Why are so many excluding milk from their diet?

I cut out dairy all together because it doesn't digest in my body and also it makes my face break out really bad0

I don't get it. I can understand not liking milk, but to exclude it solely because of dieting purposes? Am I missing something.
Milk is such an easy way to get in your protein. Fairlife milk provides me with 13 grams of protein per cup. If you love milk, I don't see any reason to stop drinking it.
Some people think it is mucus forming in the gut? I must admit to feeling guilty about drinking milk for some reason ... But I have trouble getting enough calcium and protein so drink it.0 -

I have heard that drinking milk leads to loss of calcium from bones leading to osteoporosis, a few times lately.
Is this even remotely true.
I realise I'm only one person but according to a dexa scan my bone density is very high which means I'm all good calcium wise right?
But I drink a lot of milk. Less lately, but growing up at a guess I would drink/eat about a litre of milk a day maybe more, just about every day, on weetbix, with milo, just straight.
Am I an anomaly where milk consumption hasn't stripped my bones of calcium or is this claim just something vegans tell their kids when they misbehave
This study debunks that myth:

I like milk however not drinking it as I wish cuts out about 200 calories a day. While eating at a deficit, it doesn't make sense for me to spend calories on a drink. It is an easy cut for me. I will save calories for it if I am going to eat warm cake or cookies.
I tried almond milk but did not like the taste.0 -
Other than that, it's totally gross and not meant for human consumption.
I always thought milk was nasty no matter the flavor

Honestly milk upsets my stomach. I love it though! Its probably dumb that I still eat cottage cheese or cheese in general but its affects are minimal compared to a glass of just straight up milk (or that could just be psychological). We drink lactaid or almond milk generally. If only there was a lactose free cottage cheese...0

Or maybe the pus in goat cheese isn't gross. Much more tasty pus and good to eat. Mmmmmmm, who doesn't love the taste of goat pus?0 -
Perhaps the goat is just more appropriately dressed?0

I don't drink the milk. I eat the cheese, which tends to have further pasteurization which destroys a lot of the bacteria. Any rate, goat cheese is easier on my stomach and that's what I go by.0 -

Well then, that is even better news.0 -
I never liked milk, even as a child. I liked chocolate milk but only because I liked to eat all of the chocolate powder or syrup that fell to the bottom of the glass. I'm not vegetarian/vegan either but I much prefer the taste of unsweetened flax, soy, almond or coconut milk. Especially in my morning coffee.0

I don't like milk. I think it tastes nasty. I can stomach chocolate milk but only on rare occasions. I eat cheese, yogurt, ice cream. I don't even like milk in cereal. I have been buying yogurt and mixing my cereal with it.0

Things I learned today:
Milk isn't meant for humans to drink but apparently everything else is okay.
Milk has pus, except it doesn't.
Pus is only gross until you pasteurize it.0 -

Goats are magical. I guess stealing milk from this kids is okay but from calves is evil and gross?
I don't understand the lack of consistency.0
