting to get my replacement back from their shop in the US. I went from a medium to a small which is sick.3 -

For the BCPA (I believe that's the acronym), as long the foot is flat on the floor you're fine. You're even allowed platforms (5lbs plates under your feet). Let me know what the ruling is, I'm curious!0 -

So poor Emma on Friday strained her back at some point, we went to the emergency vet that night because she kept yelping as she tried to lay down etc. She is on anti-inflammatory meds and "bed rest" - can I just say trying to get a pit bull/lab mix to lay still is like getting a child hyped up on sugar to sit still. Poor girl is breaking my heart
Awwww. I hope she feels better soon!0 -

Mo, I put you in the 'low steppers' but let me know if you want to do the other group or both.
Everyone else let me know if you want me to change anyone else up this week!
If anyone is missing and wants to join let me know.
Way to go nicci! You've really gotten a lot the last few weeks.
Haha thanks. The 2017 mileage challenge is really making me move, but I'm not sure if I can keep this up, it's interfering with work a bit.
I should probably change groups though? Particularly as I was an advocate of high/low groups. I can change back when I drop back (as is inevitable)
I've only done 88 miles so far x12 that leaves me 961 short. Once the weather picks up I'm sure the mileage will to.
ETA I'm doing additional miles. I'm not counting my daily mileage. So if I go on my bike I will add that, but walking around the office day-to-day doesn't count. Have I just made my life really difficult?
I'm tracking running independently so I get it. I'm on track with regular walking, etc. Because of the barn on weekends. I'm completely failing if I just track running.0 -

I'm not quite back to running yet. I think I'm too heavy for my knees to cope, I get a shooting pain in the back of the knee even if I walk too fast. Bike and swim seems to be helping it a lot though. I want to try running again in April-ish.3 -

I want to go to my local 24 Hour Fitness and see how busy the pool is after work. I think it would do my body good to get back to swimming. I like to swim and just don't have many opportunities to do it. It would be nice to not have to swim in a pool full of people.3 -

I have to get up early to swim before work. I think the incentive is that my mum swims at the same time and I know I'll get a telling off if I don't go! She badgered me for ages before Christmas when I stopped.
Swimming is a great all-rounder, plus I find it quite meditative. I work a lot of stuff out in my head when I go swimming. I imagine a lot of people would say the same about running.0 -

Yeah, I could run last year when I was 30lbs lighter so I know I can, I just got to get my weight down.
Sounds quite disgusting that I put on 30lbs over a year and a bit.0 -

Blue raspberry, and it's pretty good.2 -
I've switched to oatmeal for breakfast (again, to get those freaking carbs up). Tuesday I tried it mixed with chocolate protein powder and 1.75 tablespoons of peanut butter - not bad. Yesterday was cinnamon bun protein powder and almond butter - not good.
Last night at the gym they were clearancing out their single pack Quest protein powders, so I bought them all for $20. Which included 4 packs of the banana. I hate banana flavored things. I like bananas, but banana flavored?
So, I thought I'd eat those first and get rid of them. Banana Quest protein powder and peanut butter in oatmeal? Freaking delicious. Who knew?4 -
Here's the finished product of our attempt at homemade tempeh! Last night I fried it up with some garlic, pepper and salt.
We have two more bags in the freezer for sometime next week as well, I think the next time we make some I'm going to find a better form mold for it so it won't crumple as much.1 -

In the first picture, I thought you had it sitting on the top of your toilet tank.
How was it?1 -
I sneak at work and brush my teeth after lunch so that I'm not tempted to snack with everyone else. The woman at work like to bake and order food and bring in cookies, nuts and chips - they are eating non-stop and it drives me crazy. I keep my headphones in so they won't ask me if I want something because I don't want anyone to know I'm counting calories - I just want them to notice in a few months6

It was really good, as long as you season it well it tastes great. I think the next time I'm going to season it with this maple bacon flavouring I found2 -
