Porch kitty has turned into Assassin Kitty. 2 mice, 2 chipmunks, today a squirrel. It's escalating. Maybe serial killer kitty?

She is on a kill streak in whatever kitty game she is playing.

She added a mouse to the body count today. So, 3 mice, 2 chipmunks, 1 squirrel.

Up to 3 mice, 3 chipmunks, 1 squirrel

I return just so I can go on a week hiatus! Stomach flu :confounded: but anywho! Today is my baby's 3rd birthday  so sad!

I had that last week. It seems to be going around. Happy birthday to your daughter!

I had my birth options appointment this morning and boy did it take FOREVER!

I arrived at the hospital at half 9. It was 10.30 before I saw anyone (app was 9.45) and that was a nurse doing the usual obs. Which was fairly pointless since I have a midwife appointment tomorrow anyway, where all this stuff will be repeated. Then I sat in a corridor for half an hour. Then it was established some of the paperwork was wrong, so they fixed that. Then I waited another half hour. Then I finally saw a consultant who wasn't the one I was booked to see. We had a very insightful conversation and I made my views on giving birth clear. She disappeared for a bit to run this by the doctor I was supposed to see. They all agreed, and I am scheduled for a c-section!! Then I spent another 20 minutes booking various follow up appointments and getting lost trying to find the ultrasound department.

TLDR: CS booked, very relieved, 20 minute appointment took 2.5 hours.

Bummer on appt. But great on CS!

I went over my calorie allowance yesterday, having eaten with the intention of going for a run (including half a tub of frozen yoghurt...). Ended up getting a migraine and passing out before I could do that. :(

Migraine stinks. Hope you feel better. I know from experience that is miserable.

I confess that I *may* have put too much crushed red pepper on my chicken breast tonight. I sautéed the chicken in olive oil with tomato and green pepper and served it over brown rice.
Tamara (my 23 year old daughter) cried from the heat. :)

    It's a new day, it's a new dawn. You'll be okay!

Patricia, wear your seatbelt! Don't make me use my mum voice, I'm told it's a little scary. Otherwise, I hope your week gets better.

Busy week at work so far, which is a nice change. But between our home air conditioning breaking, the sprinkler system going on the fritz and the computer crashing, the home issues are driving me batty. No air conditioner equals little sleep, and I'm pretty frazzled.

I'm also trying to keep up with my new workout schedule my trainer gave me. In order to get everything done, I have to do 2-a-day workouts at least twice a week. So far, it's exhausting. I don't deal well with changes to my routine. It takes me a long time to adjust.

I'm still not sure I love my new bed. But I can't decide if my bad sleeping is because of the bed or the lack of air conditioning, or a combination of the two.

And...I fired my housekeeper this morning (wow, that sounds pretentious) . I'm not going to pay someone $27 an hour to do a half-*kitten* job. She only came in once every two weeks. But she didn't do dishes or "pick up." So I had to clean house before she came to clean house. What's the point?!? I think my previous housekeeper spoiled me. But she was a family friend and took really good care of us. I miss her!

I always clean before the cleaning lady comes. I always have so many clothes laying around I have to. Plus if I don't do the dishes she does then and puts them in weird places.

Bummer on everything else. My week was like that too. Was talking on a conference call coming back from my mom's on Tuesday, missed my exit, got pulled over in a spot check and got a ticket for not wearing my seat belt. Started the week that way and had a lot of annoying stuff lime that culminating in tackling my closet that turned into a disaster and what I thought would take 2 hours took over 5.5 and it's still not done. When I get back from this weekend trip to NC I'll have to get it finished. I own WAY to much stuff.

POF, wear your seatbelt! I've responded to too many crashes that would have been much less traumatic (or deadly) if the person was just wearing a seatbelt!

So, air conditioner still isn't fixed and it's supposed to be 98 degrees F tomorrow. That almost 37 degrees C, for you celsius people! I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to sleep. Seriously considering a hotel for the night.

Oh, and I finally tried Halo Top. Salted Caramel and Peanut Butter Cup. Honestly, they were OK, but for the price I'd rather just eat real ice cream. I can buy Ben and Jerry's for cheaper.

If I could contain myself to just a serving of B&J I would just eat real ice cream. Of course, this coming from the gal who went and bought more Blue Bell, but I have been limiting myself on that, so I guess I am getting better. I do have three pints of HT that I haven't opened yet because I have the BB.

I have soooo much ice cream in my house right now. LOL

1 pint of Halo Top - Cookie Dough (after eating 2 pints this weekend)
1 pint of Ben and Jerry's - Oat of this Swirled
3 gallons of Blue Bunny - 2 Cherrific Cheesecake, and 1 Super Chunky Cookie Dough
2 gallons of Tillamook - 1 Butter Pecan (for hubby) and 1 Cookies and Cream (for son)

    I think I have a problem... :D

If you ever get to Texas, we are going to set up a Blue Bell tasting party.

:astonished: Patricia naughty you!! I could never drive without a seat belt, it feels too weird.

Hopefully this week goes better for you.

Holy wow. I'm not even sure I have witnessed that heat. The last time I was too hot to sleep I cooled my feet down in the bath and I was able to finally drop off.

It amazes me you can buy gallon containers of ice cream in the states. When I first saw this on holiday, I was all, look I can fit my head in here! Probably best they're not available here. I think our freezers must be smaller, I don't know how I'd fit a gallon of anything in there.

This! Our freezers are tiny compared to America.

ACK! How long are these? Like two hours for the two or?
I know with Austyn (coach) our workouts can be 2-3+ hours pending on the training block we are in.

It's an hour in the morning, and between 1.5 and 2 hours in the evening. A lot of that is the pre-stretching and foam rolling I have to do for my wonky hips.

Ahhh okay! I was like that's a ton of lifting! We have stretching/foam rolling added in on your off days to help combat that lack of mobility issue.

Yeah. I "get to" foam roll and stretch every day. :/

Lol nothing wrong with that at all! I try to aim for at least 5 minutes or more after workouts. I have horrible ankle/hip mobility which is cause bambi knees during high weight squats and deads, it's slowly starting to work sorta hahaha

Is that where your knees bow in when you're coming back up from a squat? I didn't notice that issue during deads. My dead issue is not keeping my back flat. :grumble:

Yep. I have flat feet so I tend to go inward on higher RPE lifts, so there is a ton of hip/booty work I'm doing to try and "fix" the issue.
AHA you have Martin's issue! He hurt his back a few weeks back during deads because of this. Poor dude.
