Trying to buy tickets for the Red Sox vs Yankees playing in London in the summer. I've been in a 'queue' for 35mins. I don't think I'm getting the tickets am I? :(

    I hope so!

No, they all sold out. I'm actually pretty upset about it. :confounded:

That sucks!!! I'm bummed for you.

Hopefully they will do another game in 2020. Not had a good year for American sports. NBA sold out and now the MLB. We have season tickets for the NFL, so unless we choose not to update them we will always get first pick. Although, apparently there are 4 games next year, that'll be pricey. :#

I bet you could make your money back on them if you went to 2 and sold your tickets to the other 2.

I have a feeling the t&cs of having a season ticket is that you can’t sell them on. I might get away with friends and family

Maybe. I don't know the NFL T & Cs. I know that people sell single game tickets for nearby college games on our work classifieds all the time. I am going to try to get Mississippi State v University of Tennessee tix there next football season.

Well I know we have touting laws, but that applies to bulk buying. If they are one off tickets I would but we are classed as season ticket holders and I have a suspicion that getting caught selling them off would have consequences. Likelihood is slim though. If you fancy coming over one year, just give me a shout :+1: we can get up to 6 tickets

Ooh... I will have to let Denni know you have offered. I would love to do two or three weeks in Great Britain as a vacation.

My husband has the exact same (boring!) breakfast every day. When we go on holiday he lives life on the edge and has a slice of toast too!

I must ask what his go to breakfast is?

Two bowls of two Weetabix in milk with bran and sweetener on top. He's truly living the rock and roll lifestyle.

I confess I don't think I've ever had a butter cookie..and I'm thinking it should stay that way.

Also, my typo of Anne-Marie's name up there is driving me crazy :s

Ha I don't mind. My name is so consistently misspelled, it's nice to see a new variant!

Hey, Spam, how's the sleep training?

It's going ok. We've had more tears than I'd like, but we're starting to get more sleep than we've ever had. So I'm overall optimistic. Ellie slept for six solid hours last night!! Of course I woke up every time she stirred even the tiniest bit, but that's still the longest sleep I've had in over a year.

I used to be such a heavy sleeper. My husband can sleep through any amount of screaming but the slightest baby shuffle wakes me. Will I ever sleep deeply again?

    Never

Once a woman has children, she spends the rest of her life listening to what is happening while she is sleeping....

Well. That is impressive and ominous all at the same time.

It's so, so true. Before kids, I was such a heavy sleeper, I literally slept through an earthquake, only briefly rising to tell my husband to stop messing around (he does rock my world but not that literally). Nowadays the children only have to think about crying and I'm twitching myself awake.

That is what lots of season ticket folks here do. They usually sell them to friends and family and not through a resale site. They never take long to sell.

Well, ticket-wise they go on sale in January for that year, so 2019 go on sale in Jan.

I’m off on a sick day today. I left work early yesterday because my balance has gone a bit off. If I turn my head in one direction it feels like I’m still turning. Unless I’m an owl I think my cold has gone to my inner ear. Driving home in the dark wasn’t much fun yesterday so I chose not to go in today.

This happened to Tyler and he missed two days of school.

I burnt the crap out of my tongue on my first sip of coffee this morning. So, now I'm crabby because my tongue hurts and I haven't had any coffee (it's still too hot. Darn HydroFlask.)

Do you all see this policewoman encouraging petty theft? Do you?! At the very least she is tryi g to get me in trouble with Santa.

I could move it to the break room sink, I guess. That's not actually stealing...

Does England ever have contests on the radio like they do in the US that you can call in to win a ticket?

I have zero Christmas spirit this year and I just want to buy stuff for myself. How's that for a confession?!

That's pretty much what I've done so far. Purple winter coat, 30% off- it's mine. Hootie and the Blowfish Tour- ticket bought. Bicycle gear on clearance- mine. I'm sure there's more.

Oh wait, I did buy Sami a microwave for her new place.
