-get a new solid strength training routine down (working with a trainer now so it's much more organized)
-maintain surfing once/week (I've cut it down from 3x/week on purpose to make room for other exercises)
-strengthen my quads for better sprinting (already happening)
-explore more ocean spaces for swimming (always happening)
-relax more on what I eat... I've been too strict and would like to enjoy more foods (also already happening)
Larger goal:
-lose 5-6 more lbs of fat... or get to 25% body fat or less (ideally)... in progress!
I want to be able to run on the treadmill for 15 minutes w/o stopping by the end of the month. I can finally do 10 minutes!
So I tried this week and I was able to go for 15 minutes on the treadmill!!!!! Now I need to set a new goal but stick with the one I achieved for a couple weeks. Sometimes I guess I need to push myself and tell myself I can do it!
Goal of 5 pounds by Christmas. Oddly, the holidays do not cause me food stress because my self talk is so strong during these coming weeks. "your body is waiting just on the other side of your next choice"
My husband is out of the country for work and I haven’t seen him since June. He’ll finally come home in mid December and I’d love to have reached 165 by then. I’m 170 now and a slooooow loser so might not make it. But that’s my hope! Also , he doesn’t know I’ve been losing weight so it’s a surprise .❤️
So, I wandered off track a bit a couple of months ago (finishing my studies - yay - but lost my focus on diet etc for a while). Now back into it, and pretty much back to where I was before my detour.
So my goal (again) is healthy BMI!! Less than a kg away... I hope to see that this month.
And today's weigh in gives me a "healthy" BMI of 24.82! Yippee.
Next goal is being comfortable in my new smaller-sized jeans. They do up nicely and look and feel good from the waist down....but then there is the squishy muffin of my belly above the waistband. So, just planning on continuing to work away at my weight loss and hopefully that will improve soon.
I broke 200 this week. My most recent non-weight goal has been getting to family Thanksgiving and being the skinniest adult male there. Yes it's petty, but it's working.
My current mini-goal is to get to 140. I have 2 pounds to go. Can't do any strenuous exercise for the next two weeks b/c of minor surgery, but I'm still working on it.
My husband has been inspired and followed suit with me, tracking on MFP. He's not in the habit of doing it consistently yet and the app keeps logging him out, so that's discouraging to him. But he's been tracking numbers in his head and putting them in at the end of the day and he's been staying within his range or pretty close to it. I meal prep for the both of us and have all of the calories and macros saved into his MFP for him to make it easy, and I write them down for his mental tracking.
He's lost 14 lbs so far. He's so damn proud of himself, and I am, too.
He's even been running, or at least doing intervals. He HATES running.
My mini goal I guess it to keep pushing him and to keep pushing myself to keep being a source of inspiration for him. He doesn't "see" a difference yet, but I do.
it was a pipe dream last April when I couldn't breathe right and was in worst shape of my life @ 280 lbs PLUS, but I hit another mini/major goal today...I now weight 195 lbs and only 6 lbs away from NORMAL BMI. Truly Thankful!

Oh I like that! Might be my new mantra!
