    JFT, 10/25
:) 1. Stay within calorie goal
    :) 2. 10k+ steps or get in a workout
:( 3. Be patient with this process and stay positive

Started out good yesterday but then just hit a wall of discouragement and disappointment. Wanted to drown myself in margaritas and chips but went to the gym instead. Felt a bit better after that.

    JFT 10/26
    1. Stay within calorie goal
    2. Insanity Max 30 workout - last week of the program!
    3. Walk the dogs - done!

Good for you for turning the situation around. You've inspired me. ☺️

Call mom & catch up-grateful to have my parents in my life.
Start planning for a busy weekend.
    Resume, resume, resume!

    If not now....when?

The following is a mini self-intervention...

So, for the past several days I have really struggled with my choices. I haven't gone tooooo far over my calorie limit, but I have been eating candy and bread. I felt sick all night last night because the sugar and white flour are just not ok for me. Today I am hungry because that's what sugar does to me.

I don't want to throw the Halloween treats away, but I will if I have to.

I need to add a few extra J4Ts

    4. Stick to my pre logged plan
    5. Ask God for help if I am considering eating candy.
    6. Remember my motivation for sticking to my goals.
    7. Throw the treats away before you eat even ONE PIECE!

....We now return to your regularly scheduled program.

Step away from the candy! Or maybe you can just get candy that you don't like?

(I have never figured out why we end up eating and drinking stuff that's going to just make us feel bad. You'd think that would make it easy to avoid. But nope! I'm that way with alcohol. It makes me feel bad but I still love it.)

    Sending good thoughts your way!

That's what I need - a siren and a flashing red light. Step away from the candy and put your hands up!

My kids told me today, "Your the only one who likes candy corn anyway". So I am going to throw it away when I get home.

I keep a candy box at my office for my customers. It is ONLY filled with stuff I don't like.

It really does seem like it shouldn't be so difficult.

OMG - do I hear you here. My daughter love candy corn, and I do also. She has a little jar of it by her desk. Tonite, I got into it! But after a handful, grabbed my diet root beer - and going to stay away from it!

@bri170lb Kudos for the refocus. It's all too easy to get lax around festivals, but I always pay for it, especially now that my body is used to clean, healthy eating.

    @Saragirl2 :) Thanks!

@shrcpr It's a great NSV :) to resist the margaritas and chips. :star::innocent::star:

    Another good day.

Under my calorie goal and made good decisions

Continuing to grow in my patience levels.

Oh my goodness. I didn't realize I had been off the grid for so many days! I need a good kick in the butt!

I did really good yesterday, best day in a very long time. I didn't eat any junk food. Passed on the big bowl of candy (chocolate) left on my desk by my "Secret Spook" at work and brought it home. Brought home a "big cookie" left over from work lunch without taking one single bite and gave it to my husband. Skipped on sweets and no ice cream before bed...ate a bowl of Quaker Instant Oatmeal - Weight Control instead. Went to the gym (YES...THE GYM) last night and walked on treadmill for 30 minutes using the Cardio setting. Hit over 9000 steps on my FitBit Flex. That was a lot for me. I was sweating and my legs felt like rubber, but I did it! Sorry for the novel, but these are huge achievements in my world so I just had to tell someone!

    J4T (Wednesday):
    • Journal every single bite
    • Stay away from refined sugars again today
    • Do my best today teaching a new class and try to cut myself some slack if it doesn't go perfectly
    • Take 30 minutes of "me" time tonight before bed

Stay away from the poptart and donut type carbs even though they will make my sleep-deprived headache go away. Just suck it up and drink more water.

Oh, come on! That was just a nice short story. Yesterday I wrote my version of War and Peace! I probably should apologize for being so high maintanance but I'm not going to because I managed to pull out a really good day yesterday after several mediocre days in a row.

I love to read about everyone's struggles (so I know I'm not the only one) and everyone's victories (so I know there hope for me.

    Congrats on your awesome day!
