I just think it's funny; I bet it's those same parents worry about a strip club existing within city limits that say it's fine to breastfeed in public. Hmmm...

I travel a lot and unfortunately, see a lot of unwanted boob.

I'm seeing a lot of your unwanted face. Why does that matter?

And strip clubs =/= breast feeding. Hell, strip clubs =/= public nudity.

I don't see what the issue is I mean if I'm hungry and someone is offering a tit ...I'd prolly jump on it too....

Nah just be respectful don't be breastfeeding a 5 year old and just have your stuff hanging all over the place.

I should hope no one is breast feeding a 5 year old...

Google "attachment parenting breast feeding'. Come back when your mind is no longer blown.

Mind still blown. But I'll just keep my opinions on that to myself.

You know what happens when you assume?

I support strip clubs and public breastfeeding. I generally pro-breast as a way of life.

I had a histology prof in college that advocated this. His wife breast fed all their kids until they were 6 and 7. Obviously it wasn't their main food by that age but they took a suckle every now and then when they felt like it.

Side note: It had nothing to do with histology but it's the only lecture I specifically remember.

Doesn't affect my day-to-day life, but at least pretend to be discreet. And don't be all militant with the "WTF RU looking at?!" response! (I wasn't the target, but have witnessed it) ...

I have told people to take pictures. I mean, it's one think to notice. It's another thing to glare, sneer, or stare. In which case, yes, WTF R U Looking at? EVER SEE A BOOB BEFORE? There's an adult magazine store around the corner that might have more of what you are looking for.

Nah, when you live in vegas it's the norm to see strip clubs. Drive a few minutes from town and you can go have a drink in a *kitten* house.

I think boobies are gorgeous, so they are all wanted to me.

I know a mom who did this. Freaked me out the first time her kid (5 years old) ran into the room we were in, pulled her shirt up, nursed, and ran away. Still feel uncomfortable with it.... tho I know that the WHO recommends nursing until age 4 (or at least it did when I was researching this ten years ago).

Sure, why not.; babies have to eat. In fact, in Ontario it's no longer illegal for women to go topless in public......

(I wasn't the target, but have witnessed it) And remember that just like you have the right to do it, others have the equivalent right to look. Personally I look away, but the whole world shouldn't have tiptoe around you with their hand to their eyes like they forgot their sunglasses on a cloudless day.

Actually, I can see this point. I've been around when this has happened. There are quite a few men I know that only don't really like when women breastfeed in public because if they happen to glance the woman's way or their eyes pass by them, the women immediately give them disgusted dirty looks, assuming that the man was getting some sort of pleasure watching them or are just trying to look at their boobs.

If you have to do it then do it but don't do it just for sake of doing it.

That reminds me, I was totally in the mood for some breastfeeding. Just need to go find me a baby...

I have no problem with either, but to try to say they are comparable is pretty laughable!

I feed my baby when and where she's hungry, and you can be really subtle without using a hooter hider. My kid has never had a bottle, so boob was the only option for a long time.

Also, in South Carolina, it's illegal to kick a woman out on any public place for breastfeeding.

yay. it's natural, and i don't see why there is a problem with a woman covered breastfeeding on a park bench. baby has to eat too and shouldn't need to wait to eat bc someone people are uptight about boobs in public.

well if there is 1 thing we can all agree on its dat the human body is profane and yeh i guess babbies gotta eat but thats gross. women should definitely go to the bathroom because if i wanted porn i would go look it a playboy. thats just profane and triflin. i gotta pee sometimes but i don't do it in public.

Wait it's OK to see fake boobies on a published magazine but to see breast doing what they are meant to do is comparable to relieving a bodily function? Hmmmm is it because breastfeeding desexualizes breasts?

Of course. The prudes who are so against it are positively ridiculous. It's a breast. It isn't a sexual organ. Sexually-repressed puritans need to get a life. And frow the guck up.

I breastfed all my babies in public.. it was simple they were hungry and needed to eat. I was discrete as I respect that it makes some people uncomfortable.. but at home not so much.

You can even go topless in cali and a few other states. Theres a whole site dedicated to women going topless in public and it lists the states that this is legally allowed. Google it.

Yes, babies need to eat, mommies need to get the milk out of their breasts. It happens. It's also good for children and young people to see. It will help them later to nurse their own babies if they've seen it before and asked questions. I don't understand why people are against it. People that are against it probably didn't see enough of it when they were little.

o.O a picture is worth how many words?

please pm me right away if you are my friend or know me somehow on these boards and think I will get a strike for this. there are no cleavages and apparently time magazine was ok with it. it's non sexual and very germane to this topic what with summertime tank top nursing, older kids nursing and whatnot.
