A guy at work was telling me how he waited for a shuttle for an hour for a 3/4 mile trip to his hotel, and then how he was using the elevator to go down 2 floors, and I judged him...

That is definitely needing more explanation as Mel said. Lots of luggage = shuttle/elevator

    Or some sort of disability.
..... or maybe yesterday was leg day?

Now I wanted to punch or tell the person to just shut the **** up yesterday at the grocery store. Wal-Mart started to carry Halo Top for way cheaper than Giant (a local grocery store) so I stocked up! As you guys know I'm a hoarder when it comes to food (I'm trying to at least eat what I have now until I run out) & he had the gall to say eating all of that will have you looking like me & getting diabetes. I never comment on what people are buying as a customer & only comment as a cashier when I can tell they're having a party or just small chitchat, but never make rude remarks of what they're buying to eat. I just made some remark that it's low sugar & low calorie to eat the whole pint since I don't have much restraint with Ben & Jerry's, Haagen Dazs, & Talenti right now.

Now I will question in my head when someone buys stuff like a shovel, duct tape, & other things a serial killer might use haha.

Really that is non of his business. Iy was very rude anyway.

The other day hubby and I had to wait in town because I had an appointment. We decided to go to central market to eat I had chicken and grilled vegetables.
The girl at the cash register said " Oh my God 10 dollars you could just get the vegetables and take them home and grill them and it would be so much cheeper."
Really? Perhaps I would if I were going home. I wonder what her manager would say about her advice.

I log things like stretching and let myself eat back all the calories even though I know the calorie burns from MFP are ridiculous. That's for days I need a little extra flexibility, e.g. if I've gone out and had a drink or two.

My other confession is that occasionally I've had extra cals after midnight and logged them for the next day.

I basically have done both of these things as well!

Ouch! I don't care if it is semi-normal that has got to hurt.

I was craving something sweet the other night but had absolutely nothing in the house that would satisfy me except some hot chocolate. So I ate two spoonfuls of the powder. Two spoonfuls. Of the powder.

Did that taste as disgusting as it sounds?

It's actually pretty delicious I have done this frequently when there are no sweets in the house!

For those that enjoy Halo Top ice cream check your local Wal-Mart, because my local Super Center is starting to carry the brand!

I bought all of the Birthday Cake (my favorite), a few of the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, & one of each of the Caramel & Peanut Butter flavors. The Peanut Butter flavor was amazing & reminded me of the Talenti Peanut Butter Pretzel flavor minus the pretzels.

I'm definitely buying it at Wal-Mart from now on since it's $4.69 & at Giant it's $5.99. Since it's cheaper from time to time I'll buy the Vanilla & Mint (more boring flavors) when I feel the need to inhale one of those flavors.

Local stores Giant & Weis are starting to also carry Enlightened (another low calorie ice cream) & I love the Triple Chocolate, Red Velvet, & Birthday Cake.

Once I learn moderation again & don't feel like inhaling the whole container at once then I'll start buying Turkey Hill, Ben & Jerry's, & Haagen Dazs when those brands are on sale & not buy the more expensive containers as much.

I requested it at our local Kroger and it has done so well since then, they now carry almost every flavor they make!! Probably not all me but I will take the credit.

for those who like halo top ice cream what flavor is the best?

I would have walked but that is just because I am incredibly impatient and like to think that at least I am moving toward the goal.
I don't think it is wrong to wait especially if you are wearing uncomfortable shoes( I would say that would be poor sedition making) but to complain about it is silly.

I like the sea salt caramel and the chocolate. I haven't tried them all yet. I do want to try the Enlightened. I haven't found it yet... :|

Confession: I took my last anti-anxiety pill this morning, tomorrow I am going to be officially unmedicated for the first time in just over two years. I'm one part excited and one part terrified.

Best of luck. My folders and toes are crossed for you to stay off of them.

Auto correct wins again! Unless Mel is really gong to cross her folders :p

There are enough of them at my desk to do that, but I did mean fingers. Earlier today I sent my husband a text and it corrected something to "lifting chicken"

Lifting chickens would be very hard.... ;)

I had a mental picture of the chicken trying to deadlift, actually.

    I like your version better!
I confess I am a horrible aunt since last week I was feeding Sarah some kind of chicken & noodles meal & she turned her head while I was trying to give her a spoonful & jabbed her in the eye.

She looked at me like WTF Aunt Kelly? If looks could kill I would've been dead on the spot.

Am I bad person for laughing? haha

I laughed too which I think made her look at me even angrier. Who knew babies could give such evil looks.

Me, but I have had 4 of them.

You should tell them that you want Enlightened too! Some of the flavors are hit or miss but the Caramel Cookie Crunch & Red Velvet are amazing. The Triple Chocolate & Birthday Cake is alright.

I think at the moment I like Enlightened more since I've tried more of the flavors, but I seem to like the Halo Top Birthday cake more since I'm used to that flavor over the Enlightened.

We buy ours at costco and always have a few on any trip we take. It helps me to keep drinking. I also have a 32 oz water bottle at my bedside and drink it when I get up. It is hard for me to remember to drink unless it is infant of me. I don't realize I am getting dehydrated until I have a headache that crosses my eyes.

I work with two women that I judge every single workday for not being able to walk from the elevator to their desk without stopping. If they didn't both have diabetes and eat powdered donuts or candy bars daily, I wouldn't. But I cannot understand knowing that your eating habits are badly affecting your health and refusing to change them. It's such a fixable problem.

I don't know. At our hospitals, we have signs that say "A quiet space is a healing space. Please use ear buds in waiting areas." There are some that say "please speak softly" and "please do not raise volume on TVs" after that too.

Holy crap is this guy for real? His voice is amazing! For those of you in England is Tom Bleasby a huge star over there? This is what the radio needs nowadays. I somehow happened upon this performance on the Smule karaoke app then had to Google him since I realized he had released a single.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1QYbfDpy6lY

The lady in the video is also talented, but the guy's voice blew me away.

Good thing I'm not celebrating Lent... I just had 6 Bluebird chocolates and 5 Dove hearts. Off to log it. :/

My eating is out of control...

I'm not sure "celebrating" is the word for Lent, but I appreciate the sentiment. I have kept Lent for all of my adult life and this is the first year I have really wanted the thing I gave up. I have a candy problem when I am stressed.

I am dying to watch movies, if that helps any. I don't even remember the last time I went so long without a movie! I always crave what I gave up....if I do, it was not much of a sacrifice, right?

I always want it, so I spoke badly, but I never seriously consider having it and this year I am. It's a combination of stress about my job and lack of sleep due to working overtime to reduce the stress at my job. I keep hearing this tempting little voice, "chocolate would wake you up." it is not true. Only sleeping 7 hours a night helps, but I'm feeling weak with 11 days left.

    YOU CAN DO IT
