My MIL passed away sometime yesterday in her sleep. My FIL found her today. They were divorced, but friendly. He had called her several times with no call back so he stopped by the house she was living in and found the door unlocked and her on the couch in full rigor. She kept the AC at 65 and all of the clocks were blinking. The power went out in our neighborhood at 6:13 yesterday for about 15 seconds so I think she never woke up yesterday morning. (we live in the same neighborhood, but I hadn't spoken to her since November. My hubby has not spoken to her since January of 2016.)

Oh no, I'm so sorry Mel! At least it was in her sleep? That is a pretty good way to go in my opinion.

So, air conditioner still isn't fixed and it's supposed to be 98 degrees F tomorrow. That almost 37 degrees C, for you celsius people! I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to sleep. Seriously considering a hotel for the night.

The repair man comes today at 11:30. Praying for a quick, relatively cheap fix!

    $5200 :'(:#

OMG, no way! That's insane! :s

Right?!? Hubby called me to tell me. He was super grumpy at me, but I know it was about the $$$.

You could use it as a sauna for the summer, I guess, but if you don't fix it now, you'll all freeze.death next winter. Bite the bullet and get it fixed.

    Oh, it's getting fixed today. 98 degrees F (37 C) here tomorrow.

    Oh, okay, too late

Spent the morning at field day for my daughter's school and all the kids kept asking me, 'Are you Olivia's mom?' She looks just like me and some of them know me from the daycare. After two hours of that, I went to the store. We were out of bread, milk and Bride's cake ice cream. :# Should have left that right where it was. It's so goood. I came home and made some tuna salad for lunch, then proceeded to eat too much ice cream. Now, I get to spend the weekend watching what I am eating, and moving more.

Ha this was me yesterday! Ate a full pint of B&J's vegan peanut butter and oreo cookie ice cream and a ton of chips. I feel bloated and I'm sooo gassy lmao

A pint of Ben & Jerry's is a single serving as far as I am concerned.

    You are correct!

Dittoing here and this is how Victoria came to weigh more than 200lbs :#

And Tami 195 lbs... a whole pint of Ben and Jerry's pretty much every night. Plus candy and Flamin' Hot Cheetos.

I'm not even telling y'all how much of a champ I had to be to get to 250lbs :D

I shudder to think at some of the binges I had when I was around 300 pounds.

Thanks, Y'all. I am happy for her that she didn't suffer, but this is the birth giver, who left my husband with her mother to raise. She has spoken to each of us once since the grandmother who raised him died in October 2015. She hasn't even bothered to send my kids birthday cards. Today I will call the funeral home and make an appointment to write her obit and pick a box for her ashes. If her sister weren't in Hawaii on vacation, I wouldn't do that. (Apparently changing her return ticket would cost more than her round trip cost. I hate airlines.)

Maybe not caring makes me a bad person, or maybe she just finally pushed hard enough that we stayed out of her life for good so I have no reason to care. All I know is that my husband's aunt asked me to do this so I will.

I don't think you are a bad person for not caring. I can think of a few people I wouldn't care about if they shoved off permanently. I hope Hubby is okay though?

I was wondering if this was the birth giver. I know you all were not close and I am sure the aunt appreciates what you are doing. You are a good person to take care of that, even when it isn't your responisbility. It doesn't make you a bad person if that person has pushed you out and away, not much you can do.

    Nope.

Happy update - After getting the call from hubby telling me it was going to cost $5200, I prayed on the way home. I basically said, "God, we can cover $5200. It's gonna hurt but we can do it. I'm not asking for anything. I'm just turning this worry over to you." The repairman was still working on the system when I got home. Total bill when he was done? $1200. o:) God is good, all the time.

    Fantastic! Prayer works.

I slept terrible, and had to be up by 4:00 to meet my trainer at the gym by 5:00. Heavy deadlifts 5X5, lots of squats 4X12. So freaking tired...
