    Off today for a weekend away. To Evansville to visit youngest daughter. Tonight is my wifes valentine present celebration.... Tickets to Luke Bryan, Little Big Town, and Dirks Bentley. Taking my bike and Friday is biking day. Yeah and they say 22 mph winds gusts to 40 go figure. Saturday its bike ride in the morning and then visiting 3 winerys and 2 breweries.

    All are doing great!!

    yessssssssssss the 'ice storms' are gorgeous and especially if the sun comes out... In our case NO SUN so it was not as pretty...I'm glad it's all GONE!

    Yesterday (Feb 17th) was a slower walk but several long walks.....4.0 Walking Miles...

    Bright and sunny today.....should get in a good walk as it warms. I think the hubby and I are taking the girls too a park today.....

    30 mins walking yesterday, 80 today (having a good long phone call with a friend) along the local river.

    Agree about the Tarmac in Dovedale Girlina, but luckily we crossed over to the other side - and then went on up past the Apostles viewpoint. Must be heaving in the summer...


    As I was going down my local hill today a young chap passed me on his way up complaining about the climb - to be fair it IS steep... pleased to report that I didn't even notice the climb on my way back home ! Just gossiped on to my friend... So fitter than a 20 year old ??!

    I think I was there Easter weekend - you can imagine!!!! Great for families as it is buggy friendly, but my walking buddy and I like to drift off paths and explore interesting looking crags, flowers, critters etc. - not much scope for that. Plenty of other great locations in the Peaks though!!!

    great that you are fitter than a 20 year old - maybe we should line them up to test you?

    lol girlinahat. It seems SOME kids today dont want too do anything but play video games, watch movies, etc. My husbands niece moved here. She has two kids. We finally got them walking with us...lol They are ages 8 and 11.

    Yesterday we were away all day BUT we did get in some hiking in the mountains....3.0 Walking Miles...
    TODAY was a glorious day...GLORIOUS, SUNNY, WARM DAY of which I got in a whopping 5.0 Walking Miles... NO SPRING has not sprung for very long they tell us...

    Escaped for a brief walk today - I am getting cabin fever with my under-the-weather kid....and even my usual activity (let alone the stretch goal) is proving hard. Hubby away now too.

    A weekend of dance workshops - 10 hours of Balboa/Blues dancing plus a late night dancing on Saturday. All quite taxing on the brain, and blistering on the feet (think my shoes are too small, either that or I just get trod on too often...)

    Totals so far:
    47.75/50 miles walking/running/dancing steps
    14/10 hours dancing.

    A migraine today which is going to make working interesting! Think I have finally figured out my trigger though, but how to test it? Do I really want to deliberately trigger a migraine?

    Sundays are not usually the best days for exercise although I did get in 1 mile before evening Services...

    Feb 20 - 46.9 km (148 min) cycling. Actually, it was a lot longer than 148 min, but I entered that to get a realistic calorie amount.

    On this day, my husband and I accomplished one of the goals that has been on my list since we arrived in Tasmania. We cycled up kunanyi/Mt Wellington!!

    We started in a location about 2 metres above sea level ... and cycled up and up and up until 24 km later, we reached the top at an elevation of 1271 metres (4170 feet).

    went for my first run in the great outdoors last night!! I don't know whether it's because I've had an incline of 1.5 on a treadmill, but my average speed was quite a bit higher when on a gravel path (gently undulating). Am looking forward to brighter mornings so I can go outside more - it's the boredom of the treadmill that gets me.

    Am struggling with getting to the gym and keeping up a routine at the moment. It's an excuse but, having got to the running constantly for 30 minutes phase of c25k, and not having any longer to spend in the gym, I'm now bored. Hence why trying to run outside. I was fine when I had a target, now, I'm lacking motivation. I want to switch to a Stronglifts routine, but as always am a little nervous on form and getting hold of those weights. Will give it a review on the weekend to get me ready for next week. Am painfully aware that I have an obstacle race in three weeks time!!!

    No so much exercise past few days. Family member in Hospital. Been running back and forth on a lot of things..Did manage 1.5 Walking Miles on Tuesday and only 1.0 Walking Mile Wednesday....

    total thus far Feb 24th ...60.0 Walking Miles...
    total thus far Feb 24th .:.. 25.0 Exercise Bike Miles...

    Sounds fab Machka....and that is some climb! And I was tempted outside too today - Girlina ... Lucky cos afterwards my plans for the rest of the day fell apart to yet more care stuff (dad really struggling today, colonoscopy ..).

    So only 25 mins of walking in the morning sun, and a fair bit of gin and chocolate pudding tonight to help me destress....(!).

    There again it was a walk I wouldn't have taken without the challenge. Thanks challenge. And I did share the pud with my daughter. She's too young for gin.
