I don't see anything wrong with it but then I live 10 minutes from a legal brothel.

If you're a stripper, can you still *kitten* about being objectified?

I would say when at work you shouldn't complain at people gawking at you since that is your job as long as they keep their hands to themselves if that is the rules at the club.

Outside of work I would think they should be allowed the same personal boundaries and feelings as someone with any other type of job.

At least that is how I think about it.

Because it's hard on your soul, which is why many strippers end up on drugs.

And are you married? Plan on getting married? You either narrow the pool of men to those who wouldn't mind marrying a stripper, or you lie about your past, which is also hard on your soul.

LOL..people get flagged for the weirdest reasons. I agree with your comment, although we may be in the minority. But in the end, it's your life, your soul, your future. You need to do what will make you happy :)

I see you're 18 years old. Would you have a problem telling your parents what you do for work? Any of your siblings? If you do, then it may not be for you.

Also, "wear really cute clothes"? Do strippers actually wear clothes?

Edit: You should probably just get a job at Hooters or Twin Peaks.

Yes my parents know I have also gotten permission from them to be a stripper for money for college I just have to be classy and yes classy ones do

Well, there's dirty perverse people, along with the normal human natured people.. It's a pretty dirty environment to tell you the truth. I went into a strip club like twice and the atmosphere is a dirty one.

I would wonder how big of a difference there was between the supposed classy places and the dives. I also wonder if a rookie could just walk into a classy place and get a job.

It's not "bad." It may not be the wisest choice depending on your plans for your life though. Many potential partners and employers may think it's "bad."

Agree with the others who talked about the age out. Planning for it to be a short term job, cool. Same goes for prostitution in my opinion. Career? Not likely to work out. It's a job where your earning potential decreases over time.

Stripping while classy? Um...are you talking about a burlesque?

I see an oxymoron in there somewhere....do your parents actually know what's involved in "stripping while keeping it classy??"
Because "trashy strippers actually take off their clothes and are more along the lines of hooker but "classy strippers" tend to just dance and they work at clubs who have rules for guests to keep their hands to themselves.

Here's my two cents. Every job has merit, and anything that pays well can help your future. BUT. Your body is yours...you are only 18, and have loads of years left to do things you may regret later. This is one of those things. It can come back to haunt you in MANY ways later, starting with future career opportunities, future mate opportunities, even friends, good ones, could disappear. Please think good and hard, with an open mind, about how you want your future to unfold. Good luck with whatever you decide to do...xo

do what you want, it's not hurting anybody. If you really need the money and don't care about idiots judging you go right ahead. Just pick a good place and if one of the places you're looking at gives you a weird vibe don't apply there. I know some girls back at home that are making good money stripping and they're extremely happy they're able to afford things and pay their bills.

So you want to be a stripper who doesn't strip. And you say Mom strippers are bad and gross. You're going to be REALLY popular at work.

Well obviously I'd strip just not down to nothing. I'd keep some things on
