Confession Time! ((ABSOLUTELY NO JUDGEMENT))

I think I successfully logged everything I ate yesterday. I can't think of any sneaky treats that I've forgotten about.
So, I currently have a one day streak of logging everything I ate. Maybe I can make it two days today?!?2 -
Think I will wait until after this trip to Austin to start logging. It's a girls' weekend for my niece's bachelorette.3

I installed a period tracker so I could keep better tabs on the voracious appetite that the Mirena has given me. At least I can try and proactively eat at maintenance during that time instead of engaging in binge-type behavior.
Good news: Weighed in at 151.6 this morning, which is the lowest I've seen in a month. Pretty happy and motivated and hoping I can keep up the downward trend. I have a race in a week, which means I'll keep a teeny tiny deficit, if at all. I'd LOVE to see sub 150 on the scale sometime in April. I think I can do it.8 -
Ugh! I weighed in at 179.8 yesterday morning. I'm so angry at me. Then later it occurred to me that I have to do my employee health stuff some time in May. I have got to get this weight back off to keep the lowest insurance premiums.
I have planned my meals for the next 4 days with the aim of being 175 by the 20th of April. We'll see.
I know that some of it is stress and not sleeping well, but I can't make my dad well and as long as he is sick, I probably won't sleep well. It's a vicious circle.4 -

You forgot to say you hit ONE HUNDRED POUNDS lost, @fitoverfortymom!!!

Two day streak of logging EVERYTHING, and I was only 6 calories over yesterday.7
-
I am slowly coming down. Last few weeks I have been dropping one pound a week. I don't really feel like I am trying either. If this continues, better make some check up appointments.5

OMG. I am 1.4lbs away from my original goal (and of course I want 5 more vanity lbs on top of that). BUT HOLY COW 100 LBS IS SO MANY LBS!!!6 -
My usual Friday Body Pump class was cancelled because the instructor quit. Usually they have someone to plug in, but not today. I did a high incline walk on the treadmill, but didn't quite get the buffer calories I wanted. The weather is a ball of suck, but I put on my warm running pants and just banged out a quick 3 miles. I'm gonna show that baked potato with cheese and green chili that I mean business.5

I confess that I am tired of my dad ending up at the ER every Sunday. Witnessed TIA and possible heart attack yesterday. I need someone to tell me what these dufuses took him off Plavix without adding baby aspirin.4
-
Sorry about your dad Mel, that's awful. I'm glad he's got you looking out for him at least.
I did not eat well today! But I did log. Small mercies.1 -

Happy Friday the 13th everyone! I'm super chipper this morning. It may be the caffeine, but I hope it lasts through the work day.2

Obviously, you don't work at a hospital. Crazy this morning already.2 -

That would be why I'm in a foul mood. I hadn't thought of that.2 -
It's race day eve.
Confession: My diet is super not on point at the moment. Not worrying about it until after the race. Well, I'm worrying about it before the race and all the time really. I'm going to DO something about it after the race. Well, after the post-race MEAL I will do something about it.5 -

Thank you! Finished around 11am. Took me 3.5 hours and ran 15.1 miles with just under 2k elevation gain.5 -
Confession:
It's been a trying few days (weeks/months) of crappy sleep and a baby who doesn't want anyone but me and my boobs. I'm feeling pretty frazzled, pretty constantly. I ran out of terrible stress food, so I've eaten the chocolate chips out if the baking cupboard. Like a sneaky sneak too, didn't give Andrew any! They're dark chocolate, so this doesn't really count right?
Baking supplies, for when spoonfuls of hot chocolate powder don't cut it anymore!3 -

For what it is worth, we had yogurt parfaits at a breakfast meeting Friday. Dark chocolate chips were a choice for your parfaits.
Sleepy wishes for Ellie's contentment coming your way.3 -

I’ve done that! Chocolate -in any form-is sometimes the only answer.2 -

I've definitely done that..which is exactly why I can't keep baking ingredients in the house.2 -
@spamarie pass the chocolate chips. My dad fell sometime in the night last night... We can't stay with him 24/7 and this is getting dangerous.3

Man, I’m sorry, Mel. I hope a solution presents itself.0 -

The solution is a nursing home/assisted living or a full time home aide. The VA will pay for the nursing home. He would have to pay for the home aide.

Is a home aide not cheaper than going to a home?? Seems like madness. We had to put both my grandfathers in a home eventually, and it truly was the best decision (they both had dementia and it was putting a big stress on my grandmothers). Every situation is different of course. I hope you find a solution that helps.0 -

It is madness, Spam, but it's also the US government. Madness is what they do.2
