Just remember one thing. It's not just counting calories. It's the quality of those calories. Like avoiding all the fun places we go to. Starbucks, DD, McDonald's, etc. Those are very bad for you. Or just be sure to choose the lesser of all evils. Like fraps and lattes for just coffee. A Donut for an Egg White Sandwich.
If you feel like avoiding fun places, that is your path, and I support you 100%.

I would but you'd puke out the OJ or some other juice.

Well, you'd be better off if you just washed those calorie first.

Yes I've heard that thoroughly cleaning foods will remove 30% of the calories. It also helps remove those toxins. ( don't ask me which toxins though because I can't answer that )

I thought cleaning foods removed 40% of the calories, so I guess my intake logging in my diary is underestimated again.....

Yes @SLLRunner its probably very wrong. From now on, just clean all your food six times ( it'll remove the carbs and toxins) and then it will also remove 30% of the calories exactly .. Its a known fact

Once you remove the carbs you no longer have to count calories. Everyone knows low-carb means no calorie counting. <nods>

I don't count mine. I just weigh them all in cups, most some of the time. When I feel like it. Because that's the most accurate way. I just don't understand why I am not losing weight because I know I am eating 1200 calories and I am never hungry so I think I need to eat more. It must be starvation mode.

Starvation mode is a myth, much like CICO, IIFYM, LOTW and AFLAC (although I believe the duck is real). Also, the cake is a lie. You need to eat 42 small meals a day and eat them in accordance with the Fibonacci sequence. You may find this reference book helpful: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Da_Vinci_Code

Yes aflac is not real, but I have met the duck and he is very real ! We partied in Vegas together.. True story.

Do you count calories?
How thoroughly?
Does it seem to correlate well with weight loss / gain?
I've heard from one or two people that this might actually be how to lose weight.

I count calories but not to t
he exclusion of watching nutrition.

Nutrition trumps calories! I'm all about the twinkie and beer diet! You got the carbs, the fat and I'm not sure the protein fits in there but I'm sure it's somewhere. LOL

[Yeah I heard if you eat paleo - vegan and juicing then you'd be eating healthy so wouldn't need to count calories at all.
* throws food scale out the window* I'll just eat clean healthy foods, because they don't have calories !

Yeah but that's expensive and they use dangerous chemicals . why not just wash the calories in your washing machine with an all natural soap? I've also read vinegar can help. We can clean with it and it is believed to remove any extra carbs .

I tried that, but transferring rice to the dryer takes me a long, long, long, long, long, long time.

True. I can see how it would be a long process but the removal of all carbs and toxins and calories would be worth the labor to me. I'm actually squirting my pasta with the vinegar right now as a pre treat before I wash it.

Agreed, it's a lot of work, and I do miss the 223,739 calorie burn I got while doing it.

I've heard if you pre-soak your calories in the vinegar, preferably in a vat or cauldron, for about an hour it will increase the protein as well as removing carbs. It was on the Dr. Oz show.
Only if it involved distilled potato juice
Just last week a friend gave me a small bottle of " aceite de papa " ( potato oil ) from a reliable pharmacy here in Mexico City.
It is oil and it smells like potatoes, yet I could not find anything anywhere on the inter webs.

I never have seen anything about potatoes having oil ( unless of course they are fried ) and wonder if this not-so-cheap stuff is a hoax. I'll still use it on my heels...lol.
Or maybe the label is just badly worded and it should read " fried potato oil ".
But honestly, I can't get over the smell....that of freshly peeled potatoes. Maybe there is some oil cult I know nothing of....

You have just made me lol.
I totally didn't even think of all the calories burnt in this process. Is there an entry in the list of exercises for this? There should be. After all, they have pushing a grocery cart listed as a form of exercise! Lol !
And yes Dr oz is always correct. In fact, I'm wearing a Dr oz T-shirt right now and my life long goal is to appear in his live studio audience so I can see him in person and possibly get an autograph!

I created my own. Sadly, MFP won't recognize the burn as it puts me at -222,539 calories for the day. :(

Oh my goodness, a t-shirt, you lucky thang you!!! My friend's friend's mother's cousin's ex-wife's doctor was on his show and told me about it - Dr. Oz actually taught her the proper way to wash your calories (don't forget your gloves):

No. That is a picture of the actual physical form of Dr. Oz's lack of shame.

It is, at most, a 1:16 scale model of Dr. Oz's lack of shame.

In before the next "lose 20 before Halloween but not because of the costumes" shows up with color-coded tupperware for the Peep Cleanse.

Ha! You're like my husband. He'd choose a bagel over a donut every time. And the boobs over either one, no question.
