Hello All~~
Sara, I'm happy for you that you are getting in your steps and that the scale is being kind.
Tracy - so sorry to hear about that poor turnout and people not saying in advance that they do not care for that type of food. I wonder if people are staying away because of the covid? Or are they supporting other stuff, just not the Oktoberfest.
Well, I hope that the new roof goes well. I had mine done two years ago, and so I warn you: it IS noisy. Hopefully you can run away somewhere 😉
Dreary and wet here again today, so I'm going to be lazy and not go out walking.
Lana1 -
Nope. No running away. Working from home for the rest of the year. My Virtual Meeting tomorrow afternoon should be loads of fun!

Hello all!
Speaking of rain - it is battering against my window. I would love to crawl back in bed...Alas I am at work
Waves to all! Hoping you have a great Monday!
Lynn1 -
Ohhh, I wish we could get some of that rain!! there is a drought going on here with the last measurable rainfall was back in August! Our pond is just a mudpuddle. I have lost several of my plants to lack of water.
The swap meet went sorta well. There were 27 vendors but not many people showed up to buy. Several people who did stop in said they didn't know what was going on. It was advertised in local paper, had a story on front page, everyone in club was sharing the flyer on FB, IG, and Twitter. Will need to figure out how to advertise it better.
Only one out of the 3 food trucks scheduled showed up. One was called up by FEMA to go to LA to help with Delta. Another had mechanical issues and was stuck at a shop waiting on parts. The truck that did show served cajun food. It was good food but not everyone likes cajun. Since this was the very first swap meet we have ever done, we learned a lot. Will see what next year brings.
I got in nearly 20k steps while working the swap meet! Needless to say, Sunday I felt super tired and had no motivation to do anything.
Am at work today, only one of two people in the entire building. I worked today in order to take a floating holiday later. Plus its not bad being only one in building. Can get a lot more work done that way!1 -
send us some rain please
people are skittish about big gatherings with covid. Can any of this be done online I know a group who did pie bidding online for Valentines Day.....
Tracey you are one of the few people I know who can make Stollen.
Fell on morning break and used the grass to pad my fall, no dog poo either, so must be my lucky day considering.
Monster offered to be my trainer if I didnt like the other one - likelyhood of that ??? less than zero

@Tilliesmommy1
It was my first try at stollen or German beer goulash, but it turned out really well.
I have watched so much Great British Baking Show, that my internal voice while baking or cooking has an English or Irish accent depending on how the process is going. English--good. Irish--bad.2 -
TUESDAY
Good morning,
I need that cup full of strong tea this morning.
Got myself up early and okay enough to work. I will have some lovely bruises.
Food choices are good until I hit the stress chocolate. But scale is staying same or inching slowly down.
Wave to all who follow. Stay safe and sane out there.1 -
Good morning all~~
Sara - So sorry to hear about your fall. Gah! I laughed out loud about the Mrs. Monster thing. Thanks for the happy mug on the beach--love it!!!
Waving to the rest of you ladies....I must get going....
The HVAC man is coming this morning to do the fall preventative maintenance. The Cabana Boys are all huffy.

Good grief - October is flying! Almost half gone! Crazy.
Well, my exercise has been diminished because of the crunchy knee that is healing, and of course the scale is keeping track of all of my bad choices.
What a mess.
Lana1 -
Good morning,
Lana what happened to your knee?
Cookies have been talking to me but there are no more in the house as of last night.
One more boss less day. I will enjoy as much as I can.

Sara - how are the bruising from the fall? you doing okay? nice that you got to have time with no Monsters. too bad it cant last longer!
Lana - how is the crunchy knee progressing? i cannot believe it is mid October! I swear it was just May!!
Have doctor appointment on Friday with a heart specialist. My neurologist wants me to have a TEE (TransEsphogeal Echocardiogram). I was supposed to have it done earlier this year but then COVID. Not looking forward to having it done at all....
Scales were kind this morning. said i was down one pound. I'll take it!

Good morning!
Kathryn - TEE - yikes. good luck! I will be thinking of you.
I also agree with the shock that it is mid October. Leaves are flying around here in WI. Love fall...don't so much love the smack dead of winter. Although that is my puzzle solving time of the year!
Waves to Lana and Sarah, DAWN!!! and Maureen and Tracey and all else who pop in!1 -
Sara - towards the last few days of my time out with the in-laws, my right knee was really suffering from all of the up and down the stairs in that house - actually all the up and down out of chairs just running to get things too.
When I came home, it was swollen and very unhappy. Since then, it has been very slowly getting better every day. I have not been going on my walks. I get outside almost every day, and I clock some steps here in the house.....so it is 75% better, but still a little funky.
I am also at my heaviest weight now, which is very bad for knees. *sob*2 -
Kathryn and Lynn - I did not see your posts with the changeover of the pages here.....
Kathryn - the TEE sounds formidable. I'll have to go look that up.
Lynn - I'm with you re The Dead of Winter.0 -

Good morning,
Slept weird and my lower back is telling me slightly to not slouch - good idea anyway!
Training with new trainer for most of day - see if Monster can handle this....
One more day until Friday!! That is a lot.

Hello all!
Just peeping in.
Hope all are well!0 -
good news bad news
Bad news I already knew, no bonus for me. Why I had to be reminded of it I am not sure but Monster does love to rub things in.
Good news. I can do OT on Saturday which will help me with my cc debt project.
Halloween - 2 tons of sugar running around disguised as cute little candy all knowing my name. Hmph.0 -

Good morning,
Friday yay!!.
Cooler temps make it easier to sleep, but harder to get out of bed. Cant win, oh well.
Hoping to make a cheeseburger casserole after work so that while my weekend is pretty full, I still set up meals for next week.
Wave to all who follow. Stay safe and sane out there.1 -
Good morning Sara,
Glad the OT is available to you. Won't be fun working a Saturday, but extra money will help.
Morning Lana for when you pop in.
Cold, rainy windy weekend ahead. Maybe some housecleaning in my future Or binge TV...hmmmm0 -
Good morning All~~
Lynn - I vote for the binge TV!
Sara - Glad you get that extra work opportunity tomorrow. Good for the pocketbook. Harrumph on Monster 💩
It is raining here, and my allergies are making me miserable. *kitten*
Lana1 -

Consultation with cardiologist this morning resulted in 3 more appointments and scheduled the TEE. Doctor seemed knowledgable & was nice. He took time to explain the entire procedure to me and explained why they choose to do that particular test. He said my stroke is considered "cryptogenic" which basically means they cant figure out why I had one. Since I have none of the typical indicators, they are now looking to see if I have a hole or shunt in my heart which could allow blood clots to circulate and cause a stroke.
Also am scheduled for my flu shot and am waiting call back to schedule mammogram. This year my insurance has decided to cover the 3D mammo because of my dense tissue!
Meanwhile, scales said I am down again! Always happy to see that! Trying hard to replicate days I am well within my calorie budget.

Good morning everybody~~
Just flying by - lots to do this morning - will be back later 🧡
Lana1 -
Kathryn - I forget about your strange stroke. You explained things very well, so this TEE makes perfect sense.
As a dense-breast BC survivor, I am thrilled that you are getting the 3D mammogram 💗
Sara - I hope that you have a good Saturday workday 🤗
I voted today! This is the first time I've done the early voting, and I happened to go when there was no line.
Now I must gather up my garbage and take it to "the dump". I sure know how to have a good time ladies!
Dawn - check in when you can!
Waving to Lynn and Tracy and Maureen and Runa and Missy and everyone else who stops by later on~~

Happy Saturday!
Busy week last week and next week looks just as busy. I had applied for a better paying position in my department, had the interview and awaiting the results. I don’t know which is more anxiety producing- waiting for the interview or waiting for the results....
I also decided to go with the Garmin Fenix 6s Sapphire. Battery life alone was a winner for me. Going to be pacing regularly until I hear about the results. That should help build up my steps lol1 -
Good morning, just.
Groceries, hair coloring, and mailed blanket this morning. Afternoon is open to work and do laundry.
Missy - keeping "fingers crossed" about "pay promotion" at work. Hard to know which is worse and pacing counts so have at it!!!!!
Will try and make 2 casseroles this weekend so I have no excuse for meals.
Dawn - I hope you are okay.
Wave to all who follow. Stay safe and sane out there.2 -
Hi all! Just a quick popping in today. I did dance twice this week. It isn’t the same at all, but it feels so much better to be moving. I have gained weight so far this month even though I stayed under calories more often. It’s just too much inactivity and comfort food due to stress. 😢
Hope y’all have a great weekend!4
