    my next door neighbours who cant park worth a damn! they leave gaps not quite big enough for anyone else to get into.Basically taking up 4 kerbside spaces with 2 cars. It makes me so mad when i come home to find I have to park halfway down the street, especially when I have been food shopping!

    True, but I am only familiar with Quebec. It's just so weird to me that in what is essentially one city, the law changes halfway through it.

    I am not expecting people to drive illegally

    but it is quite legal here in (most parts of) the US and it is very clearly marked at intersections where it is not
