What Mini Goal is motivating you right now!

Put on my fave jeans!17

On the cusp of Onederland, but what's motivating me more right now is that I want to give myself a slightly belated Christmas gift of "Vanilla Obesity" (last obesity class before becoming overweight). Hoping for right around New Year's for it (probably about a week after).11

I gave myself a few days of not going crazy but not really tracking either over the Thanksgiving holiday. But now I am aiming to drop a couple more pounds before hubby’s holiday work party on the 18th. Then I can coast for the week between Christmas and New Years, and then get back to tracking again in January.
I’ve gone from 163 to 135 since May, and having periodic break weeks where I stop cutting and eat around maintenance has been really good for both my hormones and my mental health!11 -
I really want to be under 210 by my kids ballroom competition this weekend. I am not sure I will make it as it is 2 lbs. I am going to keep it very tight this week and see what I can do!17

My mini goals are:
• fit into single digit clothing again I’m currently an 11/12
• reach 160lbs(start weight was 217, current weight is 179)18 -
Take a break and be okay in maintenance for a little while...!17

It took me over a month to lose the 1.2 lbs to get me to 100 lbs, but I did it!!! Next stop is to get into the 170’s...only 3.2 lbs to go.23

Achieved! Now 34% done with total
Still working on the BMI threshold for the surgery but very close - just 3 more lbs. Next mini-goal after that, find the patience needed until doctor gets back to me with next steps.
Grrrr....12 -
I'm inching closer to that 'magic' obese to overweight transition, 7,5lbs left!
Another mini goal is to have to add a notch to my belt, at the moment I'm between the last and one to last notch.10 -

Well done, I think that would feel like a wonderful transition and a great goal to reach indeed!
For me, my recent mental boost is because my total left to lose is now a two digit number rather than a three digit number. Something about it is just less intimidating, as silly as that may sound.13 -
I made it back to the 150's. My next mini-goal is 155, which will mean 25 pounds gone. If not next week, hopefully the week after.7

<--had to look up what a trifle is.
:explodes laughing:
(earlier in the thread someone mentioned feeling like a trifle wrapped in cling-wrap at a party)3 -
I am hovering around 231-232 the past few days, so my next micro-goal is to get below 230 and stay there for at least 3 days so I know it's "real".8

Mini Goal: learn to keep track of my rolling average weight instead of whatever bloated situation I happen to be on a given morning. On a more concrete level, my rolling average is now 99,5kg and there’s two weeks before Christmas, so I’d like to see the rolling average start with a 98 and preferably on the lower half, so below 98,5kg.8

My mini goal is to not only "survive" but truly enjoy the three days overnight hike I will be doing along with my boyfriend over the Christmas/New Year week.
We have done a large number of dayhikes this year, but this will be my first overnighter. Am looking forward to it, but cannot deny that I am a bit afraid as well.
At least I know I have 10kgs less bodyweight to carry around on me than during our last trip to the mountains (that was in September), so hopefully that will assist as well :-)7 -
My comments on jogging created a work's team for a half marathon and everyone else is much younger and fitter. I am determined to not be embarrassed by the finishing times.7

I am sure you will be rewarded for the 36 lbs not faulted for the 5 lbs. You will not lose 5 lbs of fat in 8 days, its just not possible to do in a healthy way. Since you have heart failure it's possible you may achieve your target *weight* if you are retaining water and are able to get rid of some of the excess. Pay close attention to your fluid balance and any diuretic meds you are taking if you have excess water on board.7 -

I agree, they'll be very happy to see a significant loss even if it isn't the total amount. They mainly want to see that you will put in the effort to live a healthy lifestyle.2
