Why are so many excluding milk from their diet?

I don't drink it because my sinuses are broken and dairy just sits there making it hard to breathe, the same goes for yoghurt and ice cream though I am willing to suffer for them ;)

so do you drink human breast milk? A friend of mine who was breast feeding was producing a ton of milk, way more then her baby girl could eat. She pumped and stuck it in the freezer. Her Dr. mentioned that some people would buy it to drink! For like $10 an oz!

I personally don't like the taste of milk- i do love cheese though.

There are human breast milk banks who take donated breast milk, pasturize it, and then sell it to moms who cannot produce enough breast milk for their baby. Its sold first to parents with special needs babies...but there are parents who purchase it for non special needs babies. It is also possible to get breast milk donated directly from a mom, if you happen to know one with an oversupply.

I paid $6/oz for breast milk through a milk bank for my special needs daughter when she was an infant. She could only tolerate breast milk from a mom on a special diet and I have breast hypoplasia (insufficient glandular tissue...its medically diagnosed, and causes me to produce 1/10th of what a baby needs). My other children had formula, but my one daughter got violently ill on all types of formula (even the special hypoalergenic ones). Thankfully my sister has an oversupply when nursing and she had a baby when my daughter was 3 months. Using her extra breast milk saved me nearly $30,000 in my daughters first year.

+1. Love your worldly view and understanding.

Pus very much is a part of All Dairy ...."Up to 400,000 million somatic (pus) cells are legally allowed in each litre of milk sold in the UK." (Other places may vary but removing all pus from Dairy Products is impossible! It's part of Cows Milk ...Breast Milk)

Dr T Colin Capbell spent 25 years researching Animal Protein & it's effects on the human body in the largest human study ever done 'The China Study'. He himself grew up on a Dairy Farm drinking Milk everyday! Since his findings that "Casesin (The Protein found in Milk) is a Carcinogen (Cancer Promoting).. Him & his Family have changed to follow a strict Plantbased Diet.

During the Research they could literally Start & Stop Cancer Growth by adding or taking away Animal Protein partically 'Casesin Protein' Cows Milk. (Plant proteins had no effect on Cancer Cell Growth)

Dairy is also more likely to cause Osteoporosis rather than prevent it (The opposite of how it is Advertised!)

I don't know why more people don't know about this...!?

I spent 25 years eating Dairy everyday... I haven't eaten any for nearly 6 years & I feel great for it!

If you care about Your Health & the Health of the ones you Love, I'd highly encourage everyone to remove Animal Protein from their Diets... Particularly Dairy Products!
    HAAAAA.... no.

Vegetable roots are for vegetables. I am not a vegetable.

To answer OP's question, some cut dairy out because it's fairly calorie dense (although it's macro/micronutrient profile is great). Others cut it out because they've read pseudoscience and scaremongering on disreputable propaganda sites saying that dairy is "bad for you" or "dangerous" or "unhealthy".

I stopped drinking milk because I stopped eating cereal, weetbix etc

I stopped eating cereals for an unknown reason.

Then I realised I'm getting like no calcium.

So I started back in the milk.

Probably wasn't an issue, according to a dexa scan my bone density is near max.

If you were eating vegetables you were getting calcium, lots of greens like broccoli are high in calcium.

Pretty sure I was getting calcium just not enough.

Probably not enough veggies or not the right sort.

I have heard that drinking milk leads to loss of calcium from bones leading to osteoporosis, a few times lately.

    Is this even remotely true.

I realise I'm only one person but according to a dexa scan my bone density is very high which means I'm all good calcium wise right?

But I drink a lot of milk. Less lately, but growing up at a guess I would drink/eat about a litre of milk a day maybe more, just about every day, on weetbix, with milo, just straight.

Am I an anomaly where milk consumption hasn't stripped my bones of calcium or is this claim just something vegans tell their kids when they misbehave

Do you walk or lift for exercise? Weight bearing exercise is good for the bones.

I don't get it. I can understand not liking milk, but to exclude it solely because of dieting purposes? Am I missing something.

Milk is such an easy way to get in your protein. Fairlife milk provides me with 13 grams of protein per cup. If you love milk, I don't see any reason to stop drinking it.

Some people think it is mucus forming in the gut? I must admit to feeling guilty about drinking milk for some reason ... But I have trouble getting enough calcium and protein so drink it.

I like milk however not drinking it as I wish cuts out about 200 calories a day. While eating at a deficit, it doesn't make sense for me to spend calories on a drink. It is an easy cut for me. I will save calories for it if I am going to eat warm cake or cookies.

I tried almond milk but did not like the taste.

Other than that, it's totally gross and not meant for human consumption.
I always thought milk was nasty no matter the flavor

Honestly milk upsets my stomach. I love it though! Its probably dumb that I still eat cottage cheese or cheese in general but its affects are minimal compared to a glass of just straight up milk (or that could just be psychological). We drink lactaid or almond milk generally. If only there was a lactose free cottage cheese...

Or maybe the pus in goat cheese isn't gross. Much more tasty pus and good to eat. Mmmmmmm, who doesn't love the taste of goat pus?

I don't drink the milk. I eat the cheese, which tends to have further pasteurization which destroys a lot of the bacteria. Any rate, goat cheese is easier on my stomach and that's what I go by.

I never liked milk, even as a child. I liked chocolate milk but only because I liked to eat all of the chocolate powder or syrup that fell to the bottom of the glass. I'm not vegetarian/vegan either but I much prefer the taste of unsweetened flax, soy, almond or coconut milk. Especially in my morning coffee.

I don't like milk. I think it tastes nasty. I can stomach chocolate milk but only on rare occasions. I eat cheese, yogurt, ice cream. I don't even like milk in cereal. I have been buying yogurt and mixing my cereal with it.

    Things I learned today:
Milk isn't meant for humans to drink but apparently everything else is okay.
Milk has pus, except it doesn't.
Pus is only gross until you pasteurize it.

Goats are magical. I guess stealing milk from this kids is okay but from calves is evil and gross?

I don't understand the lack of consistency.
