    I confess that I never went to prom and no one asked me either! I felt like I missed out for a little bit, but got over it pretty fast :D

    I confess when people annoy me I sometimes walk away (or on here I stop posting) for a little while and other times I do my best to annoy them even more. And by annoy I mean subtle insults.

But me personally, if I were to find a woman attractive, pretty is only used in describing a specific thing, pretty smile, type thing......not just the casual brush over compliment that is reserved for everyone.....;)

    Yeah this is what I was getting at in a sense.

    Handsome = Toyota Camry of compliments for men.

    It's a sensible car that gets good gas mileage and has great resale. Not everyone can be a Ferrari.

    Well. Not meaningless to me. I have said your a handsome guy before, and I meant it. And also my mfp friend, with theee best kick@$$ food/activity log, many many times to my husband. And he agrees.
    My compliment was true, and although it's not on the same level you are reffering to & want, with the "sexy" or "hot" type of compliments, that's the highest level I stay with any guy, because I love my husband. He's the sexy hot guy in my life. Oh, theres a couple more... Billy Idol, Roman Reigns, on certain days I guess Rob Lowe. :)

    I confess I didn't read all the comments about liking and disliking certain compliments or meanings behind them or how to react to them... mostly because I can't relate. But also because there were so many.

    I confess I like to think of myself as someone who sees black and white, and is firm in their opinions... but oftentimes when I hear other perspectives it turns all gray. Sometimes I don't know what to think about things. And that bothers me. What does that say about me?

    Also...unrelated, but I don't really live in a trailer park if anyone saw my post in the selfie thread. I recently finished the S-Town podcast and so I'm just leaning into the typical Southern redneck stereotype, especially when combined with the camo and bullet jewelry I wear. Just me being silly on the internet.

    I think that just means you're open-minded.

    And I love the South for all the camo I get to see. It's like "Are they hunting right now, here in this store?"
