What nobody tells you about losing weight

I've noticed that since I've been losing weight by eating healthy and drinking no sodas my skin has become softer and better looking and even though I've only lost 19 pounds my fat belly feels smaller. I've also noticed how much quicker I'm able to get up to do things.

that my tongue would look a little worse for wear from biting it so much when I hear people i know declare they are trying this new shake or fad diet.

I found the opposite happened to me. I had to replace all my underwear for smaller and it is much more comfortable.

That my pace when walking will get quicker and sometimes I'll feel like running instead of walking. Who would have thought??

hah omg so many times now ill be walking with someone and not realize how much they are struggling ill have felt like i was walking casually but aparently people need to like jog to keep up. my bad XD

Oh me too! I have no idea what size or style to buy but regardless I am forever pulling out the inevitible wedgie!

People will be oddly bold about asking what size you're wearing. Now that I've lost a significant amount, I have had a surprising amount of people comment and ask what size I am! Maybe it's just me, but I would NEVER ask someone, "you've got to be wearing an 8 or a 10 now, right?" Now it happens all the time.

I know they mean it as a compliment, but I'm old fashioned and think you should never ask a woman her size!

I put my weight loss back on and am working to lose it (and more) again BUT when I've had this happen I don't answer but flip the question back saying; oh it fluctuates, what about you?

I was always the one struggling when walking with my husband haha. Now I can keep up with him, but I have to slow down when holding my daughters hand lol.

1. Being so happy to wake up in the morning because i'm making positive changes for ME

On the flip side - watching people who had been bragging about their weight loss get passive aggressive to you when you finally start losing Not cool.

Oh and one more - having a hard time making the 'mind change' of adjusting to your new size. I still go to the women's 2X section and I wear a medium on a bad day. I've even bought the bigger clothes and been a little confused at first when they didn't fit right. Getting better though!

My wife is happier because I quit snoring. She told me once I was so quiet she checked to see if I was still breathing, lol.

I am still shocked how uncomfortable it is to sit on un-padded chairs and also in the bathtub now that so much of my butt fat is gone. Before I always had built in cushioning. I always smile a little inside when this happens even though it really hurt.

Even when you feel like you're in a rut, someone will notice/comment on your loss and it can remind you how far you've come

Also, having a hard time with this right now, you really can't lose weight then go back to old habits - and they creep up on you sometimes!
