    Good morning Sara~~

Maggie Smith is a sure thing, always. I love her.

I am so sorry that you are not able to keep your air conditioning on all of the time.

As for the cleaning you are doing, I am inspired. I heard from my sister-in-law yesterday, and indeed she and my 14-yr old niece will be coming for the weekend of July 27th. I MUST tidy up for them. Guest rooms seem to collect empty cardboard boxes and other junk.

Yes, it is time to audition and interview more applicants for the Cabana Boys. My friend James is down in Rio now on vacation. He will bring back a few from Brazil. They may not speak any English yet, but they have other plusses. 😉

Hello all! It’s been a crazy week. Husband is out of town during the week for work the next few weeks and I’ve been swamped at work and at home with household and puppy duty. Did well the first part of the week but not so much the last 2-3 days. Back on track tomorrow. Went to the grocery store and loaded up on healthy stuff for the week. I really need to get my crap together!

Hope everyone is having a good weekend. I’ll probably end up going to bed early tonight, which my body desperately needs.

Eryn - It all starts at the grocery store.....You did well to bring healthy stuff into the house! Good girl!

Lana - I let boxes from packages sit and pile up and the "fillers" that come with it. that was this morning's project.

Food tip, using hummus instead of mayo/mustard. Better texture and less salt.

Have to wash by hand my pots so I can make shepherd's pie with yukon potatoes and lentils as the "protein". Wont start any of that until later, but book reading awaits.

4:30pm here. It might be time for a little nap. The landscaper with the weed-whacker and the trimmer is driving me a bit batty. It's just one guy, and he's been next door All Day Long. Gah. On a Sunday!!!

So far today, I'm still OP, but it has not been easy. I made some just-awful soup yesterday, and I finished it today. I will never do that again: I put together some frozen mixes vegetables with some low sodium broth, and then added some flavorless pea protein powder for the protein......it was bitter, and completely unsatisfying. All gone now. Sara's shepherd's pie sounds a whole lot better!

Hallmark channel has Christmas movies 24/7, till July 28th... can't help it... been watching since last night. I will go back to regular programming, tomorrow... maybe tonight.. even tho I'm dreading the holidays this year... there is something magical about Christmas... the movies are pretty unrealistic...I just like the feeling, not necessarily the romance that's always included...

Took my grands out to some garage sales today. I spent s whopping $15.00 and they got lots! I then found a new produce store, I think I’ll be shopping there from now on.

    Hi all!

My computer died and I've been without one for a couple weeks. Back up and running now. Last week I only made it to the gym once but I did manage to get in a 5 mile paddle in my kayak yesterday. I think I lost about 5 pounds via sweating. So much humidity! I am having a battle with myself to not go to Target and grab all their new teacher items! So many cute things and I live right across the street :(

    Good evening,

Welcome back sammieb, that water looks cool (humidity does not register in pictures). Would Dollar Tree be cheaper if there is one in your area?

    Freezer will be as follows
    1 zucchini enchilada
    2 pork fried rice
    3 lentil shepherds pie.

Have 2 servings I am keeping of shepherd's pie in fridge, otherwise it is grab frozen bag throw into lunch bag and go.

Too hot to knit, will watch something online and call it a night.

QOTW - we need one - what goals are you setting for yourself?

AOTW - making sure I take care of my puffy feet at the end of the day and keep working on organizing things whether it is my knitting bags or my "junk areas".

Local Grocery Outlet store was selling $5 bags to be given to local food closet - bag was full of items that food closet could distribute. My thinking is that if I ever need to use a food closet at least I know I gave as well as took. I got a $5 off coupon if I spend $25 I have a month to use it. I also bought 2 small size Toblerone there - one is gone and was enjoyed >:) .

    Wishing all a good night.

    MONDAY

    Good morning,

Worst weigh in. Feel like a pork bun. I see the Dr in a couple of weeks and we will discuss this as I think it is medicine I am taking....... will just try and do my best.

It is early, but figured I may as well get up. Cooler outside, so windows open.

Wave to all who follow. Lurking from work.

    Happy Monday, all!

After a few not-so-good food days, I am ready to go back to eating better and lighter. I also need to get more water in!! Haven't been getting nearly enough.

I did so some food prep to make the week easier! Organic, grass fed bunless beef burgers with microproteins, baked chicken, various roasted veggies - sweet potatoes, broccoli... and portioned off organic strawberries and raspberries for the mornings to go with the eggs/bacon/smoothie I'll make. Trying to keep it simple!

Hope everyone has a good Monday! I'll be lurking. :)

Happy Monday! I've been unplugged since Friday. My Kindle died. :'( Will be Wednesday when the SO orders a new one. I will lurk from work. Sad it broke my check-in streak on MFP though. I was up to 56 days.

    Umbrella drinks for all!

We don't have Target here in Canada but didn't I see a post that teachers get 15% off this week?

I need to start doing some strength training of some kind, I keep only doing cardio and I think strength might jump start a loss for me. I bought some 8 pound weights on Thursday, now I need to figure out what to do with them.

I also need to clean out and organize some areas, we haven't lived at this place for 2 years yet and I had sorted and discarded so much when we moved in, already I am feeling cluttered again. I need to fix this though because we live in a very tiny 2 bedroom mobile home, if things aren't in place it looks messy very fast.

I need to get back to some lighter food as well, I seem to have fallen off the rails in the last few weeks.

Today did not go as planned..
SO injured his already bad back, last week. Tried to get him to go to ER since then. Of course, he decided since I was at work, today was the day to go. What a bad experience. The hospital that is local, is not a good hospital. (He went 3 times in excruciating pain, before they decided he had a hernia) so, everyone told me to go to hospital in a bigger city (Jefferson City. Yes, our State Capital) heard nothing but good things. Wow. Could not have been more disappointed. The only good thing, less wait time. The Dr was an *kitten*. He told SO what was wrong with him, before even looking at him. Hardly let SO speak. Sat down and propped his feet up. Told SO, it's his Sciatica... put him on meds for 1 week, per protocol... if he's not any better in a week, see a Specialist. And, told him, he doesn't think he'll get better. I can only assume, the treatment is due to lack of insurance. The "bad" hospital, would have spent more time with him and given him a pain injection. They would have listened. We will not be going back to the "good" hospital...
