Hey, anyone ever watch Supermarket Sweep back in the day? That show was awesome.

Yes! Wasn't there another store game show that was in a mall? Or maybe not a mall, but had different department stores?

I confess that I used to hate watching America's Most Wanted & any of the 48 Hrs. murder kind of shows when I was younger, but I love the ID Channel now!

List of shows I watched growing up. Remember, no judgement.

    Full House
    Family Matters
    Clarissa Explains It All
    Step by Step
Home Improvement (Jonathan Taylor Thomas was my TV boyfriend)
    Tales From The Crypt
    Fraggle Rock
    Dinosaurs (Not the Mama)
    Hey Dude
    Darkwing Duck
    Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers
    BH 90210
    Roseanne
Boys Meets World (How hot did Topanga grow up?!)

This is not a complete list, my brain just can't think of anything else right now. I may have been allowed to watch a little too much TV growing up.

    This is my list too...

I loved the TGIF set of shows. Oh Perfect Strangers was another show I liked as well.

I confess that it always ticks me off when sitcom shows either age characters out of the blue or write them off with no explanation.

    An example:

Judy on Family Matters was the middle child for a few seasons, & the next season she disappeared without a mention.

Bill Cosby was arrest around the time my mom decided to make more tamales. She told me she remembered when I made her watch it with me before I had to leave for school.

I loved Perfect Strangers! I wish they still had TGIF and things like that. The stuff they have now is SO lame.

    I loved perfect strangers too!

How about Bosom Buddies??? The young Tom Hanks in drag!!

    I remember Bosom Buddies!!

How about Charles in Charge?? AWESOME show!
    Mr. Belvedere? (sp?)
    ALF?

    I remember Charles In Charge!

Scott Baio, John Stamos, & Mario Lopez hardly ever age.

If we're going with childhood favorites, where are my teenage mutant ninja turtles lovers at?

    He-Man!
    Smurfs
    Snorks
    Ren and Stimpy

My sister and I used to get in knock-down drag-out fights after school because I wanted to watch Scooby Doo and she wanted to watch Mr Rogers. Mom made us take turns.

    To add to this list:
    Gem
    Rocko's Modern Life
    Tiny Toons
    Thundercats

Does anyone remember Garbage Pail Kids?!

    Loved it!

And for the younger gang, my kids were always watching:

    CatDog
    Rugrats
    Hey Arnold
What was that dare thing where everybody always got covered in slime?

    Lizzy McGuire
    Even Stevens

    I loved Even Stevens!!

Going a little more old school than that...

Anyone watch Pete and Pete? Salute Your Shorts?

More shows I watched (some I vaguely remember watching)

Eureka's Castle (I know I watched this one growing up, but can't remember much about it)
    Salute Your Shorts
    Hey Dude
    Punky Brewster
    Blossom
Mickey Mouse Club (the one with Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez, Britney Spears, & Ryan Gosling was even on the show)
Mama's Family (it's funny that Betty White plays the daughter when she's older)
    Growing Pains

I remember going to the babysitter's house & she would watch all the old game shows on the Game Show Network like Match Game (that host looked & acted so pervy), Name That Tune, & To Tell The Truth. I'm pretty sure she watched Price Is Right every morning too.

I watched Eureka's Castle (but didn't really like it) and Growing Pains.
Growing Pains was good until Leonardo DiCaprio showed up.

Just as bad is when an actor/actress quits and so they replace them in the next season with someone who doesn't even look remotely the same.

Randomly a few weeks ago my 30-year-old sister busted out "I'm Boney I'm Boney leave me aloney!" That's the only thing about that show that I remember.

A stupid trivia fact I know:

The guy who voiced the baby dinosaur in Dinosaurs was the voice of Elmo.

I played Oregon Trail and Carmen Sandiego, and Mo's list has stuff I know on it! I loved Full House and Boy Meets World too and I watched Home Improvement with my dad, who is pretty much a less-disaster-prone Tim Allen in real life which is I think why he liked it so much.

Tangent: Later on, I remember my dad watching That 70s Show and saying "No, no, never mind Home Improvement, THIS was my life! I was Eric Foreman!" to my mom and I. He was in his mid-teens at the beginning of the 70s and he's never identified so closely with a TV character, it's pretty cute.

I've never seen a TV character I felt that way about, but I do think that the movie Superbad was probably the closest thing to my high school experience (barring the McLovin stuff, haha.) I feel like I knew those guys and they showed up at my friends' parties.

This particular plot of that movie made me laugh until I could not breath.
