    No, he insisted everything would be fine despite my pleadings. Yes, it was so fun to walk half mile back on the freeway to retrieve the garbage can lid. Wouldn't you know it, I found someone's bungee cord on the way back to it, too. (Not ours then, but ours now). Awkward drive home...
