Life is like steering a ship on the ocean. Constant adjustments.
It's the positive encouragement on here that keeps us coming back.

Here lately I have been doing jig-saw puzzles at night to keep my mind off of snacking and to keep my hands busy. It really has helped.

My goal is nothing after dinner that isn't raw fruit or veg. I've been pretty solid recently, but I'll start keeping track today.

Hungry day yesterday. Still under goal but shoulda-coulda stopped after dinner.0 -
If you want to snack at night just save calories for it. It doesn't matter if you eat your snack at 2pm or 10pm. Just save some calories for your late snacks and youre good to go.0

Yea! Well I haven't had much of an appetite lately. Weird. I have been doing a sort of intuitive eating. I stopped worrying about if I was getting enough protein or if I was having too many carbs. I think I do better eating whatever carbs I like lol. Keeps me from craving things later.0 -
My posting is not - should I say my iPad is not letting me post what I am typing ... things are being added...or not showing what I want???? Maybe I should go and use my computer and not the iPad.
Gee Now I can see what I am typing... maybe I will try to start this again....

This is one of my toughest battles. My will can be mighty and strong all day, but when the sun goes down, it loses all of its fight. Apparently, it's solar powered. An added boost to the challenge is that an illness causes me to occasionally crave sugar. When it hits, it's usually hardest at night. And I can have absolutely no artificial sweeteners.
So, I've committed myself to eating nothing after dinner. If the sweet cravings are bad, I allow myself a cup of tea with a bit of honey. Some nights I'm good, some nights not so much. I love this idea of tracking them. I start today. The accountability should help.
