    Good morning,

Lana I have seen those before - glad your "number" isnt higher than at home. How is breadland? Hope your inlaws are doing well.

Cooking of at least one of my meal plans today. Not sure which - slept in so the world is a little foggy still.

    Good morning Sara~~

FIL is doing much better, however, he is not back to normal at all. His blood pressure fluctuates greatly; he needs a walker; he can get up and down the stairs only once per day, with two of us guarding the way (big belt from the physical therapist).

I am planning on being here another 1.5 weeks.

Breadland is a challenge, but I've got my fruits and veggies and H2O 👍🏻
A few days ago, I did the grocery shopping, and a box of cookies hopped into the cart. Thankfully, my little nephew ate most of them! 😂
This is also The House of Wine, but I haven't had any alcohol in 15 days, and I am happier without it.

Sara - I hope that you cook some good things for yourself to have throughout the week.

    Good morning,

Our air quality is getting better!

Scale not so bad, went to look at history and I am same weight as this spring which is encouraging.

Need a nice strong cup of tea to get this one started. Made 6 meals (even though pancakes was one of them). Have the makings for asian stir fry and pancakes are in freezer.

    Hello!

Welp, my partner is gone, and I have definitely found some solace in calories. I didn't go TOO overboard for TOO long, but I'm sort of at a loss about how to eat dinner now. For most of the last three and a half years, my partner and I have had dinner together, and most weekend meals. I have a feeling I'll be turning to frozen meals for awhile, just because I'm too emotionally wrought to really think about cooking. I'm going to try and make a pasta with asparagus and zucchini tomorrow, which will last a couple days; and I have the makings of a smoked sausage/potato sheet pan meal.

The smoke has cleared up, and we seem to have suddenly popped into Autumn sometime when the sky was not visible. I'm going to try and get a walk to work in tomorrow, because the rest of the week looks like rain.

Waving to everyone! Have an awesome evening!

ethelb - so glad you can see the sky again - I am in CA and forgot what blue looked like - and you have rain!! a little jealous. keep one of your healthy habits going (pick and easy one) so that while you find your new normal you still have a foundation in your health.

    Good morning,

Thank you Lana for getting us started!!

Friend from work said "early dinner"? I said "I am too easy".

Worked so hard yesterday to get my workload down that I slept so long after work that I could not go to sleep at night. Cant win for trying.

Made asian noodle dinner and now have 4 meals in fridge and 2 in freezer. I have frozen boxes and making sure they are my last resort.

Had grilled cheese and soup for dinner with a scoop of ice cream, so not bad considering the possibilities.

    Good morning,

Lana thank you for starting us.

I hope my tea is strong. It is almost Friday and I do not have a to do list - I got my meds yesterday and had to make 2 trips. The nearby Walgreens closed and all the orders came to the CVS I go to so they are even more behind. I said fine I will go have dinner and be back. Deodorants and anti perspirants are locked up as people are stealing them so says CVS corporate. Honey if I am going to jail for stealing it will not be for something like that. Heard word that ice cream in NY is also on lock down. They put chocolate on lockdown there will be words.....

Hello Sara and Lana! And to whomever pops in.

Sara - my daughter worked for CVS while in college and she said the theft was unbelievable! They were told never to confront. They just watch and linger and hope that deters. Sad.

Son probably exposed to COVID and so it starts. His boss home ill and tested, but symptoms are COVID. Wisconsin is a big mess with cases. Sigh. Luckily we have an upstairs and he is now banished up there. Has a separate entrance. We will try and steer clear of him.

    Have a great Thursday

    Friday!

Not that Friday means much other than I don't have to sit behind this desk that looms in my den. Busy Saturday ahead. Tomorrow is our Annual Dice Run for Gianna's Voice. I will go to the Lodge at 3 am to start breakfast for the BBQ team coming in at 6 am. After that, I will bake 2 peach cobblers for the baked goods auction. The oven at the Lodge is bigger than mine so I can bake two at once and be done.

I have several things to do at the Lodge during any "down" time. Dice Run starts at 12. BBQ dinner at 4. Baked Goods Auction probably around 6. I'm donating 3 of the 33 bottles of liquor I won at Conference.

After that we have Karaoke with Ray Ray. He's a true entertainer and we usually pull a big crowd when he comes.

Hopefully, I will be home before midnight.

I lost my day streak on MFP last Sunday. I took a day away from electronics to sleep and watch some tv. This Sunday may be the same. I am physically, mentally, and emotionally exhausted. No free Saturdays until mid-January. Dreaming of a time when I can take a couple of days to disappear from life completely.

Have a great day, everyone! Make the best choices you can in the situation you have.

    Good morning,

Tracy - good to hear from you. The exhaustion I understand and I get sleep whenever possible. Is your gathering a large one and are you "masking" for yourself? I am one of the few people who do in my world.

FRIDAY and not a moment too soon. Plans are to go yarn shopping after work. Yarn I ordered from Michaels never arrived so I have to start over and I am shopping the competitors to find out if I want to shop on line for them.

Food is okay but scale is letting me know.

I concur - great to hear from you Tracey! Hope all that goes well for you! It does sound like you need Sundays as a rest day!
Good morning Sara - enjoy your yarn shopping! I do nothing with yarn  so I cannot suggest any stores.
Hello Lana - assume you will be popping in soon as well!
Have a great Friday and better Saturday!

    Saturday??

    Good morning,

Got up and went grocery shopping, dozed off waiting for ride to yarn shop and she just called and is late - so I got some good napping in.

Meals set up for week. Weather okay today upper 90's and worse through Wednesday.

2 colors of orange strips is my next shawl - church having craft fair and I may/may not make deadline - they can raffle online if nothing else, if they are even interested.

    Snoring later today is expected.

    Good afternoon,

Last week, there was overwhelming smoke/fumes in my apartment again and I was miserably sick and inactive. This week, just as things were looking really good, I slipped on mud while walking under a carport during the rain and fell. I twisted my knee pretty spectacularly and have been resting. I’m pretty depressed with the timing and living in an apartment with stairs is very unfortunate. Plus, I have to pack, clean, and move out by the end of October. This will be most interesting to see how I manage. I’m pretty curious to see how it all unfolds, to be honest.

Someone brought me a 9V battery for my TENS unit since I had none at home. Therefore, yesterday, in addition to icing, wrapping in an ace bandage and tons of rest, I have begun massage for about 15-20 minutes a couple times a day.

    eo02q00r26bx.jpeg

All the binge eating to curb my emotions has caught up with me. Last Saturday I had a 0.2 lbs loss, but today I had a 4.6 lbs gain. Totally understandable, given my current circumstances and choices.

I hope everyone is doing well and staying safe!

    Runa~~

That totally stinks about your knee. I sure hope that it comes back for you soon. This year, it is one thing piling on top of another for all of us.
Moving is a drag, but hopefully your next home will make you feel comfortable.

Sara - I'm hoping that you are having a restful weekend. I looked at your air quality, and it is green and 33, which is great!

Hi, ladies. I've been AWOL. I did another 2 week stint in FL with my mom, and am still at 199--which is great, considering all the food at her house. I got a bit of exercise but pulled a calf muscle and had to stop jogging. Jogged about .25 today after a week long break--I should really wait another week, but I just had to move a bit faster even for that short distance. My butt muscle (sacrotuberous ligament) is a bit sore again, so i just don't know what to do. I want it to heal but I don't want to stop jogging any longer. I did get in a nice walk with a friend--first exercise since returning home on the 21st.

All else is going well and I'm glad to see familiar faces here. Hoping to be able to catch on to what's been happening--Lana, sounds like you are with In Laws due to FIL having a health crisis. Hugs all around. Everything is hard enough on people right now as it is, and no one needs extra.

My daughter is in a hotel with 4 friends, celebrating her 19th birthday. Lots of junk food, gossip, and the doing of nails. I'm sure they are having a good time and I haven't heard any complaints from the hotel, so I think they are behaving themselves. It's a nicer room than I've ever had, but it's what she wanted so I paid for the suite. My mom and one sister contributed, too.

School is tough--exhausting in ways I can't explain to do a 2 hour online lesson with a couple students Face-to-Face. It's so frustrating to have so many little things become challenges, like student computers won't do certain things, or they can't find the button on their screen and I can't just point to it (when they are attending via zoom). I took a nap Thursday after school. Haven't felt the need to nap like that in a long time.

But, it is lovely fall weather here and the dogs were happy to get back to long walks. I have to get back to my 2x/day b/c sitting around so much just makes me lazier.

One last bit of good news---I fit into a size 16 capri jeans and they were so comfy. I guess I can quit wearing pants that fall off and pull out the other 16s I've kept--one or two pairs hiding somewhere around here.

That's me--hoping to hear from all of you, too!

    Hello newbie
Read through a few posts. Mostly the beginning and couple of the recent ones. Congratulations to all of you and your ability to stay consistent. This is where I struggle the most.
Plan to check in more often. I seen post about food prep. I need a course in that.

    Good morning,

Slept too much yesterday after the week I had I was not surprised. Software on one of the workfiles was giving me more work than I needed so I basically did the work of more than 2 weeks in one. Brain was seriously dead.

Scale was kind to me today got 4500 steps yesterday and maybe the sugar I had hasnt settled.....

Got yarn which I have not had so many problems with. Now I have an orange stripped shawl (bright orange and tangerine colored stripes) and the baby blanket in sage heather. It will look like wool but is acrylic. Got enough yarn to make another shawl clearance yarn at 99 cents so yarn for a shawl at $9 could not pass it up.

Today is church sermon, get meds and food prep. Probably sweet potato tater tot casserole but beef not turkey and my veg mix has lima beans as well so not as much corn.

I'm back again, 2nd day in a row. Not much to brag about, but I'm barely hanging on by a thread, so it's important to me. There is so much junk food here at home b/c of my daughter's birthday--she bought it. And we had cheesecake for her bd cake, so today is a big wash. I want to find a rhythm again and just haven't been able to--or is it willing to? I say I want it, but don't follow through.

Anyway, it's nice to back here and seeing folks popping in.
